Motor slows down and stops too easily when used for grinding or cutting. Practically useless except for the most light duty tasks. This was with the 4.0 ah battery fully charged. And tested with multiple batteries.

I have 3 corded angle grinders and this one. It's great to just grab the cordless for quick grinds. i would guess the battery life for continuous flap disc work on steel to be about 10 Min . But for short bursts probably about 30 min. But i just swap out the battery and put the other on the charger. Or for long use or need for serious grinding - i go to my corded dewalt.

V20 is the Good Craftsman
I already had a corded angle grinder that I have been using for the last several years. When I had the opportunity to test this battery powered version, I was looking for applications that would show the advantage of having cordless versus corded. I found the ideal application for a cordless angle grinder when I needed to adjust some metal work that was done on my galvanized steel gutters on my home. Using this angle grinder without a cord I was able to go up a ladder and safely grind off some rough metal work, a gutter cover that I needed to adjust to fit, and a bolt head that was sticking up in the wrong place. Not only is being cordless more convenient, but it is also safer as there is the lack of a cord tangling up my feet in the ladder. Some of the things I really like about this particular unit are that it is more powerful than my corded and admittedly an expensive HF unit. This new craftsman cordless grinder comes with a four amp hour battery and has plenty of power to do all the jobs that I need to do. Aside from adjusting my gutter, I also used it to cut some small metal strips and other kinds of trimwork around the house. It is pretty powerful to do that kind of cut off work. Additionally, it is very simple and easy to remove and replace the grinding wheel. I was easily able to switch between the end cut off wheels, and thicker grinder wheels. There is a built in Arbor lock in the unit and a wrench that allows you to takeoff the arbor not really easily. Additionally, the grinding shield is easy to adjust and the handle for two handed use can be moved from side to side really easily. This is the second tool that I have acquired in the Craftsman V20 lineup. These are different than the alternative Craftsman 20 V, which is manufactured for the old Craftsman brand which is still part of Sears holding. This is confusing in that the battery systems of the two Craftsman brands (V20 and 20v) are incompatible. My 20V jigsaw is luckily compatible. Another point to know is that the V20 products are actually specified and made for or by Stanley Black & Decker vs whatever generic source the other Craftsman comes from. My V20 tools have the good feel of the B&D, Porter Cable lineage vs something less. My other tools are mostly Makita, DeWalt, Porter Cable, and Delta (old Delta). These V20 tools feel at home to me. I recommend these surprisingly good tools

The media could not be loaded. Exelente, lo e estado probando con baterías 2 y de 1.3 amperes buen rendimiento pero sería mejor con una de 4 amperes, se siente de excelente calidad en los plásticos y en general!! Super recomendable!!

Buen producto, pero.........
Inicié el proceso de devolución, ya que no se especifica correctamente en la publicación, el funcionamiento del interruptor de paleta: no es posible bloquearlo para trabajo continuo y eso para mí fue una decepción total, ya que estoy acostumbrado a la magnífica calidad de CRAFTSMAN y me costó trabajo la decisión de devolver esta amoladora.

Wasn't up to par.
Poor power performance! Takes a bit for it to get to high RPM's but as soon as you apply pressure on the grinding wheel, it beeps a few times and stalls out. Might be just a bad apple but it was enough discourage me from keeping it.

Very light, works great!
Did a tile job and used this grinder for my speciality cuts, worked great, battery life was a bit short, but with two batteries and a fast charger you can work continuously. Not sure how long it will last.
