Good for knee replacement therapy
I ordered the Sunny pedal exerciser SF-B0891 after reviewing many pedalers, and returning a recumbent bike as too many pieces to put together. After watching the video on the bottom of the order page by Anthony Maritato, physical therapist, I decided to take a chance on this pedaler as he described ways to use the machine recovering from knee replacment surgery. It should have been easier to put together, but my left pedal bolt was on too tight to unscrew so it took a huge amount of effort and several tools to get it off. You can put together yourself but keep in mind it takes some strength to tighened the pedals. Also, the instructions show the straps of the pedals being white ones on top of the pedal straight across; the ones in my box are like the ones pictured above - a black strap going diagonal across and I wasn't sure if the thick part goes inside or outside - not a big deal I guess but I wanted it to be correct. The machine is quiet which I appreciate and weighs 20 lbs so movable. I like when I pedal - the machine does not move around on laminate floors like others I have used. The tension works for me, but for anyone that wants a real workout it's not sufficient, the highest setting like a #3 or 4 on other machines. I wear a size 9 1/2 shoe and I must keep my feet straight or my heel can touch the floor. I appreciated the price at $103 and the quick 2 day delivey, and have high hopes it will help me with my movement especially on days to hot/cold to walk. Good luck to you and thank you Sunny.

Went from 5 stars to 2 stars after nearly 1 year of consistent use
3/29/18 update: Went from 5 stars to 2 stars after nearly 1 year.. -1 star for the following: after almost 1 year of constant use in a corporate desk job setting, one of the pedals (right side) started giving out. Found out that the threads on the pedal attached to the frame are getting stripped since I saw a bunch of shiny dust on the floor that came from this. This is due to normal wear and tear. I have been using the other brand $150 DeskCycle for about the same amount of time at home. That one is still working well just like brand new. -1 star: Wrote to the vendor inquiring about warranty. The product falls under a 1 year warranty for the frame according to the PDF linked in the Amazon listing description, so naturally, mine would be up in June. Read the terms. Got the typical "we have a high volume of calls" automated response. Apparently my issue falls under their "within 90 days" purchase category. They emailed me back within a day stating that I have to pay $15 to get a replacement pedal part. The issue isn't the pedal part that you have to screw in, but the actual screw thread part that is on the frame. -1 star for the following: After a year of use and getting adjusted between the DeskCycle and this, I realize that the major difference is the height at which you are cycling at. This does not have that much of a clearance with your knees hitting your desk and as a short small person, I still keep hitting my knees on the desk and setting my chair really far back (about 2 feet away from my cycle) and strapped to the cycle. I have to adjust this literally EVERY day I come into work to feel decently comfortable. This being said, I went from a 5 star rating to a 2 star rating. Get the more expensive $150 deskcycle bike. It's much more worth it in the long run. ------------------------------------ Originally written June 2017: I was not sponsored for this review, I bought these for my own good because I now have no excuses for not moving. I purchased the DeskCycle and this bike. When I did a search for "desk cycle" the DeskCycle and this were the first two that came up. I did some extensive research to see if this was worth getting instead of a walking treadmill desk. The price difference between a walking treadmill desk and an under desk bike is HUGE and each setup has its own pros and cons... but if you don't have that big of a budget to afford a treadmill desk to work out while on the computer... the under desk cycle is great! Background: I use the DeskCycle for home ( I spend lots of time on the computer after work, I'm also a PC gamer!), and the Sunny Exercise Bike at work (I work full time). Things to consider: If this is your first time setting up a bike under your desk, it is NORMAL to have to make desk/chair adjustments because you need to make sure you have a comfortable and ergonomic setup or your back can get strained over long periods of time. My dimensions: I'm 5 feet 1". I compared using this against my 6' husband and he didn't seem to like it. He's picky about his desk setup and with his stagnant and stationary setup he likes the way his desk is currently setup. With the under desk bike he would have to make major adjustments and raise the desk because his knees kept on hitting the desk. I could imagine taller people than me would have this issue but it is NORMAL to make desk adjustments if possible to accommodate for this desk bike device. DeskCycle Pros: - Very quiet - Easy and quick to assemble (it took me less than 30 minutes) - Well packaged out of the box - Sturdy pedal straps, Straps are permanently attached to the pedal and are adjusted via velcro - LCD monitor is removable and can be extended to be placed on top of a desk for display - When setup properly my knees don't hit the desk - You can and will break a sweat while using this, at least I did (resistance set to 2 and I'm at "20"+mph? if I'm reading this correctly) - No weird pungent factory smell (see below) out of the box Cons: - When first using the bike I found it difficult to concentrate on whatever I was doing on the computer, but after a day or two of constant use you get used to it - No handle for easy transportation if needed - Not really sure what the LCD units of measurement are, it's not super clear Sunny Mini Exercise Bike (cheaper than the DeskCycle) Pros: - has a handle for easy transportation - Pretty much what I mentioned about the DeskCycle with some minor differences - Easy setup, less than 30 mins out of the box - Very quiet, my coworkers sitting next to me don't even notice nor hear a thing when I start pedaling Cons: - It smells like hardcore factory smell out of the box. Similar to walking into Harbor Freight. - LCD screen is not removable - The pedal straps don't look as sturdy as the DeskCycle straps. They can detach from the pedal and over time it can rip from overuse. It's a rubbery material. Straps adjust similar to putting a watch tab in different holes. Differences: - Sunny Exercise Bike pedals are slightly higher off the ground than the DeskCycle - Sunny's LCD screen is not removable, you only display it from the front. (DeskCycle default is from the back) - DeskCycle includes a long velcro strap to tether your rolling chair to the bike, Sunny does not - Sunny has a handle for transportation, DeskCycle does not - My observation between the two.... the DeskCycle has a more rigid construction than the Sunny Bike. DeskCycle has more comprehensive instructions than the Sunny Bike does. Similarities: - With either one you still need to set up your desk/chair as ergonomically as possible - Both of these force you to sit up straight - You should take a break after a long period of cycling nonstop every once in a while unless you want some slight lower back pain and sweat at work - The measurements between the two appear to be very close to each other when looking at the LCD screen using the same resistance and energy force on your legs - With a good diet and using this, you will lose weight. So far I have in 1 week, maybe about a 1lb or two. Results will vary. Conclusion: This all being said and considered, the price difference is quite big and it all comes down to personal preference to which device you'd rather get. To achieve the same goal of fitness and maybe weight loss, both devices pretty much do the same thing with the same important main features. If you're on a super budget, I'd get the Sunny Bike. If you want something that's a little seemingly sturdier with extra features (i.e. removable LCD screen), then get the DeskCycle. If you want a home/work setup, heck, get two of these Sunny Bikes. Extra bonus stuff for fun: - I strapped a Fitbit watchFitbit Blaze Smart Fitness Watch, Plum, Silver, Small (US Version) to my left foot and it still measures steps while using these two desk bikes.... I left it on and it registers as either walk or elliptical when looking at my Fitbit dashboard!

