A MUST FOR (NON-PREGNANT) BACK SLEEPERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WOW. Just wow. I slept on this last night. You know that desperate feeling when you realize you have lived without something absolutely necessary for your whole life and you are suddenly panicking that you are going to lose the opportunity to hold on to that necessity? If this things dies, flattens...whatever, I must ensure this company continues making it, so I can obtain a replacement! I am actually tempted to order a back up right now. It was THAT GOOD. I had forgotten how good sleep can be (*crying tears of joy*). You see, I am a petite (5"5, 112 pounds) back sleeper. What this means is that I can never get comfortable. I wake up if my husband taps his foot. Every time there is a hint of needing to use the bathroom. Any excuse, really, to get out of bed so I can give my body a break from sleeping in one position all night, since doing so means I often have an aching pain in my ribs. I assume this is b/c my petite size means I never really sink into any mattress, so every mattress feels like I am on the floor. Ever slept on the floor? You know that aching feeling you get, where you have to breathe in and out to "de-compress" your ribs? That is what I feel like, all the time. I may be alone in this, but I suspect most petite back sleepers need A LOT OF CUSHION. I hesitate to say we need "soft" beds, since my Sleep Number's version of "soft" is really just "less support" (ie air leaves the mattress). That does not help me much. No, what I NEED (to not wake up in pain all night) is basically a PILLOW under my BODY. Extreme pillow top mattresses are the only thing that helps me--and they always compress, after time. I have tried everything: the priciest version of Sleep Number pillow top/adjustable bed (only helpful when the pillowtop was fluffy, during the first few months, although the adjustable part is helpful); medical sheep skin (minor help); wool (fairly helpful until it flattens, after a few MONTHS); down (fairly helpful until it flattens, after a few WEEKS); memory foam (hot and terrible); latex (felt ok but still had pain). The best sleep I ever had was in Japan, in a Buddhist monastery, and that is b/c I took down-filled tatami "mattresses" (which are like fluffy down comforters, but thicker--similar to this pillow) and put them on top of each other. I have not been able to replicate that sleeping experience, UNTIL THIS PILLOW. This thing was much better than any other topper I have ever tried, even before they flatten. I cannot believe how quickly I fell asleep! I always blamed taking forever to fall asleep on a busy mind, but I now realize it had more to do with not being comfortable enough to lull me into slumber! Anyway, I started looking for a "body pillow," after reasoning that my neck pillow does not need to be replaced (from flattening) over time, so why don't they make something thicker and more "pillow" like for the body? At first, I was really annoyed that all I could find were U shaped pillows. However, then I began to realize that U shapes may keep their form better, since the body is heavier than the neck, and everything I have ever tried ends up with filling shoved towards the edges, since my body weighs it down/pushes it outward. If the filling is contained in a tighter/thinner envelope, with some "give" where the body is, the filling has less chance of getting shoved in an outwards direction. Hopefully, my theory holds up and this retains its shape. Anyway, I chose this, specific, pillow bc it indicates it is for "back and belly," whereas most of them seem to be just for side sleepers--for those people who want to hug a pillow, basically. This one seemed to be a better shape, too, and more like an actual "body" pillow you can put your body on top of (vs a pool noodle). I also liked that they claim not to use many chemicals. If they would make a certified organic or "green" version, I would be ecstatic! Another brand pillow on Amazon got in trouble with the FTC for false advertising about the "green quality" of their pillow, which makes me not trust them, so this company seemed a lot more trustworthy, by comparison. Anyway, I found the "back and belly" pillow to be the perfect cushioning amount, even better than every other fresh out of the box "toppers," and I suspect it will not be easy to flatten, like all of the others, but I will update this review, if it does... Until then, YAY, for this pillow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This pillow is amazing for anyone who is a side-sleeper!!!
I don't just sleep with this pillow, I am flat out unconscious! It is incredibly comfortable, easy to snuggle, and always right where I need it to be. I am only 11 weeks pregnant, but I have always been a side-sleeper. I was already uncomfortable and having trouble sleeping just as a normal side-sleeper. No matter what pillow I bought, I never slept good. When I saw this pillow, I told my husband that I wanted to try it now, not when I actually had a huge belly that needed support. I sleep so well now, it amazes me! I used to toss and turn all night long, at least 4 times per hour I would switch sides. Now I may turn over twice the whole night! I wanted to talk about some things the negative reviewers talked about, because it had me doubting whether I wanted this pillow, and I am SO glad I bought it anyways! THE SEAM: Yeah, there is a seam at the top, and it is pretty stiff. BUT, it's only stiff if you pull either side of the pillow taut. So long as you keep the long sides of the pillow, that should go down the sides of your body, not pulled down so tight, you don't feel the seams. Now, I think the people who do feel the seams are either 1) too tall for the pillow (I'm 5'4", and I can wrap my arms and legs around the bottom parts and have my neck not even touch the seam)or 2) not naturally side-sleepers. If you don't naturally sleep on your side, I think you just do it wrong, which can make this pillow very uncomfortable for you. STUFFING: I read a lot of complaints that the head part was stuffed too fully and was too high up for them. I really think those people must not be side-sleepers, because my pillow is not stuffed ENOUGH at the head part! I have a small receiving blanket that I put under my head to give me more lift while I sleep. WEIGHT: I also read someone complaining that the pillow was too heavy??? The whole pillow itself weighs 7 lbs. That's how much a newborn baby weighs, and this weight is distributed over a very large surface! When I am on my side, the arm that is against the bed goes under this pillow so that I am hugging it. My arm has not once fallen asleep because of the "weight" of the pillow. Again, I think this has to do with people not being natural side-sleepers. When you always sleep on your side (not just during the times that you are pregnant) you learn where and how to position your arms so they don't lose circulation. SIZE: Yes, if you sleep in a queen sized bed, this pillow will definitely be the only other object that can fit in it besides yourself! My husband and I have a king sized bed, and our headboard has a decoration exactly in the center that shows us where the middle of the bed is. My pillow covers my entire half of the bed, and 1 inch into his side. He has plenty of room to sleep, but again, we have a king. MANEUVERABILITY: Remember, I am used to having to turn over and over again all night long. This pillow stays put exactly where it needs to be, and I am able to roll over to my other side when I feel the need to. I don't know why some women are saying they have to fight to roll over with this pillow. It really doesn't move, and once I've rolled over, it's like the pillow just hugs me right back into place. All in all, I adore this pillow and I think its perfect. It also has excellent flexibility, so if I want to sit up to read or watch TV, I can bend it into all sorts of comfortable shapes and positions! When I'm done, it just bounces right back into its original shape for me to go to sleep! Definitely one of the best purchases I've ever made!

