Decent kit of basic nail grooming items

3.5/5: Just like the name, this is a basic kit with 5 nail grooming items. I'll rank them in order of how well they work. 4.5/5 Toenail clipper: best item in the kit. Normally large clipper are hard to control, but these are great and easy to use. Just the right sharpness to not have nails flying. Prefer these to the small clipper in the kit. No built-in nail file. 4.5/5: Cuticle pusher: I normally skip cuticles, especially when it's the metal ones. These are foul-proof - they are just firm enough to push back cuticles, but still soft so you can't hurt yourself. 3/5: Small clipper: these are smaller than standard finger clippers and very angled at the handle, so they are not the most comfortable to hold. They are REALLY sharp (could be good or bad depending your preference). Also no built-in nail filer. 3/5: Filer: there's no built-in filers on either clipper so have to use this. Standard filer and works well. 2/5 Tweezers: are not good. They are blunt and it's hard to grab any hairs. Works ok as an emergency backup pair, but worst item in the kit.

You're basic...but that's a good thing here!

The Amazon Basics grooming kit lives up to its name. I selected this kit to have on hand in our car. When you've had to pay a premium for some tweezers on vacation or while out shopping, you will remember to keep these types of things on hand. While the kit is basic, it gets the job done. I am not well versed in using a cuticle pusher, so I cannot comment on it, and I would have preferred small grooming scissors instead.

It’s a good value for what you get

I would consider this very much a budget grooming kit from Amazon Basics. The thing about Amazon Basics is that you get the “basic” everyday stuff of decent quality for a good price. With this brand, you at least know you’ll get something functional for the price you pay. This set comes with two nail clippers, which work fine - they’re basic metal nail clippers that work fine. They don’t work as well as my German made nail clippers, but those are quadruple the price for just the nail clippers. The file and the tweezer work fine too. I don’t really use the cuticle pusher. All-in-all, it;s a very decent set to have around and it’s nice that it comes in a carry case.

Ok quality kit

The tweezers don’t grab that well it takes a few tries and a good grip. The nail and toes clippers are good quality and sharp. Nail file and cuticle pusher work well, gets the job done. Good basic set.

It's OK

This is a pretty basic product. It is a grooming kit and comes in a clear ziplock style resealable bag. There are 2 nail clippers, a tweezer, a nail file and a cuticle pusher. I feel like you get what you pay for here. This is a bargain priced item, and the quality of each of these is about what you would expect for something priced this way. The file is very flimsy and delicate, but works fine. The nail clippers and tweezer are functional just nothing special. It works as expected and is good for the price, just don't expect to be getting some premium quality at this price point.
