Super cute and original

I a, from France and I like to add a little touch of French in my home in the states. I thought the fabric was different and original. I bought them for my coffee table and they do look adorable. The only thing is because of the fabric there is absolutely no grip to it , so when my cats jump on it everything goes flying. Speaking of cats, they absolutely love them!!!! When I first put them on you would think they were made out of catnip!! They were rolling around on them and fought each other to sleep on them. The reason I am giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the writing.... Provence is nowhere near Paris, Rennes or Rouen, so when I have French friends coming over everyone is always wondering WTF?! Other than tat super cute and original.

Cute and protect my table!

Given these are burlap, they are slightly see-through and the fabric is scratchy, of course. With that said, I love the French touch and it's thick enough to protect my wood table. The fabric does shed a bit, but I bought these to match the same table runner. I only put the placemats on when we are eating, so I haven't used these as much, but my table runner no longer sheds. I expect that will be the same. I haven't ironed these yet, but the table runner ironed fairly easily on low heat.

Great placemats

I really love these placemats! I always get compliments on them. Well made and fairly easy to clean. The only reason I am not giving them 5 stars is because there is a definite smell. Actually, they stink. If you could air them out they would be great but I just spray air freshener on them when I remember.

Beautiful design/authentic look

Beautiful design/authentic look. Definitely satisfied customer. Bit of a smell, and a little see through, big placemats compared to our smaller table. Also can tell they will Be hard to clean but worth it for the look

French Country Fabulous

In love with these burlap placemats! They complete any french country or farmhouse theme. They were creased/wrinkled when opened but a quick press with the iron and they were beautifully flat. It's hard to tell from the pictures, but the lettering is a deep grey. I was expecting a blue-ish color but still more than happy with the look.

They are a very nice design but very thin to use to protect a surface. They did work great over a solid color placemat to add more durability. They are neutral in color and blend in with any style.

Best placemats!

We renovated our kitchen and are going for a light french cottage color and atmospheric theme and these burlap placemats are perfect! Definitely recommend. The material is real burlap but it isn't scratchy on your arms or hands.

Too much work

I really love the look of these but trying to get them clean is impossible. As soon as something gets spilled on it you have to scrub quickly. I put one in the was...not good!
