Perfect for a new/struggling reader
I got these for my kindergartner who is struggling to learn to read. I have her point to each dot and say the sound, then blend them. After going through the CVC card pack once, my daughter had already improved immensely, and just keeps getting better and better each time we use them. These cards are turning out to be invaluable for teaching my child to sound out words and read!

Great concept but too small.
I was imagining they’d be quite a bit bigger. We’ll have to return for this reason as not the best when working with visually impaired, etc.

We also bought magnetic letters and my 3 year old spells out the words and then flips card to see if she is correct.

Exactly what I needed for class
The product it self is great, but the outer box was broken before I had even opened it, the cardboard box for the cards cracked as I opened the box to take out the cards, too…

Great set for early readers!
This set is excellent, though there are a few more advanced consonant combinations stuck in with the CVC words. This has been great for use with magnetic letters to practice building words. I did take off a star because with kids using them, I would prefer for them to be plastic coated like playing cards to waterproof them a bit. Otherwise, the set is an excellent value and has been perfect for our needs.

Great learning differently tool!!
These are very good at helping my 9 year old to remember and brake down every sound of the word. Lol.. She flew right through the cards. When it normally takes time to go through these words on paper. I will be getting the step up for her. I wish they would come out with larger words. Loved it!!

Decent
Overall I like the product for working with my 4 year old on sounding out words. The font is a bit tricky for him as some of the letters look similar. Some of the words are not typical either (ex. pip for seed). Overall, it’s a decent product and gets the job done.

Must Have Phonic Resource
Must have phonic cards for beginning readers. As a K-1 combo teacher, these cards have been great for distance teaching. The dots are very useful to show how to blend letter sounds together to make words. I like how the word is on one side and the picture on the other. I use the cards for both reading and spelling.
