My dog LOVES the flavor of this doggy toothpaste, making it a breeze to brush my pup's teeth. Will be buying this forever now.

Fingers beware!

Our little jack-chi doesn't enjoy this but he at least tolerates it. The clear cap for your finger might work for some dogs but for us, he doesn't seem to know that it's my finger. He chews it rather than lets me brush, so it's not quite the experience either of us are looking for. Toss that aside and the small end of the brush works exceptionally well even when he insists on his mouth staying shut. Easy to push his lips back and brush those teeth. The toothpaste isn't something I'd say smell or would taste good (haven't tried) but its at least something the dog doesn't fight about...even if he doesn't like it either. With a tolerating dog it's still quite a mess, but well worth having better breath and good teeth for a 6-7 year old pooch. Well worth spending and trying with your dog.

The cheapest and one of the best.

Even though I don't mind spending money on my pets, I've found that of the 7 different brands I've tried, this is tied as their favorite, and happens to be one of the cheapest. The dog loves it and looks forward to "brush" time (runs to the bathroom when you shout "brush, brush"). The cats never like the brushing process but will tolerate this brand if you rub it against their molars and let the enzymes do their work. With some of the expensive brands, they've hated the flavor so much that they foam at the mouth, trying to get the taste out. This is also one of the few that stores well without either getting hard or breaking up. So, stock up without worry (I've had them last a year in the cabinet, no problem). EDIT; Please be aware that they are now manufacturing this product in China. I'll leave it up to you to decide whether you feel comfortable using it or not. Personally, I've switched brands because of the toxicity issues often associated with Chinese-made pet products. I hope Nutri-Vet will consider mfg in the US because this was the one brand my pets actually liked.

Good value product dog loves it

My dog loves this and lets me brush his teeth easily-he’s only a puppy but he gets so excited when I take the toothbrush out. My only reason for 4 stars is that this doesn’t smell minty or fresh-it smells like chicken...therefore yes I’m cleaning my dogs teeth which is most important but I haven’t seen the fresh breath effects

Best Kit We Have Used!

My dog has terrible teeth from his not so great life before we adopted him. We have gone through several toothbrushes and toothpaste kits in his life and this is definitely our favorite. The Toothpaste: -Chicken Flavored. My dog prefers it to other toothpaste though from a human perspective it smells pretty gross. -Good Consistency -Gets the job done (We use this one on and off with a minty/peanut butter flavor) The Toothbrush: -Really good for a dog toothbrush. The dual brushes are super nice no matter the size of your dog. -The finger brush is the best I have every used. Most finger brushes have little rubber bristles instead of actual fiber bristles but this one has an actual brush on the end. It's great for getting some of the harder to reach spots. The toothbrush and the finger brush stand up extremely well to the dishwasher. When we are done brushing we throw them in the silverware rack portion of the dishwasher to keep them from getting too much toothpaste build-up.

Product does not look like advertised. It looks like this http://www.nutri-vet.com/dental-hygiene-kit/ Product is not made is St. Joseph, MO anymore, is made in CHINA. Product still contains two brushes (one double sided with a small head and a larger head, and one finger brush). Product is 2.5 OZ enzymatic toothpaste. Dog likes it. Is poultry flavored, no many complains except that it does not look like advertised and is no longer made in the USA. However, I have not noticed any issues on my mom's dog (20-25 pound mutt). It is cheap and it works, however, if you are concern with CHINA sourced dog items STEER CLEAR.

Awesome deal for the price!

Obviously, different dogs have different tastes, so it won't be successful for all. But my pup loves the toothpaste, and because of that, he quickly adapted to our new teeth-brushing regime. I tell him it's "teeth-brushing time!" and he runs to the bathroom, excited to play his game of trying to lick off all the toothpaste before I can finish using it on his teeth! I started with just letting him lick a small amount off my fingers, then graduated slowly from rubbing it on his teeth with my fingers, to using the finger brush (he couldn't even tell the difference, it was great), and finally we've just started using the real toothbrush in combination with the fingerbrush. This amount of toothpaste is lasting us quite a while, because you really don't need to use a lot at a time. The product is great, especially for the price, it just takes patience and training.

Sparky seems to love it!

My dog seems to enjoy this and comes over to me voluntarily every night when it’s time to brush his teeth. Granted, I’ve been brushing his teeth every night for years now so he is used to it. I think this toothpaste does work like every other enzyme toothpaste. When I check his teeth they look clean and my vet is happy his teeth and gums are so healthy! This is cheaper than the toothpaste my vet sells. So as long as it keeps working well I would keep buying this!

Experiencia saludable.

La verdad nunca le había lavado los dientes a mi mascota, y no está acostumbrado; pero apenas le hice dos aplicaciones y veo un cambio increíble en sus dientesitos, se ven limpios, sanos y fuertes. El olor no es tan agradable para los humanos, pero para mi perrito, no está mal.

Está ok.

Está bien que venga con el cepillito de silicón para el dedo, hace más fácil la limpieza. No me gustó el olor, huele muchísimo a pollo artificial aunque teóricamente cumple con la función de limpiar sarro y tartar.

creo que el olor que deja en la boca de mi perro para nada es fresco, parece como si apenas hubiera comido... pero yo creo que en comparación con otros productos mi perro se dejo limpiar los dientes.
