Your best weapon in a 'poor sanitation' environment where they won't go for the baits.

Works well for a while
I think this trap works well, but there are a couple issues with it. First off, one of the great things about it is you just turn a knob and place the trap wherever you want and you've caught mice. No bait, nothing. They just keep going in and getting trapped. In that sense, it's a wonderful mousetrap. But, on occasion, mouse will get caught half in - half out, and that is not fun to deal with at all. Also, the plastic piece on the side that holds the flipper in place wears out quickly and will cause a small gap that the littlest mice can get out of. Some good things, some bad things. Personally, I would buy this trap again if needed.

missing part Plastic wind handle missing on one of the traps
I have used one of these traps for over 40 years and the bottom rusted through. Purchased two more and one is working great but the second one is missing the plastic windup. Please send the winder and tell me how to install, or send another trap.

It might work too well
This thing is an absolute mouse catching machine. We use it in a cabin and you get multiple mice every night when its that time of year. Just make sure you check it often or things get really gross.

Great trap.
Works just as expected. Tt takes maintenance to empty and keep in working order. Sometimes a mouse or vole will get caught between the flipper and the side of the box, rendering the trap useless until the victim is removed

Best Trap I’ve Ever Used
We had mouse problems for years and all of the other traps we used did not work or they worked very rarely. We only ever caught maybe 3 mice in 2 years. Bought this trap and caught 5 mice within a few months and started seeing the mouse problem go away. Super easy to use and definitely effective.

They work great
I had an old one I got from my dad was probably 50 years old or older and I have been looking for another one for years this thing is great I purchased four of them no more trying to set peanut butter on a trap

Works like a charm - with bait!*
I had caught about a dozen mice with a variety of plastic traps and they worked - until the beasts learned to chew through them. So I decided I had to go steel and picked this one. Caught four the first day, then two the next! The seventh took another couple days but I haven't seen the vermin since. BTW, I never post reviews because I'm too lazy, but I had to here. Read on for a few pointers: 1. Use bait, but you only need a pea-sized dab of peanut butter on the removable, washable panel. Spread it a bit so the smell gets out easily. Their claim of "no bait needed" is technically true, but the smart money is on saving up rather than winning the lottery. 2. I had to move it to different locations to get that last booger because my basement has a lot of hiding places. 3. You'll have to keep using it if you don't plug up the holes in your foundation or siding where they come in. Around the time I used this, I plugged up a hidden hole that we watched them go into. I'm sure this helped immensely. 4. We were just tossing them across the road so there were two ditches for them to traverse. We started driving them 3/4 miles away so they had even more of adventure once they departed Shangri-La (I swear one of them was smiling as we ejected it from the Cheerios). I'm pretty sure this helped a lot. 5. Check early, check often. This product was great for a family or two of mice. Gathered them nicely, humanely, no nastiness except cleaning the shiny steel product, which was easy with water and toilet paper. The bait wasn't the problem when it came to cleaning up. *Update: One night we had a bunch of people over so I didn't check it. The next day, I found 2 black mice (I was always catching grey mice before). Let's just say that it was more like 1.75 mice. Or maybe a 1.25-mouse creature and a 0.75-mouse creature? Anyway, it was a pretty nasty cleanup. Maybe it was the breed of mouse that was different. However, this applies to any of the "live" traps - gotta keep checking them or they die. I've been religious about it since and haven't found a mouse in a week or two. Still 5 stars.

Works great, and humane
This product works quite nicely to capture these lil buggers in the garage. You don’t necessarily need bait. But I put a lil peanut butter on the activation switch to entice them to come. I tried some poisonous pellets at first, but they disintegrated inside the fridge and creates a mess to clean up. I do not recommend. Just captures them and release it in the woods a few KMs from the house.

Extremely easy ot use and effective humane way of removing mouse from your home!!
The media could not be loaded. We got a mouse in our brand new house that most probably went in through a weeping hole, very first night I got this trap, placed it underneath the stove with a little dap of peanut butter in the trap... 30 min after we went upstairs for the night... BLAM! Little mouse got caught, drop her in a forest clearing this morning about 2 km from home. Extremely effective and absolutely no need whatsoever to kill them. Now unto putting a metal mesh in those weeping holes.

Don't waste your money
We have had this for three weeks now and haven't caught one mouse in it .Now we heard they are best for caching mice well not one for us with this . Now the old fashion wooden ones we caught four mice in them already . So if you want my opinion go with the wooden ones they really work plus I bought mine at the dollar store there are 2 in a package for $1.99 each which is much cheaper then the fancy ones that don't work..

Simply Works
The media could not be loaded. Other types did not catch a single one. This one is worth the $!

Well made and functional - just didn't catch anything
This product was the best, in terms of construction and material, also the engineering aspect of the mechanism was great! Too bad our little mice had too many other food distractions to choose form, they weren't interested in this. I would suggest if using this trap, move all sources of food they will start investigating. We ended up resolving the issue non-traditionally. The mice were living in a specific box, and we just removed the box with all the mice in it. Otherwise, we would have cleaned out the entire area, and I'm sure the mice would have been trapped eventually.
