Gorgeous charming dish set!

Happiness does not begin to describe my feelings when I realized these were being sold on Amazon. I registered for a set of 8 for my wedding from Bloomingdales and they never showed. Bloomingdales has issues getting the inventory and kept sending me delay notifications. I tried again with some website Borsheims (had never heard of them honestly), and it felt like these sets were in stock. They too were delayed and I ended up canceling the order. Leave it to Amazon to just always always always get it right. They show they are in stock and they ACTUALLY WERE. They arrived two days later, and all were beautifully packed, not a single scratch on any of the items across all 8 sets (that’s 32 pieces I checked!), and I am so beyond thrilled to finally have these in my possession. The pictures on the website do not so these dishes justice. They are so charming, high quality and the little silver edge adds a hint of elegance. But I am hoping these can be my year round China that I will use for family brunches, dinners and fun gatherings because the pattern still feels light and whimsical vs super serious. A simply gorgeous set and worth every penny. Thank you Kate Spade for finally selling on Amazon!!! I can’t wait to get my pasta bowls (yes I broke down because these are so lovely and had to have 8 of those too!).

Attractive Seersucker Print Place Setting

Kate Spade Laurel Street 4 piece set. This set is easily attractive and eye-catching with its blue and white "seersucker print". Each place setting will make an attractive addition to any formal or non-formal meal. The sturdiness of these items, microwave and dishwasher safe, makes a set place like this something you don't have to hide away for "special occasions". The mugs and bowls are a fabulous size. The design also blends in well with other styles for a fun eclectic look to your table. Unfortunately, sticker shock at $85 per placesetting may have other people look elsewhere. From my experience with this place setting, eating off of it, washing it by hand and in the dishwasher, gently scraping a knife across the plate as one would do when cutting meat or vegetables, I am impressed by its hardiness. Kate Spade puts out attractive, quality pieces, and you definitely get what you pay for. The pink box each set is packaged in will easily become a favorite for your "catchall box" or use it to regift something in the future.

Really beautiful set but only for one

This set is really stunning in person. It comes in a box that looks like a designer cake should pop out of (big props on that). In side you receive 1 dinner plate, 1 salad plate, 1 bowl, and 1 coffee cup. The background color of the porcelain is a beautiful snowy white while the complimenting pattern is in a brilliant sky-blue that is set off by a delicate yet shiny metallic rim. If I saw this in a book I wouldn't pick the pattern or color, in person its really lovely. I can see why a set is valued at what it is, if for nothing else the material and attention to detail alone demand the expense. The bowl has a nice depth to is but doesn't feel or look like a giant trough. The plates look large however, the space to serve food is reserved which, i personally love because that helps me with portion control. (not everyone needs or wants that, it is a feature I like). The coffee cup is a standard size and shape but it to has all the same quality and features as the rest of the dishes. I have never had a very nice set of dinnerware. I believe because of this I was a bit shocked that this is only a 1 place setting purchase. However, you can create your own "sets" or buy individual pieces in any denomination you need.