Worth purchasing over a regular stationary bike.
Pros: *Light enough to carry around yet sturdy enough not to worry about damage *Tight package that's aesthetically pleasing to leave in a room so you don't have to hide in storage if you don't want to * Very quiet so it can be used around other people *Uses triple A's for calorie loss indicator and time used * You can use your own seating to make things a little more comfortable(versus the flimsy stationary bike seat) *Easier to use for multitasking *Pedals are soft/hard material that's nice on feet without shoes Cons: None actually. I'm really pleased with this bike. More than the stationary bike I bought from the same company.

Excellent
This product was easy to set up. It purrs like a kitten hardly any noise. I’ve had it 2 days and I love it. An alternative method for exercise during the colder months and also to strengthen up the knee muscles.

sturdy, compact, easy to assemble, low tech, and reasonably affordable
Bought to use for hyper 8-year-old during pandemic schooling at home. It has been great! He likes it and I use it while working at home too. It fits under the kitchen table and doesn't make so much noise, or take so much effort that you couldn't use it while in a Zoom meeting. I read a ton of reviews on these because I wanted one that would be durable, but not too expensive. This one is medium price-point but seems sturdier than others I have seen. The resistance is set with magnets and "8" ( the highest resistance) is a bit too easy to much of a workout for me, but for a child, "4" is a good setting. It has been good so far, and my son spontaneously uses it throughout the day for little breaks to blow off steam. You can sit comfortably in a chair and peddle this while you watch TV and it's at least something better than just sitting. I don't think I'd buy this as a primary work out method (doesn't replace an exercise bike) but we don't have room for anything else bigger. We are very happy with it and would recommend. It came with tools to assemble and took only 10 minutes max as already mostly put together.

Convenient, economical, and effective plus outstanding product service
When my knee developed mild arthritis and bursitis, I thought I would have to stop much of my exercising. I could still walk fairly pain-free, but the elliptical made things worse. This bike gives me a good workout without stressing my knees and is so quiet I can use it anywhere while I watch TV. Additional review after four months of using the product. The bike continues to be effective and amazingly convenient. My daughter bought one on my recommendation. It briefly developed a minor noise while I was using it, and the manufacturer's customer service department made useful suggestions and then followed up a couple months later to be sure I was still happy with their product. Excellent service. In my case, the noise was eliminated by oiling the main bearing.

Perfect, does the job perfectly.
Well made, solid construction yet very easy to move and carry. Does not slip when used like other models. Cannot fault it. Comfortable and easy to use from my armchair.
