Very Confusing

These are called "placemats" in the web write-up, but the purpose of a placemat is to protect the tablecloth from incidental spills (like of spaghetti sauce) around and near each place setting (fork, knife, spoon and plate and sometimes glasses). These are a large-opening mesh material, and a spill will go right through them, so no saving of the tablecloth would be possible. A "charger" is typically designed to protect a tablecloth from Temperature damage from a hot plate being placed upon it, similar to a trivet being used when hot pots and containers are placed on the table. Chargers (and trivets) are usually large enough for ONY a plate or pot. These are large enough to be placemats (silver, plate and glasses will all fit on them), and they WILL protect the tablecloth from HEAT damage (they appear to be a good silicone material), but not from spill damage. So I am totally confused by what I have in my hand. I LIKE the look of the "completed circle" look of the wedge-shaped pieces with 6 of them side-by-side on a round (60-inch) table, and would probably use them as intended by the website - as placemats. But I will NOT be expecting them to do the impossible -- they'll be for looks only, and to demarcate the place to sit, but not for tablecloth protection. The material is easily washed off, the gray color will hide minor spills, and they are big enough for a full place serving of silver, plate and glass. If they were solid enough to protect the tablecloth from spills, I'd be happy to give them 5-stars, but since they fail at the primary reason for having them, I've got to knock off a star, so we'll call it a 4-star product -- and make special note that they DO look good!

Fits a circle table perfectly

I love the design as they are perfect for a round table. Don’t expect much protection though as they have holes throughout, much like shelf liner. Unlike shelf liners these move around a bit. I like them for our outdoor patio table which is glass. We don’t need much protection for it and I like the look of it.

For those with small round tables

These placemats are decent, functional placemats: they are not items of particular beauty, but they're acceptable and their coloration is uniform. They're not phenomenal protection for a table given the mesh pattern throughout the mat - they'll keep some crumbs and hold some parts of sauces/condiments that spill, but things will still wind up on the table. The mats themselves are quite easy to clean, as opposed to cloth mats that one has to run through the washing machine. The primary benefit of these mats is that they will be less likely to make eating with placemats awkward when the table is a small round dining table. Rectangular mats can overlap and make dining a little too close for comfort, and these mats solve that problem.

Basic but Functional

These look like the rubberized sheets used to line drawers or keep plates from slipping on the RV shelf. Nothing special about the look but they are cut correctly and fit around my round table nicely. They are not as rubbery as the rubber shelf liner stuff so they so slip a bit. For the price, however, they are a good bet especially for a round table.

The color selection is fabulous.

I have a table that seats 4 people, but I can squeeze in 5 -- and these fit nicely! I like the spice orange to go with my salmon deck furniture cushions. I have reordered after two years because they do fade if left out in the sun, such as when I put them under a glass table top to add some color. But I couldn't be happier because they are no slip, they don't wrinkle, they are easy to clean, and what you are looking for in these is COLOR, and COLOR CHANGES for different dishes, and the wonderful wedge shape to enhance your round table! I didn't realize they are made of jute -- it seems like they must be coated with some kind of vinyl or rubber. The edges do not fray! A fabulous product. THANK YOU, KRAFTWARE!

Nice place mats

I’ve always used square place mats that didn’t fit great on my round table. These mats fit perfectly on my round table. The holes in these mats are a little big so crumbs and liquid will go right through. They’re good for placing and moving plates and bowls around without damaging the table.

Solid product

These placemats are solid for a round dining table. They looked just as they appeared (FYI, they are not solid and made of a webbed material, if you spill liquid it will leak through), were lightweight and easy to wipe off and clean. They were not complex and relatively simply shaped and made. Overall, I would recommend these.

Good quality place mats
