Super grater.

This grater is really easy to use. I particularly like the little cup that goes underneath to catch whatever you are grating. It cleans easily. Got a second one for our cabin.

Grating done right

Sturdy, sharp, large and comfortable in hand... For a long time I've bought bags of shredded cheese to avoid the tedium of shredding it myself. Pre shredded isn't without issues and if decided buying blocks of cheese and shredding what I need as I need it produces a better quality end product. The block cheese, shredded, melts better. Supposedly the bag stuff has corn starch (?) added to keep it from sticking together in the bag. Can't explain the science but it prompted me to getting this box grater and putting in the extra time like mom used to do. I've not yet been disappointed with this purchase but I've not any feature except the standard cheese grater side of the box. The slicer is sharp, I expect it works well but I've not officially tested it. For some , the size of this kitchen implement might be off putting. It is a large box grater so if your kitchen forces you to space save at every turn I could see where this might be a little off putting. Did I mention it's a large box grater? That said, the size does provide a nice stable base for when you're really putting in the work. It comes with a little plastic measuring cup that snaps on the bottom. It wasn't a selling point for me but it could definitely be handy for some user trying to maintain portion control maybe but I feel like a good scale probably does that job more accurately. The build quality seems really good on this device. Time will tell.

Grates well, doesn't slice cheese

This grater is excellent for grating cheese and vegetables, such as zucchini for making bread. It does not slice cheese well because the side is curved, not flat. The container that snaps on is great for collecting what I've grated.

Love the container

Sturdy, well made grater, I like all the options and the container with measurement marks and lid is super convenient! I don't have a dishwasher and depending what you used it for, the ease of cleaning is just ok, sometimes a little hard to get up inside. Only negative thing which is why it's only 4/5 stars, I bought it to use as a zester as well but it's really difficult to do due to its size, if you just want to zest a lemon quick, most of it remains clogged up in the grate without producing anything catchable. I will be buying something else for that.

Absolutely fantastic!

This is a massive improvement over our old cheese grater, which was your standard box one. I usually buy cheap, but they always break too fast or rust and since this was on sale, I decided to go for it. It just feels like a totally different level in terms of quality. I think the rounded edges look much better than the sharp square edges. The only thing of note, that might annoy some people, is that to store the box you must take off the lid and reverse it and put it inside (it comes like this), but it takes up way less space that way. The lid on the bottom does keep water in, so when washing it's best to take it off and dry it separately. The box works great for catching cheese and my partner (the primary grater in our house) really loves this.

Does the job

It does the job, nice and sharp, seems sturdy. The container is a nice touch and fits inside the grater so doesn't take any extra space. Only downside is it's quite a bit bigger than I expected, bigger than a standard sized grater.

I ordered this twice and no container each time. If you want red one I would go for the single one without container. I am trying for the black set if no container last try. I still love shopping at Amazon. So easy to just sit down and order online, especially for seniors.
