Nice Solid Wood; Soft Closes (for now)
Our 20 year old round enameled wood seat had seen better days, and was in our guest room's bathroom, so we needed a new one. Local big box stores only had plastic seats. This looked like the right thing, and it is the right thing. It is sturdy and the enameling is smooth and solid. The fact that the lid has to be pushed down to close is a bonus; the old one would just fall with a clatter if not lowered gently. It fits our toilet just fine, and is super easy to attach. The only issue is that after I got the seat positioned just right I tightened the bolts, thought all was good, but it's slewing a bit to one side after a week or so of use. It remains to be seen if this is an ongoing problem or if I can get it fastened more securely.

Solid, heavy, short 1 important feature
Does it work? Yes. Would I buy it again? No. There are 2 features that absolutely every single toilet seat made for a home should have and in this order. 1st, soft-close, slow close. No slamming seat sounds are necessary, ever! 2nd, quick release mounts so that you can clean the nasty under the hinges. I like it. I'm keeping it. It's my fault for not re-reading. I was reading reviews for so many different seats and I thought this had both when I ordered. Now, when it's time to clean around the hinges I'll be undoing the screws, painful operation on the Toto bowl that has the shrouded frame.

Love the quiet close
These toilet seats work exactly as described. No more fighting over closing the lid! Just give it a little tap in the direction of closing it and it closes - going down on its own. I have one toilet that is positioned in a way that made it difficult for the lid or seat to stay open without holding it. The soft, close hinges on this allows the seat to stay up without falling. A great added benefit.

Did not come with any mounting hardware.
There was no mounting hardware in the box. Now I'll have to go to the hardware store to buy an extra part. If I had known this I would have just bought the seat there while I was at it... I see reviews that mention that they did get the hardware and some that say they didn't.. dont know if it's just that bad of quality control or if the round doesn't and the elongated does? Either way they should all come with them, not have it be a crap shoot to find out if you can use the thing out of the box or not.

Good quality, would buy again
I went through a couple different toilet seats in the same price range & they were terrible- loosening frequently, seat shifting & breaking. I was looking for a seat with metal hardware & thought from the pics that this seat had metal hardware. It does not, however it has not loosened ever in the months since initially installing it. Comfortable - no sharp seams or edges. Good quality, would buy again.

Great toilet seat, but missing one listed feature…
I just received this toilet seat and installed it. I have mostly good things to say, I will have one negative comment… The seat is solid and seems well built. Installation was easy. It arrived in perfect condition. It feels nice and solid and has a nice weight to it. It is a simple handsome design. The soft slow closing mechanism works well. I have only one negative comment, and that is that this listing indicated that this is an easy to clean model, specifically that it had the quick easy release hinges, like my prior seat had, so that you should be able to unsnap the seat from the toilet to clean around the bottom with the toilet seat completely removed. The box that this arrived in indicated all of its features and does not mention that feature, even though this listing does say that that feature is present. Now that I have installed the toilet seat, it is clear that that feature is not included in this model. Instead of it being that easy, one would need to spend a solid five minutes with a screwdriver removing the seat if one wanted to, and instead the seat will just not be as easy to clean, as it is not reasonable to remove the screws each time the toilet is cleaned. The toilet seat is otherwise a five-star product, but I am deducting one star for the lack of this feature which was listed as being included in this product listing. I hope information is helpful.

Substantial seat
I bought this to replace a plastic one that let sliding to one side. The toilet was placed in between a wall and the tub. So it was difficult to sit straight on. After going thru a couple of the plastic ones, my husband insisted on a better seat. This one has been in service for 2 months now and we have had no problems. Happy to have found it!

Well made, but a very slow close
A good product, but as others have said, it really does take an age to close compared to any such items I've had before. Importantly it has remained fixed and not moved around.

Koehler wooden Toilet seat is awesome
Looked for beige toilet seats forever until i found this one. Almost identical colour to the porcelain. Very easy to clean and very easy to install. Does not slip when trying to get up from a sitting position or sideways for that matter. Lid is very solid for an extra seat. Would definitely recommend this product :-)

Had an issue with it deilvered to the wrong door then a theift ( yes someone stole my toilet seat just before the new year lol) Snice cops got invoild i got a refund and an extra toilet seat, they were very understanding, it a good seat just wish there was a picture of it on a toilet to know what it would look like or more details. (Note to those who buy: it longer then most toilet bowl made for bigger female or bigger males making it easyer to wipe, if your skinner it feel kinda werid haveing a lil spot in front you don't need... guess it would also help with sloppy peeing guys who don't know how to lift the seat. )
