Solid option for lock
It‘a nothing fancy or complicated. Straps your lock to your bike and is adequately secure.

Perfect For Me
The bike mount the u-locks come with didn't work with my bike size and frame shape. I finally looked around for an alternative and I was happy to see the company fixed it's own problem. My bike lock is secure and easy enough to use.

Good, but I wish all Kryptonite standard brackets were this good.
I have installed the Kryptonite handlebar lock holder on the entire bicycle "fleet," five holders so far. I've had only one that worked itself loose, and it was easy enough to fix. I think the best aspect of the Transit H-Bar is the ready visibility and accessibility of your lock. No more accidentally biking away without your lock. I am holding back a star because I've had to purchase these lock holders to replace the extremely flimsy bracket holder that comes with the Kryptolock resettable combination U-lock. It doesn't seem exactly fair that you pay a premium for Kryptonite's U-lock only to be given a bracket that guarantees it will fall into the street, at best delaying your trip and at worst being totally lost forever, so then you pay a separate premium for a holder that actually works. I've noticed the other members of Kryptonite's U-lock family come with significantly better brackets so it's not as if they couldn't have designed one for the combo. I'd hold back a star anyway as the instructions are a bit obtuse and written in very small print. I noticed too that whatever factory in China makes these, they use a very cheap, easily stripped hex nut and hex wrench. Also, they consistently put the hex nut in the wrong way in the package. The bolt is plainly supposed to slip into the hex shaped recess, but five different times the package comes with that assembled backwards, leading to the possibility that that error will be perpetuated by the end user.

It can be a little awkward to put the lock and chain around
... but it is manageable with practice, and it is worth learning because the handlebars are a great spot to put my lock. Another thing to note is that the mount should be installed as far to the center of the handlebar as possible, at least if your bike is like mine where the handlebar gets narrower the further out you go. I had mine slip and had to relocate a reflector so I could fit this on.

Not a good fit for Fahgettaboudit Mini
I just received this for my New York Fahgettaboudit Mini, but the lock only barely fits. The velcro strap is not long enough and only has about 1/4" inch of velcro to use after wrapping around the lock head. There's no way to extend the strap. Furthermore the cradle seems intended for smaller-diameter lock heads. Even if you smoosh the lock head into the cradle there's still a gap.

Excellent lock carrier even for other brands of locks
I don't love writing reviews but as I come back to buy another one of these lock carriers for my wife, I see so many negative reviews. I use this with my OnGuard Brute lock which is quite heavy and I've been using this carrier daily everywhere I ride in Chicago. Admittedly, I will agree that the Velcro straps aren't the best, but unless you are ripping at them with a knife or sawing at them with your keys, I don't see how people claim that they are failing so quickly It takes less than 5 seconds to remove the lock from the carrier.......and maybe 5-10 seconds to put it back in after unlocking my bike. I only actually only undo the Velcro that secures the body of the u-bar lock and just slide the lock through the other one. Overall, this is leaps and bounds better than the frame mounted lock carriers that I have tried to use. The only con that I can really think of is that I wish that the connection point to the handlebar was a bit more heavy duty. With just one screw attaching this to the bar, I wish they would have "over engineered" this a little more. Ease of use - 5 stars Durability - 4 stars

Great carrier, cheap Velcro straps
I purchased this carrier to hold the Kryptonite Fahgettaboudit lock on my commuter. The carrier itself seems well made, and a great design. I was initially concerned about the position on the handle bars and the weight of the lock on the bars. My concerns were unfounded, after two days it's clear that the carrier works well and on the bars is a perfect location. However, the Velcro straps are made of the cheapest, thinnest, most worthless plastic available in the known universe. One of the straps broke the FIRST DAY I USED THEM!!! Unbelievable! They must not have done any product testing with those straps. My commute is only 11 miles round-trip. Given the high quality of the lock and the carrier, the use of the straps dumbfounds me!! As luck would have it I had some extra Velcro straps that were high quality that I could use instead, otherwise I would be returning the product. I may still call the company to complain and see about replacement straps. But if all they will do is send the same straps then it won't be worth the effort. If it weren't for the straps I would have rated the carrier five stars.

Holds the Kryptonite New York Fahgettaboudit Mini U-Lock perfectly
The Kryptonite New York Fahgettaboudit Mini U-Lock is about the same weight as my actual bike so I needed an option to avoid putting it in my bag. This bracket mounts around the handlebars and holds the lock well. It wasn't super easy to attach (not exactly rocket science, just a bit fiddly and the instructions are in type 6 font or something so hard to read). It took me longer than expected but now it's attached it appears to be solid. Pretty happy with it although the lock itself adds a lot of weight to the front of the bike. Not the fault of the bracket obviously.

velcro snaps - not fit for purpose
I had to replace the Velcro on the larger part when fitting as it wouldn't even fit round the lock it is designed for (fahgettaboudit mini). The other piece of Velco snapped after a few days - maybe 7 miles cycling. I don't keep boxes / return papers as rarely have time to get to a post office. Do not buy - waste of money and time.

Quite Good - some room for improvement
When fitted will work well and hold lock in place steadily and is very worthwhile. Two points. One: The velcro strap for the smaller side of the lock split in two the other day while pulling it to fasten it around lock - mine may have been a dud one, but it should be stronger. They should test how strongly they glue/attach together the "hook" and "sticky" sections of the velcro. Two: The handlebar on my particular bike has "oversize" written on it. With this holder, it's designed to go around narrower handle bars so the piece of rubber provided to wrap around handlebar and provide grip for the holder to tighen on to was too thick. I rectified this by simply using an old piece of thinner rubber from an old bike inner tube instead. That side, when it worked it worked very well. I'll be on to them for replacement velcro straps, and also having separately purchased the lock for £60, I thought having to spend another £12 or so for this was a bit overpriced.

Overpriced for what it is and velcro was missing.
For the price, it's terrible value for money. I mean, it does work, but it's essentially a piece of plastic and two velcro straps for 20+ GBP. Even though it's three pieces, our orders shipped with only one piece of velcro when two is clearly required. The shorter piece of velcro was missing so we're only able to secure it on the top end and not the bottom. I have considered returning it, but it's such a hassle for the sake of one piece of velcro so I'm having to find solutions/fashion together a piece of velcro to mimic the original myself. Such a pain that to obtain a missing piece you have to return the entire product.

Struggled to find anywhere suitable to mount my lock and didn't like having to carry a rucksack with me everytime I went anywhere on my bike when I knew I would need to be able to lock it up. As many people have said before, the original general mounting supplied with the lock just isn't up to the job. Looked long and hard before deciding to give this a go despite several mixed reviews. I cycle up to 20 miles a day on my commute and I have to say, I'm genuinely impressed. I't mounted towards the centre of my handlebars and doesn't affect handling in any way. I'ts secure and fitting and removing the lock to it is straighforward with the two velcro straps. When I first used it I have to admit, there was an annoying noise of the D Lock rattling around in the lock itself but that hasn't anything to do with the mount. A couple of small pieces of garden hosed slipped over the ends of the D lock to take up the play and there you have it. A silent, secure method of mounting your lock. Thoroughly recommend it andwould definitely buy another if needed!

Does what it says on the tin
I like this bracket. If the handlebar is thin, though, you have to use all the padding material and in addition I used a couple layers of black electrical insulation tape - first on the bar and then when I wrapped the padding. Then tightened the screw and bracket is fixed firmly in place. Because it is a Brompton I also had to saw off the tip of the screw so that it does not rub against front fork when folded. Very happy with the bracket.