Hot and itchy
I really wanted to like this pregnancy pillow. I saw the good reviews and thought this might be a good replacement for the other pregnancy pillow I bought for my first pregnancy. However, I absolutely hate it. It's just become a pillow I use to prop up my legs when they start swelling. It's terribly itchy, and I've washed it (with so much fabric softener) a good number of times. But it's still itchy and rough. It traps heat like crazy. I wake up multiple times a night feeling warm, stuffy (and itchy) every single time. I missed the return period on these, else I would have returned it.

Great pillow for hip and pelvic pain related to pregnancy
Purchased for myself during my 6th month of pregnancy due to ongoing hip and pelvic pain. Pros -Full, there is no point where you press down into a hard surface - everything is held up by filling. - after 3 nights of sleep, it has held its shape completely. - size for me works well. I am 5'7, and currently 170lbs and sleep with my 6'5 spouse in a queen bed without overcrowding him. Cons - the pillow cover is rough, and hard against my poor fragile hair and skin (sensitive). - price point, more expensive than many of the other similar products on Amazon. - cost for a replacement pillow case is high (around $50/ Can at time of writing).

Good Support for Belly and Back
Pros: -The main advantage is that it is a huge pillow that gives a wrap around effect and maintains back/belly well -We have a Queen bed and my husband still fits in comfortably beside me -It can be wrapped around the belly to support my arms and I am totally going to use it while baby feeding -Very cozy to sleep with -My dog likes the pillow too - if a side of it falls on the floor overnight, the dog sleeps on top Cons: -I had it for a few weeks and the pillow had some light smell. It does go away when I air It out before the open window before going to bed for 5-10 minutes -It's not a comfortable pillow to sleep on with your head, so I put it upside down - the "head" section goes down under my feet and I just use my regular pillow for head.

Fibromyalgia
I've only had the pillow for 2 days, but I love it. However as several people have mentioned the pillow portion is too thick so I've had to turn it upside down, and use my own pillow. I've definitely slept better with this pillow. My problem is that I'm trying to buy a pillow case to go over the pillow. However, Amazon, doesn't give the Leach Brand Name of the pillow or sell the pillowcase. Other sites request the "name" of pillow, i.e. "Chic" or other. because there are different shapes and sizes.
