Great for beginners

My shoe size is 7.5 and I purchased 7. I used the chart in Jackson's website to know which one to buy (I also kew it was around the same size as the rentals). Im in Adult Basic 2 and these were godsend. I was using the rentals and now my feet are surrounded by a nice cloud of comfort. I do not do a lot of fancy jumps and turns yet but I am able to be on the ice for an hour.

Pay attention to the toe pick

I wanted to use these for recreation purposes. I wish I had paid more attention to the type of toe pick. It's in a downward motion which is not what I was in need of. Overall there is a ton of comfort and if you need this type of pick, I would recommend!

Great for Beginners!

The media could not be loaded. I'm an adult beginner (basic 2) figure skater and these fit the bill. Be sure to measure using the Jackson size chart - the sizing is not exactly the same a street shoe sizing. The support is great and I had no pain skating in them on day 1. They will need sharpened before you skate!

These are wide skates(Not Regular)

I love them!! My shoe size is 6 1/2(I'm not using wide size but my feets are a little wide) and I ordered 6 . These are perfect fits for me!!

The perfect ice skates! Highly recommend!

Very good! These skates are very high quality! They are genuine Jackson skates. I am a beginner and wanted something that will last. I have not tried skating on them yet but they seem like they will do great. I normally wear all size 7 shoes on the street and I ordered a size 6 women’s based on other people’s reviews and the sizing chart. I think I have a slightly wide foot but not too wide. I provided a picture of my foot with and without the shoes to compare size. My toes touch the front a little bit they are not crammed and my big toe has enough space to where it doesn’t really touch the front. My heel feels locked in place where there should not be extra movement. It does feel quite tight first time putting them on but based on what I read that’s normal, you don’t want them to be loose because then there’s no support. The material is very firm as well. Overall, great product!!! Recommend!

The skates fit perfectly on my feet and skating in them felt amazing. I got one size down from my regular shoe size and used the Jackson Ultima sizing guide to decide on a large width for my foot. Sometimes the skate may feel weird even if you fit in it and that is because you haven't broken them in yet. Some skaters can take three days to almost two weeks to completely feel comfortable in new skates. You can speed up this process by going to your local skate sharpener to get your skate heat molded. Make sure to sharpen them before skating with them or else you will fall down about a hundred times, (learned about this the hard way with my first skate). It is also essential to wipe down the blade after use as the water can cause rust to form on the metal of the blades if not well kept. Additionally, it is also wise to buy soakers that you can walk around with as any moisture you failed to wipe away will be soaked up in them, (hence the name soakers). Good quality soakers are usually around the ten dollar range and if you want to go the extra mile you can also buy hard skate guards for your skates. Overall the skates are amazing and I would not recommend any different kind of skates for beginners.

Beautiful skates!

Just received these skates and already sharpened the blades and wore them skating. They are tight and stiff but I expect they will mold to my feet pretty quickly. They seem to be durable, especially for my purposes as a beginner skater. The sizing was a little off from the sizing chart. I’m normally a 7 and ordered a 5 according to the chart. I had to exchange for a 5.5, which turned out to be perfect. My toes slightly touch the front of the shoe, but pull back when I bend my knees, which is apparently how you know if they are the correct size. They were comfortable to skate in despite not being broken in yet.

Amazing Skates - Excellent Value

Back on the ice at 52, these skates are really good value, however I did have to change the standard blades they came with as I am used to a Coronation Ace Blade, other than that they are ace.

Wow never had great skates like that

Nice padded insulation on the inside. Skated and they fitted better than expected. They are good quality seems hard but sit well and are very comfortable on ice.

Unos patines geniales

Estoy empezando a patinar sobre hielo y necesitaba unos patines que sujetasen muy bien los tobillos porque en la adolescencia tuve un esguince en el que perdí mucha flexibilidad. Pero estos patines cumplen con creces. Además el hecho de que tengan los laterales de la cuchilla pulidos ayuda muchísimo a frenar y a hacer impulsos con facilidad. Y se ajustan totalmente a mi talla de pies. Me alegro muchísimo de haberlos comprado.
