A Must Have

This thing is a life saver! I bought this for my Garmin Tactix (it's compatible). The silicon strap that comes with the watch is the most uncomfortable thing on this planet, and a problem I have with all notch-based watch bands is that my wrist just so happens to fit neatly right between two notches. So it's always either too tight or too loose. This strap is just right. I can snug it up so that the watch doesn't move whether I'm running, cycling, lifting, or just walking around, and it's not so tight that it's uncomfortable. It breaths much more than a silicon or leather strap, so you don't have to worry about that gross sweaty watch ring around your arm. On that note, it's fine in the water (or sweat) and dries reasonably quickly. I like being able to adjust it on the fly as well. When it's time to put on gloves, I just unstrap it, move it up my arm, and secure it again. I've worn it daily for a few months now and haven't noticed any seam breaks or fraying or tearing of any kind. The nylon is pretty strong. If you're an active person (and if you have a Garmin watch I'm assuming you are) you should def try one of these out.

Good Band Replacement

Was a little unsure at first, used to having the silicone band, but they kept breaking. This was a better deal and fits on my Fenix 3. Looks good and rinses and dries quickly. Wish I had gotten one sooner. Update - be careful at the beach. Waves managed to dislodge the Velcro and and take my watch. Hoping a dolphin out there is getting some good feedback with their new watch.

Lasted me about two years...

At exactly two years, I am reordering this strap. That's about how long it has lasted me before the velcro fails to the point where the end just doesn't stick that good, and begins to get caught on things (especially sleeves when putting on a jacket, etc.). I like the strap enough that I am ordering a new one, but I wish there were more options, including other colors (like OD or FDE).

Designed for Fenix 2 but works on Fenix 3 - Need tools for Fenix 3

When I bought this is was advertised as a Fenix 3 band. While it fits a Fenix 3, the included Torx drivers do not work on the Fenix 3. Luckily I had the right tools around to get the old band off and this one on.

More durable than original band

This product is an absolute must if you own a Garmin Fenix Gen 1 watch. The silicone straps the watch comes with, wore out from everyday wear in approximately 6 months. This product is made with the same material as a seat belt and is extremely durable. The kit itself comes with tools and extra screws, which will be very handy.

Velcro Doesn't Last

I liked this band, but it suffers from two drawbacks...the more serious of which is that the fuzzy part of the velcro came off of the band so that it no longer holds. The band also covers that back of the watch, which makes charging difficult. I would not buy this product again. Hopefully Garmin has updated this product since I bought it two years ago.

Great Alternative to the Rubber Factory Ones for the Tactix and Fenix!

Has done great so far on my wrist, I got this to replace the factory black silicone one that came on my Garmin Tactix which finally broke apart after two years of deployments. This one is very comfortable and high quality and a good alternative to the rubber/silicone ones that are included with the watches. Had held up very well and anticipate it holding up for quite some time.

Highly recommend, mainly because it is a garmin product.

I am a bit biased because I love anything Garmin. If this was any other company, it would get a 4/5 because the screws that comes with it will not fit a Fenix 3. So if you are buying this because your screws broke, don't get this. However, I used the old strap's screws and it worked great. I was worried that the Velcro would loosen over time, but so far so good. I am a bit OCD when it comes to washing so it gets washed with soap after each run and no problems yet. Would I recommend? Of course, but not if your old screws broke.

Screwdrivers and screws are useless

First impressions were good, the strap is a good quality and it seemed I had everything in the box to quickly switch the strap when I want to use the watch for running. However the 2 supplied screwdrivers are completely the wrong size for the original screws in my Fenix 3 and the new screws are also not compatible, so for the amount paid you get a strap with the Garmin name on and that's it!! Not impressed that I had to go buy 2 screwdrivers and use the original bars and screws.

Any colour you want as long as it's black.

Great watch strap, looks good on the fenix 3. I had to buy a Torx t6 screwdriver and re-use the bars from my watch, as the bars supplied were much bigger. This increased the cost by about £3, as I already had a T6, but you need two. Other downside with all velcro straps is hte propensity to snag cuffs and pull them into little fur balls. This stap is not as bad (so far) as other straps for velcro snags. Time will tell, but so far I'm pleased with it. I opted for this type of strap over the style that came with hte watch, because the plastic unit lasted about 9 months. I don't want to replace a £20 watch strap every nine months. It would have been good if Garmin has included the T6 drivers and new bars too, as it's expensive for a strip of web with Velcro sewn on. You can fit the charger behind the strap for charging, there's no need to remove the strap. I would have like a colour option, like red to replace my plastic strap, but it seems these straps are the Ford version, any colour you want as long as it's black.
