The Perfect Paddle

I absolutely love this paddle and the way it performs. The CFS or Carbon Friction Surface creates an insane amount of spin. Once you get comfortable hitting shots with spin this will create an advantage that’s really tough to counter on the opposite side of the net. A couple other big perks are the shape and weight of the paddle. I’ve played with the Ben Johns Hyperion 14mm Swift and the 16mm standard Hyperion and in my opinion this paddle feels more balanced and equally weighted. The 16mm carries it’s weight in the head and that can create a challenge with fast hands at the net and overtime can cause a bit of tennis elbow. The Solaire feels much more balanced in comparison and the weight, although roughly the same, does feel spread throughout the paddle rather than focused in the head. As for the shape it’s a bit wider than the 16mm Hyperion and is more of a standard Pickleball paddle shape rather than elongated but the sweet spot pushes out deeper to the edge and balls almost never feel dead even if they aren’t hit perfectly. The Hyperfoam edge wall creates a surface that’s super forgiving if the edges of the paddle connects with the ball, and will save you from miss hits and at least give you a chance to keep the ball in play. Being 14mm this paddle also produces tons of power. The ball comes off the face of the paddle with lots of pace when you get on it and has a crisp pop when you put the ball away. I honestly don’t have anything bad to say about this paddle. I know Joola had some manufacturing issues at launch with their lineup but since then their pickleball products have become some of the best in the industry and this Solaire paddle I think is the best paddle they currently have as it offers all of the best from the Hyperion 16mm (CFS, Hyperfoam, carbon forged handle) but with better weight balance and a more forgiving sweet spot. Quick pros & cons: Pros: - CFS, lots of spin - plenty of power - large sweet spot - perfectly weighted and balanced - neoprene cover looks great and is high quality Cons: - slightly shorter than Hyperion paddles - grip doesn’t stay white very long The Joola Solaire 14mm paddle is superb. It made me a better player and if you buy it, you’ll love it.

Solid Paddle

Huge upgrade from my first Pickleball paddle, big sweet spot, lots of power with control. The handle has a good feel, but the color (white) is difficult to keep clean. A bit overpriced. But I feel it’s a good a paddle for my still developing skill.

Carbon face came with a factory flaw. Customer support not helpful

I love the way this paddle plays and the price was right. But before I even unpackaged it, I noticed the flaw on the face of paddle. I had a tournament the weekend I got it so I just went with it and it plus fine. But that flawed carbon face just bugs. So I contacted support and they want me to ship them paddle back before they ship me a new one. So up a creek without a paddle for a week? Not what I expect. Will probably return to Amazon as a prime member but quality control on this paddle was Poor and customer support was not very responsive or helpful. Joola makes great paddles, just not this one I guess.

Among the very best pickleball paddles

In the past few months, i’ve been constantly upgrading paddles. I started off with a no name $25 paddle. It worked, but that was about it. Then when seeing a friends paddle, i decided to upgrade to a head flash paddle which runs about $60, that was light years above my original paddle and it kept me happy for a few months. I then had a chance to see a Joola paddle that my cousin had and i was stuck realizing how behind the head paddle was. At $210 this is a pricey paddle, but with the carbon fiber textured face it allows you to add spin like no other paddle. The balance of it feels drastically better than the head flash, even though the joola actually weighs a little bit more, it felt lighter due to the balance. My nephew acted as my tester and tried out the paddle, he was in awe of its performance. I’d recommend you never try this paddle out unless your prepared to spend the premium price, because it’ll ruin you for any other paddle.

It's great except for the grip.

The paddle is solid with a large sweet spot Hits with good power and yet works well with dinks and resets. My only complaint is the ribbed grip, as opposed to a grooved grip I had the same problem with the Ben Johns CFS16 and sold it because of it. I will have to change it out to get a smoother handle with an overgrip. . . . I had been using an elongated Gearbox 14 and added weight and overgrips to it. It weighed 8.7 ounces, but feels lighter than this paddle at 8.4 ounces. But I ike that and it makes it feel like you are driving the ball with more power. So it's a good paddle but I will change the grip to a thin, non-ribbed grip and add an overgrip and it should be perfect.

Best Balanced Paddle

Best paddle I've used, this is my main paddle. Has a great balance of power and control, has a plush feel when hitting, great spin.

Amazing Paddle. But item seemed used

First off, this paddle is amazing to play with. Great feel, great spin, great power. Feels solid. Pro level. Having said that, when I opened the packaging I noticed that the face of the paddle on both sides showed signs of wear. It’s really unfortunate that someone would sell a product that as used and not be up front about it. That’s shady business if you ask me. At least sell it for a discount. Beware of used products. Next time I will doubt check the seller.

Loved it until it broke at 7 months

Favorite paddle but the edge guard and handle became unglued/broken 7 months in. Sounds like a common problem. No warranty after 6 months despite it being a seemingly common problem. I do hit hard.
