Great Travel Mug with Ceramic Interior
I used the 18 ounce version of this cup for a couple of years and I really liked its utility. The screw-down lid is spill-proof if you don't overfill the cup. The lid lock feature is the best I have ever seen in a travel mug and I have owned and used literally dozens of travel mugs. I use a shared Keurig machine at work and my 18 ounce Kyocera mug did not fit underneath the Keurig dispenser. It was necessary to use a smaller mug to receive the pour and then transfer it into my 18 ounce mug. That's why I searched for a smaller version of the Kyocera mug. I was delighted to find this 12 ounce version of the ceramic coated Kyocera travel mug. The ceramic coating protects the taste of the coffee and aids heat retention. I consider this travel mug the best of the best and this is the one I carry with me each day. When I travel on long car trips, I load up both mugs and carry both of them in the car. Highly recommended.

Amazing
I dont leave many reviews, but I've been so impressed with this mug I felt it deserved it. - I'm shocked at how warm it keeps my coffee. (When I first got it I was burning my mouth A LOT because I was expecting it to have cooled already.) - I was skeptical because of the way the lid appeared in the pictures. I dont love having to open and close the lid when I take a sip, and the click of closing it probably annoys my neighbors at work, but I am sold on this design. Heat retention is amazing and I've never had a problem with leaking. (I've over filled it and got leaks, but I dont consider that a design flaw.) - I'm allergic to Nickel and Cobalt and wanted a cup that doesnt keep my coffee soakign in metal, the ceramic lining has held up flawlessly in the 4 months I've had it. -I am religious about my coffee mugs and I'm not sure I'll ever buy an alternative.

Design flaw
Keeps hot for hours! But the design flaw is in the mouth opening. The cap hit your nose and it makes you frink at an angle.

The "sipping tip" will burn your lips
Primary usage: Keep my coffee hot for a few hours and don't mess around with the flavor. Keeping things really hot for a few hours - pass. No flavoring the coffee - pass. Good looks - pass. Lightweight - pass. Leak - make sure you twist it tight. It needs to be tight and it doesn't leak. I wouldn't carry this thing in my bag horizontal - I haven't tested that case but I just don't trust these flip open tops. Problems: - That sipping top tip is wrong. The opening is elevated from the sides (leak proofing) which means you have to tilt the container quite a bit before the coffee starts pouring and when it pours, oh brother, it pours. It's impossible to sip anything with this tip. It simply burns your lips. I don't sip from this. I use it like a thermos, and pour into my little cup just the amount of coffee that I am going to drink (so that it doesn't get cold) so I don't care about the sipping problem. However, that tip is not designed for pouring either. When you try to pour, the liquid hangs on to the sides and starts traveling down the lid and the container. It's not fun to pour from this thing - I keep a napkin under my coffee shot cup :-D Would I buy it again? Yeap. Do I recommend it? Yeap. For the price the quality is top notch and it has some design issues. What doesn't? At least I didn't get burned by the price. Now, let's hope that they sell another top that's more pouring friendly...

Keeps my coffee super hot for hours!
I chose this mug based on another awesome reviewer who compared temps of beverages in different tumblers over several hours. The volume was more than some others but the price made me a little reluctant. However, it is worth every penny! It is perfect for work where I can only run in and grab a few sips throughout the morning. It will still be warm 16 hours later! The lock on the lid is great. Just remember "open: up" and "close: down". I can throw it in a bag and not worry about it spilling. Completely leak proof. The only thing I don't like is I have the black version and the inside is black too which makes it hard to see how full it is before I add cream (or Baileys). I wish it was a white ceramic on the inside. Such a minor complaint but I had to provide something negative, right? Buy this mug-- you will love it.

Perfect size and leakproof!
I have tried many mugs for my coffee and this one is it! It’s a smaller size, leakproof, and keeps my coffee hot for hours. The lid is a little tricky when drinking, but overall a good purchase!

Tied for 1st out of 4 tested, but it's the most expensive
Compared Macaron Lock & Lock to Contigo Twistseal 16oz, Kyocera 17 oz, and Funkrin 16oz. Over the course of a few hours, the Macaron held temperature equally well as the Kyocera, and seems to be essentially made the same, and these performed better than Contigo and Funkrin. Funkrin has a thumb-flip lid that closes well, but didn't hold the temp as well as others. Contigo maintained temp a little better than Funkrin, but the lid seems a little complex for my taste. It took some practice to remove the twist cover for washing. Summary: starting out at 200 degrees, after 20", Funkrin was at 187, Contigo 185, Macaron 194, and Kyocera 195. After 2'15", they were at 142, 155, 178 and 178. For the price and fun look, $11 Macaron seems to be best value, at least for now. Time will tell if it holds up as well as the $30 Kyocera. On more important detail: they all pour equally well into a demitasse cup (my preferred way to drink), no dribbling messes, yay!

Great quality
It match all my expectations. Keep hot or cool for hours. Only caveat is the black ceramic coating inside. Can't see well upon cleaning, maybe it designed this way to avoid us scratching it too hard

Ceramic is the ONLY way to go
You will love the ceramic innards that are simple to clean and do not stain or retain any odor. The snap lid is easy to use and the container can be filled almost to the top and the lid will still screw on without any leakage. Awesome product!

Perfect for untainted tea on the go
I’m a big tea lover and following a few stints with metal lined flasks the slightly tainted taste to my posh loose leaf really wasn’t... well, my cup of tea. I researched ceramic lined options with a good travel lid pretty hard and options are pretty limited here in the UK, so looked further afield and found this one. I was almost put off by the reviews stating the lid was terrible and I’m glad I wasn’t, sure it isn’t perfect but far from 1 star! This is a fantastic flask and has served me well in the few months of owning it so far, both in the car and my backpack while hiking/splitboarding. Tea has still been hot 4-5hrs after the brew, the ceramic lining does it’s job well regarding taste and the flask itself has held up well to bring thrown about (couple of scratches as expected). Cleaning to the bottom might involve a sponge pushed in with a spoon, but that’s no hardship. The lid cleans well and the spring seems robust enough. Highly recommended and worth the import tax if you’re outside the USA, I’m still yet to find something here in Europe of equivalent quality.

Overall very good
Only dislikes so far is that the lock latch is kinda in the way for drinking, it rests on your lower lip. Great size, not bulky, fits in the hand neatly. Good price.

way too expensive
the price has gone up from £27 to over £42 not worth the money in the slightest, made my coffee taste odd, unable to recommend this item, there are far better and cheaper travel mugs available, don't be ripped off.
