Good for testing floor heating cable

Installing heated floors and the warranty requires to test the megohm 3 times. Does the trick for a fraction of the price compared with a Fluke

Great price for what it is .

Great price for what it is . I use to check Fanuc Cnc motors . Every motor I’ve checked it has worked good . Found a couple of bad motors with it and confirmed a couple motors that turned out to be and people thought were bad .

Perfect for testing cable insulation (think: floor heating cables) even as just a regular multimeter

This is great for testing cable and wiring insulation (NM/MC/etc. cable, floor heating cables, etc.). If you're installing floor heating (such as Schluter's floor heating cable and thermostat; https://amzn.to/3CSfcZw), having one of these will help you ensure you don't damage the cable during installation or tiling, and may also extend your warranty. It also works great as just a regular multimeter, though it is perhaps not as feature-full as other multimeters, so it probably shouldn't be the only multimeter in your toolkit.

Value Megohmeter

The meter is accurate enough to use for a pass/fail test. It is a great tool for the price. People trying to compare it to a $700 Fluke are not being realistic.

It gets the job done.

I needed an insulation tester for automotive use and didn't want to pay for the Fluke 1507. This one did it! I was very surprised at how well it works. The double banana jack leads are a plus for easily adapting to the terminal test leads that I already have. I'd definitely buy it again!

Brilliant Build, Very Accurate Reading

I was a little taken aback by the price of this initially as my partner has gotten through a a fair few of the cheaper multimeters over the years, both through device failure and him leaving them at random jobs/sites but has also now had for a fair while what I considered to be quite an expensive one which he takes good care of and in terms of function and build was well worth the extra compared to his 'disposable' ones, but it was still only just over half the price of this. This has pretty much all the exact same features and really the only main difference are the layout slightly and the build - this is noticeably much more solid and feels like it will survive a little bit more rough and tumble and does feel like a very heavy duty serious bit of kit. It's marginally more accurate seemingly and a little quicker and more intuitive to use. If you need to replace an existing top end model for any reason then it's definitively worth shortlisting for the build quality and accuracy (or if your job requires very accurate site analysis/reporting then also a good choice) and likewise if you're tired of cheaper ones giving up the ghost after 6 months or so and want something much more solid and long-term.

Solid device with great safety features

If you’re in the market for one of these you’re probably a professional and need something you can depend on for work. From what I have been able to use this for so far I’m very impressed and it has worked flawlessly. I haven’t tested it to the full 1000v however everything else works well. The unit itself is built well with a solid stand and rubberised surround when holding it. The dial and buttons are easy to use and the screen has large digits easy to see. If you connect something with live voltage it sounds an alarm and gives you the voltage passing through. It comes with the batteries you need 6 AA’S and these are hidden below the stand and can be accessed with a screw driver. It’s a quality item and does everything it promises. Hopefully my review has been helpful.

A professional quality tool for Electrician’s.

This is one heavy duty multimeter. It’s designed for high voltage applications so it’s definitely aimed at the professionals out there. Build quality of the unit is outstanding and it comes with a nice carry case that can hold the multimeter and it’s accessories. The display is large, clear and the backlight makes it easy to see in low light situations. It comes with a fully insulated set of clamps for safety which is just as well when your dealing with high voltage electrics. Accuracy seems great when I tried it out though I didn’t use it with any voltages that were too crazy. It has a built in stand that makes it super easy to use.

Great Megger

This is a solidly-built, reasonably-priced megohmmeter/multi-meter. This piece of kit is handy to check for cuts or voltage loss on wires if you have the knowledge and competency. Anyone flocking out to buy this will know what they are doing so I just cut to the chase, a few cons: -I did not like the connection of the wires to the crocodile clips which looks a little flimsy -The caps that are covering the clips can potentially slip down if not careful -Prefer the testing probes handle in silicone, these are only plastic Klein is one of the leading brands on electrical tools that is affordable and durable. This product is no exception that does what it says brilliantly and it can take a few knocks on the field.

Great heavy duty unit - Includes carry bag - Extremely robust and easy to use

I am basically using this as a glorified multimeter as I have no requirement to do insulation tests on 3 phase feeds etc, but, based on the usage I have had, I can say its an extremely well built unit and is really easy and straight forward to use. I have just installed some outdoor sockets to power the Christmas lights and this was invaluable through the process as including testing before powering up the new circuit. I have a few Klein thing and have to say they are all well made and seem to be good value for money for professional users.
