Makes for a nice gift

It does what it’s supposed to, the finished product turned out decent. The suggested amount of water and wait times appear to be way off though. It says to wait 20-30 minutes to decorate…it wasn’t until a few hours had passed that I was able to write anything in the cement. I was surprised to find plastic decorations provided instead of glass, but they look cute once placed. I wouldn’t recommend actually stepping on these stones, but they are lovely decorations.

Fun craft

It was fun to do. I added to much water, so I'd add a little bit at a time... It took a long time to cure, and started cracking. Luckily it was still wet and I was able to fix the cracks before it cured all the way. But it was fun to do!

Is what it says but cracked immediately

It's a cheap stepping stone kit, so I didn't expect much from it. It was smaller than I expected, though, and all the "gemstones" are cheap plastic. I put it in a flowerbed near my patio and, after stepping on it twice, it cracked in half. It still makes a cute addition to the flowerbed but is totally useless now. :(

It was ok

Took forever to dry and the decor pieces look so cheap. Does not resemble photo very well. It will be used more of a decoration because it does not seem sturdy enough to step on at all.

Smaller than expected

This was smaller than expected and the decoration items included are a bit stingy. I’ll have to dive into my craft box for more items to complete the project. It’s definitely not large enough to be a functional stepping stone (maybe about 8” diameter?), which is what we were hoping for.

The added decorations are a little cheesy and the timing for how long to leave the concrete to set seemed to be a little off

Would not recommend

Followed the instructions to a T on both kits and even added the water gradually and neither kit set up. Have done many other kits and never had any issues. Not sure what exactly the issue is, but both kits were a different lot.

Such an easy and fun little project. I used the kit to make a footprint of my son. I love it.

Easy to mix and has enough time before it sets to get just the right print if you need to try a couple times. Just shake the little mold and it will fill back in if you mess up. My son wasnt cooperative the first couple of trys to get the footprint. I let it sit for 20 min before my first attempt to get the print and still had a good 10 min of working time. Affordable and has cute little stones and plastic mosaics to add into it.

Fun Project but expensive

I purchased this product while I was visiting my grandson. We used some of our own amethyst from a pick your own site to create a keepsake for the front garden bed. The item arrived very quickly but it required me to purchase a cheap mixing bowl at a dollar store. There were no protective gloves to use so that was disappointing. The larger colour stones are glass but the smaller irregular shapes are plastic and the 2 stars are plastic. We did not use the glitter. The mold is a very thin, brittle plastic so do not move it after pouring or while it hardens. It did release the stepping stone nicely. I did achieve the results I was looking for but I found the price was very expensive for the contents. I did pay the asking price because the time with my grandson is limited. Would recommend if you are willing to pay the price.

Lovely product, but not for outdoor use

I bought this stepping stone for my 4 year old. I was attracted to this particular item because it claimed to be for outdoor use and for the garden. What I really like: •lovely stones and colourful mosaic plastic pieces adds colour to the stone; •glitter adds a nice touch; •the end product is lovely! What I didn’t like so much: •the plaster didn’t set well - I had to keep removing water (despite following the instructions meticulously) by pouring out and dabbing. Eventually the plaster set and my son could use it; •the plaster crumbled on the edges and seems fragile; •the plaster does not appear to be suitable for outdoor use (or if it was used outdoors, it wouldn’t withstand the elements, in my opinion). Overall, I really like the stepping stone. The process of making it is lots of fun, the accessories are colourful and more than sufficient. It engaged my 4 year old and the end product is great. I had hoped to put this in the garden, but alas it wasn’t meant to be. It now sits proudly on display in house as a keepsake. I would definitely buy this again with the view to use it inside. Recommended!
