What is happening right now!?!?

Most things don't impress me as a general rule. Truthfully, I bought this vacuum because it was purple and that's how I roll. I expected it to be like every other vacuum I have owned, but I was pleasantly surprised. I have vacuums on all levels of my house because as a person of a particular age, there are some things that are not worth tearing up my back any more. Bad sex is one; hauling a vacuum up and down stairs is another. I understand why this one is called the Intuition, because it does all the things you used to have to do manually with vim and vigor. Multiple levels over carpet with a rug pad, hardwood, you name it, nothing fazes it. Zip and pip. Swivel head - oh yeah - it zips around all the things. Happy to do it too. Fits under things your previous vacuum stopped dead in it's tracks like a deer in headlights on - yes it does. Good Lord this thing is a joy. Took all of 5 minutes to get it out of the box and put together and we were off on a dance like Fred and Ginger. Automatically adjusts the height level like some kind of mind-reading concierge - here ma'am, let me get that for you. Stairs you say? Well here is my extra length pop out wand that is so handy, I didn't even need to use the pop off feature. What!?! I haven't even told you the best feature yet - this thing sails like a boat that caught the perfect breeze. I dread the back pain I get with vacuuming, but this little dandy let me vacuum an entire level of my house without a break. That my friends, is worth it's weight in gold. If you are on the fence, I hope this review helps. I think I should get a free one for this review, but alas, no one sponsored or compelled me to write a review. I did have a margarita however, so I felt I should share.

Good initial experience.

Ok, this is hardly a review based on months or years of experience with this vacuum. We've had it for about a week, used it once. But initial impression is quite positive. Did great job covering a carpet an floor. Love the maneuverability. And accessing and replacing bag is soooooo much easier, cleaner than dealing with our old bagless vac. Handles dog fur perfectly. Air filter must be quite effective, as could not smell anything while sweeping. All in all, a good start.

Great vaccum cleaner, Kenmore quality

This is a great vacuum cleaner with renowned Kenmore quality at an excellent price point. Pros: Lightweight without sacrificing build quality. Lays virtually flat in upright mode allowing you to vacuum further under furniture Hose wand is very easy to use. The handle and shaft in upright mode becomes the hose wand with one click of a button. Pull it up and out, put on an attachment and go! (note: it's sufficiently long, but not as long as it looks in the picture. That's a short lady using it, lol. Would be nice if it were extendable too. But overall no different than most vacs.) Assembly is EASY. No screws nor tools needed. It even comes with a bag already inserted! Bravo Kenmore HEPA exhust vent is well placed and not too "windy". Some other vacs exhaust like a hurricane. Long cord. I found myself vacuuming several rooms without unplugging. Cons/expectations: There aren't many things I didn't like. Be aware that this isn't a full-size vac. The roller base isn't full-size wide. But who needs to vaccum acres of carpet? It's light weight and maneuverability more than compensates. Plus it's easier to vacuum many more tight spots than a full-size. That said, it has full-size quality and features. It's not a cheap stickvac. There isn't a carpet height adjustment. But it still worked fine on my high pile dense carpets. Turning off the brush roller for hard floors is just a click of a button. Speaking of buttons, all are conveniently located together on the top of the body. Note: The red version does not come with a pet roller brush as stated in the description. I think that's the main price difference between the other models. The other attachments and storage are just fair. I've seen this on other, more expensive vacs too. The brush attachment has stiff bristles and the crevice tool is puny, but still works OK. The wide upholstery attachment is good. I'll be looking for better attachments here on Amazon, universal to use with my shop vac too.

Kenmore upright vacuum

Not for long hair

This vacuum is not good for people with long hair. There is not (an easy) way to take out the brush roller and clean it. You have to leave it in place and use a scissor and snip, snip snip and try to reach your fingers around the small plastic parts. My previous and beloved Hoover Wind Tunnel lasted 11 years, I believe, because I could maintain it (keep the brush clean and change my own belts). Five screws and I could take out the brush roller and clean it completely (safely with a razor), without sitting on the floor breaking my nails. We have a lot of hair in my house and I am very disappointed that there is not a way to take out the roller. Otherwise, I really do like how light it is and the smaller size fits under my furniture better. The attachments are easily accessible, though seem a little flimsy, so far so good- at 4 months of use.

Fantastic!

Love this vacuum. I’ve had shark bagless for years and this one has a much strong suction. I love the bags and there’s an indicator light to tell you when to change the bag. I have lots of dogs and it works great! Happy with my purchase for sure!

Excellent value vacuum.

Wanted a cheap vacuum cleaner to replace my Dyson D50 that keeps breaking. I'll get it fixed (again) but it's always good to have two. The Kenmore is a nice vacuum cleaner for the price. Very good suction and I LOVE that it has a bag. I peeked in the bag after using it once and it picked up a ton of cat hair and dust. Emptying out those dust cups is really disgusting, so just dropping the bag in the garbage will be nice. Very maneuverable and I felt like it seemed to "know" where to turn going around table and chair legs. It is quite a bit heavier to harder to push than the D50 but I'm getting a good arm workout. Only comes with two attachments that look pretty flimsy but again, for this price, I think it's worth it. Very pleased with this purchase.
