Portable stand

I love this portable stand. It makes watching shows so much easier on my phone. It is small and does not take up a lot of room in my pocket or backpack. It should hold most phone even with a case on them.

Perfect for what I need

This thing is perfect. It does exactly what it says. Its very sturdy and with my lightweight phone, it has no trouble. Its doesn't fall over or tip in the middle of recording as I had with some other, more expensive, brands. The only reason I am subtracting one star is because when I was putting the stick up the fit my phone, I slipped and it pinched me so hard that now (TW) there is a glob of blood waiting to burst at the top of my finger but that really comes from my misuse and isn't something you should be worried about. I also wish the prongs for the phone holder were longer to accommodate pop-sockets but no bigge as I can just scooch my phone to the side and even with this imbalance of weight, it still did not tip, nor was close to tipping. I also tried shaking it as hard as I can and I had to go full animal mode before it slipped out.

Works but not the strongest

I settled in this tripod mostly because the legs can wrap around things. It was far from the best mini tripod. It is light though. I like to hang it on my hammock ridge line and watch movies so for that it works well. My complaint is the legs move a little to easy so usually the tripod ends up in a wide spread stance when using it as a normal pod. The phone holder is just ok as well. It works but sometimes it can be fiddly. This really isn’t an issue with this brand as much is it is this design .

Came apart with very little use

Tripod screw mount came apart from the legs and will not go back together now. Continues to come apart. Broke with very little use and barely lasted a year. Update: I reached out to the company and sent them pictures of the camera stand. They were very accommodating and had a replacement sent out the same day. Great customer service!!

Tiny but SOLID

Can't recommend this strongly enough. * It's small, but big enough * It's not light, but light enough I've bought two. Carried the first one throughout Europe for years and then gave it away to a friend I met on the West Highland Way (Scotland). These are amazing devices you can carry easily.

Smaller Than You Think!

I received this product and never bothered to open it. I saw how small it was in the packaging. I'm sure it performs well, but I expected more for the amount you pay for a JOBY GorillaPod. I actually ended up getting a Ubeesize one that has all of the same features and is much larger for way cheaper. However, this JOBY GripTight One GorillaPod would be perfect if you're looking for something smaller and more portable. It just wasn't what I was looking for.

The media could not be loaded. I like this TriPod because it is very convenient and flexible!! Also it take Androids or IPhones The only Dislike is that the picture make this product look bigger then what it is, it is small.

Neat design, but ball head is rubbish

The phone holder is a really neat compact design, and works well. Holds my Samsung galaxy s10 in its case no problem. The tripod is the same versatile design as other Joby gorillapods, that makes it easy to set up anywhere, while being strong enough to support the intended loads (I.e. a smartphone or lightweight camera). However, the ball head on the top of the tripod is really frustrating. It's far too stiff, making it really difficult to adjust. The nature of the phone holder means you can't really get much leverage trying to use that to turn the ball head, and I don't want to break it by putting too much force through it. Not sure whether to try lubricating it or just wait a bit and hope it loosens with age. There's no way to adjust the stiffness. Was expecting better from Joby as they aren't one of those bargain basement brands, and I've been happy with other products in the past.

Not good for using iPhone 8 Plus in portrait mode

As a portable tripod using in landscape mode this works well. I have an iPhone 8 plus and found it’s not good for using in portrait mode as the weight sits to one side so you need to angle the legs to stop it falling over which can obscure the screen and means the phone is sat barely above the table top. I wanted to use this for filming or watching live streaming which is mainly portrait so I’ve returned the tripod. If you have a standard size phone it may be better as the weight may not tip it to one side.
