Best Kitchen Drain Strainer Yet
I've tried 2 or three different sink drain strainers. All were a real pain in the neck that got clogged with next to nothing in them, had to constantly be emptied, and left standing water in my kitchen sink. This drain strainer is different. It actually does what it is supposed to do, really does keep water freely flowing (even with the strainer full) and doesn't require constant emptying and cleaning. Is it overpriced? Yes. But even so, it's worth it just for the elimination of the frustration factor alone. I knew this company made effective sink stoppers to catch hair after purchasing one of those several years ago to more easily remove and prevent hair clogs in my bathroom sink (They work great). So, when I saw they now made drain strainers for the kitchen sink, I didn't hesitate to try it. It works wonderfully. It is pretty sturdy too. I would highly recommend this product.

It traps everything!
So much nasty stuff was finding it's way thru my previous strainer and sometimes catching on the drain piece where it became difficult to clean out (I would often have to use a spoon or a knife and still stuff ended up finding its way down the drain). Finally got me one of these and it captures everything and still manages to let water thru when the thing is full. I have no clue how it works but it does so I bought another one for the other side of the sink. There's been a couple of times where the rubber has come dislodged allowing stuff to escape but I think it's when I hit the strainer with a heavy pan or something to cause that to happen. Would definitely recommend.

Keeps the water flowing
As someone that does not often want to, or need to, fill the sink with water, I appreciate the design of this drain. There is very little I like about washing dishes, but when it involves fishing into an accidental build up of water in the bottom [thanks to some stray rice that might have not been rinsed too well...], that dislike swings into full blown animosity - toward the sink drain. The design of this is pretty simple, and it set right into the drain and looks like it belongs there. So, aesthetics? Good. Draining? Also good, because it has an extra neck that reaches up just a little higher, allowing the strainer to catch things that shouldn't go down the drain, but still let water flow through until I can get there. Even if there are plates or pots in the way. I wouldn't toss the strainer that blocks the drain so we can fill it, but I would store it under the sink, out of the way, because I don't use it really at all since we got this one. Good idea, simple design, no moving parts to get stuck. Very happy with this purchase.

Almost never clogs!
We hand wash all our dishes, no dishwashers in these old buildings. I keep a small colander/strainer next to the sink to dump food, but not everyone uses it. The strainer is sturdy, and thanks to the holes in the top of the stem it rarely clogs. Before this my roommate would get frustrated and remove the strainer entirely, and particles of food would go right down the drain. Not great because it can get stuck in the trap. Great invention!

Fits over the garbage disposal drain opening...
This is lightweight. Take it out of the package and place it in sink drain opening. It will not hold water to fill a sink. It does cover my garbage disposal which is really helpful to me. This sinkshroom is definitely worth the money for me.

Great Design
This was a great replacement of my old one. Easy to remove for cleaning without getting too dirty. Draining water slightly better than older one I had.

Sturdy
This is a very sturdy drainer. I usually just but plastic cheap ones. But after reading other reviews I decided to buy this one. I’m glad I did. It really is a good one.

This thing works great
Way better than those dollar tree mesh sink strainers that get disgustingly nasty almost instantly. This actually holds the food and keeps it from squeezing through the holes so it’s easy to toss out when it’s time. I love the design to where the water never stops flowing even when the basket is full. Would highly recommend!

Good product but not suitable for my sink
The product is good quality but too big for my sink. I dont think it was a made for UK design home sinks.

Works well
Great fit, would benefit from a rubber gasket.

Works as promised - but one annoying flaw...
I bought this because our current kitchen sink drainer caught food debris but very quickly prevented the water from draining away... resulting in a sink full of gross washing up water. *What works well* This 'Sinkshroom' does catch the debris and still allow water to drain way more freely, 5 stars for that! Of course if you get too much debris it will get blocked at a certain point, but that comes much later than your standard plug of this kind. I haven't had it long but it looks durable and I thought the value price wise was fair. *The flaw* You can't actually use this as a plug to keep the water in the sink if you want to. This is the one major thing the other standard drainers of this sort can do... catch debris whilst also fundamentally acting as a plug. So you either have to buy a large stick on cover to go over the top (more espense and another thing to clean, pretty big so would need cleaning regularly) or you need to keep/buy a seperate standard plug for anytime you actually want to fill up the sink. The product does not promise to act as a plug so I have kept it as a high rating. It does work as promised in that respect, it's just a inconvenient that it results in the need for 2 plugs.

Great sink strainer
This is a good sink strainer. Catches all sizes of scraps. It doesn't allow the water to pool (in my sink anyway). Cleaning it is challenging. With it being a rubber, it can be quite sticky. If something stringy or a hair gets trapped in it, I find it hard to clean because it become tangled in the holes.
