The hole to place the pads is a little off, i placed them with a zip tie and its working ok, but its just an emergency, i have to modify them, so this is the last pair i order.

New models work with all Guide calipers!

Update: Kool Stop has begun modifying their pads to fit the most modern Guide brakes. The new boxes have the same part number but a sticker with "Works with Guide Ultimate" on it. If you get a set without that sticker, send them back and ask for new ones. New ones fit perfectly without modification. If you have the old ones and can't return...read the rest of the original review Original review: As others mention (and Kool Stop documents), the pads do not fit the newer S4 calipers. To make them fit you must grind 3/16" from the heatsink. This will remove a couple of the pins. DO NOT DRILL OUT THE HOLE. The hole is there for the pad to slide back and forth on and keep them located correctly. If you drill out the hole, yes, it will fit in the caliper, but the pads will now rub on the caliper body. First, that positions the pads in the wrong place, and more importantly the pads don't move freely or straight. That means drag and generally poorly performing brakes. That being said, they are OK pads. They are organic. Swissstop Exotherm seem to be metallic but they were recalled. Waiting for Exotherm2 pads to be available to try. Original exotherm pads have been my preferred pads for Guide brakes.

Don't fit SRAM Guide Ultimate brakes

These do not fit SRAM Guide Ultimate brakes...the hole for he screw to keep the pad in is offset by about 2 mm. I drilled them out and they seem to work now. But what a hack.

LOOK GREAT.

These LOOK awesome. But on Sram Guide R brakes the bolt hole doesn't line up. I had to make the hole bigger with a drill. They are also Really Loud in wet moist conditions.

Koolstop website currently states: **DOES NOT FIT GUIDE ULTIMATE OR ANY 2017 GUIDE MODELS.** Fits pre 2017 Guide R/RS/RSC They do not fit 2016 guide R; They have the same issue as the post talking about the guide ultimate. Due to time constraints, and this being the second set of pads ordered from koolstop, I drilled the holes out larger and took them for a test ride, 2 minutes in I had brake fade and couldn't lock up my rear brake due to the pads dragging the rotors from the poor fit. From my experience and the other 2 reviews, I would avoid these for any SRAM guide until koolstop corrects the years/models they fit.

Inconsistent Fit and Quality

Ordered two sets. One fit perfectly the other didn’t line up properly and wouldn’t install. I went with DT Swiss and I’m much happier with my Guide RS performance.
