Great customer service!
The cap on the left mount is missing. I called Bemis and a live person answered the phone. No phone tree or having to leave a message. Kelly immediately took my information and is sending the missing part, I should get it in 3-4 days. The seat was easy to install, sturdy and comfortable!

Impressive - Bought a second one

Great seat but tricky to install
First, this is a well made, solid toilet seat. But I had trouble figuring out the process of installing. Once I realized that the “lock and unlock plates” didn’t need removed, it was easy and actually a good design. I still requested an instruction sheet which is exactly correct. So I have posted it. All you have to do is first replace the old bolt and screw with the new ones. (Bolt is located under toilet frame.) Tighten the screws and then place seat so that the 2 hinges cover the screws, making sure the hinges are in the unlocked position, and snap into place, then lock the hinges. No need to do any aligning.

Yes, I'm reviewing a toilet seat. Why? Because it's a good one. About 10 years ago, I moved into a new house that had white Church wooden toilet seats. This was before Church came out with the EasyClean hinges. The seats were comfortable, durable, and trouble-free, though cleaning around the hinges was always difficult (just like with any other toilet seat I've ever seen). Unfortunately, the seat in the downstairs half bath ended up with a dent on the lid from the kids banging it open against the flared edge of the tank lid day after day. I went out and bought a traditional Bemis toilet seat that looked just like the Church toilet seat. Big mistake. It installed easily and worked fine, but there was a sharp seam of some kind running around the inside of the seat and around the outside of the seat. If anyone sat there for more than a couple minutes, the seam was very noticeable. I was informed of this by several family members, and I had to agree that it wasn't a good place for doing any reading... Thinking I'd just gotten a bad seat, I went by the store to look and found that the rest of the seats had similar seams. Since I couldn't find Church seats at local stores, I ended up buying one from Amazon. And it was just as comfortable as the rest of the Church seats. When I moved out of the house, I replaced all of the seats with brand new Church seats (after thorough toilet cleanings, of course). It's easier to sell a house when the toilets are pristine and have brand new seats. After moving into my current house, I replaced the existing seats with Church EasyClean seats. They remain rock-solid and, as the name suggests, they're very easy to clean. Turn the two plastic knobs at the back of the seat to the left, and the seat lifts right off of the mounting posts. Clean up the hinge area with a few wipes, place the hinges over the posts, and turn the knobs back to the right. Now the seat is locked in place again. It doesn't get any easier than that. These seats are very easy to install. They don't move or slide around, have a solid feel to them, are quite durable, easy to clean and are very comfortable. Highly recommended!

Tips for installing
Ok, so to be honest I bought this toilet seat because it's cheap. I mean, who wants to spend a ton of money on a toilet seat? Over all I'm pretty happy with them (I bought two) except for the whole installation thing. There were no instructions and I really didn't want to pay to have someone come and do what really should have been an easy do it yourself task. Thank goodness for YouTube, I found a video that showed me how to do it but that dude must put these things on for a living because twist, snap, snap and he was done. Let me tell you if your not used to doing this, it's not that easy. Tips from a non handywoman to other non handymen and women: If you can snap the bolts in before you put the toilet seat on the toilet then twist the nuts on to that. If you can't do that (I couldn't with one of mine, The wing on the nut wouldn't fit on my upstair toilet) don't give up. Twist the bolts in with a screw driver and remember that the bolts SNAP into the seat before you can lock them in place. Banging them with the screw driver in frustration didn't seem to do any damage. I was pretty sure at one point that the seats did not fit either of my toilets. I had to snap the bolts in to the seat and then place them in the holes to be sure they fit. You might want to try this first so you don't lose hope. Over all they look nice. They seem very bight on my kinda old toilets. They are comfortable enough for toilet seats so I'm happy. As for the whole easy to clean hinge thing, I will not be removing them since they were so hard to get on, so I gave them 4 stars.

Quality seat for the money
I am overall impressed by the quality of this seat for the money. I have bought more expensive ones that did not last. The design and the gloss finish make it very easy to clean. Time will tell if its as good as it seems to be.

So worth it! Great value!
This is a great seat. I’m a bigger person and we have gone through many ill fitting seats at our place, but then I ordered this and I noticed it’s constructed very well, it fits so well which helps it maintain sturdiness and doesn’t slip or slide, and it was so simple to install, no tools needed. It was the first one I’ve ever personally installed and it was so simple. And the price is great, so if you need a seat, this one is highly recommend and I would buy again.

Damaged, but works with Luxe Bidet
This toilet seat works perfectly with the Luxe Bidet 185. That being said, it arrived damaged from shipping, and I don't have the necessary mobility to lug it back to the post office to return it. Disappointing.

Seems sturdy, but came damaged..
Would love to give this a great review, but I opened it up and the seat was cracked all the way through and the lid has a crack/chip out of it right out of the package.. Unfortunately I procrastinated in opening it to install it, so it's past the return date. Seems very sturdy and good construction otherwise..
