Good product, works well, and great price
I needed to install a home theater system in the basement. The walls are concrete so there was no way I could hide the wires behind the drywall. This was the best solution because I had a lot of wires that had to be routed to the projector, which was installed on the ceiling. Because it is split, it was easy to place all the wires. The non-split conduit forces you to thread all the wires from one end, and if you have wires with large "heads", such as a VGA cable, you may not be able to get it through, and it would take a lot of effort to get it through if you have a long run, such as I had. Once the wires were all laid in the conduit, I used black zip-ties to hold the conduit closed. Once the conduit was installed on the ceiling, you really cannot see that it is split. It is not "pretty", snaking across the ceiling and the walls, but it is better than having a whole bunch of wire dangling on nails or hooks. I am not sure where it was shipped from, but it did take over a week to get to me. Not a big deal, since I did not mind waiting. One caveat, the 3/4" brackets "Install Bay BCC34 3/4-Inch Cable Clamp, Black (100-Pack)" by the same company will NOT hold this conduit. See my review of that item for details. Even without clamping the ends of the bracket together, this conduit will not fit inside. I ended up getting plastic "U" brackets from my local home improvement store which worked a lot better. Overall, this is good product, at a reasonable price.

Used to protect wiring from naughty cats
This may not be the conventional usage for this product, but... Our cats are OBSESSED with chewing wires, and I cannot tell you how much money I've spent replacing cords and cables at Radio Shack. "Hmm, why isn't the internet router working? Oh, the wire was gnawed in half." One day, after being in so frequently, an employee showed me these tubes and made a suggestion. I'm telling you, the man is a genius. The cats still chew the tubing, but it's easier, cheaper, and safer to deal with than the wires. We ordered it on Amazon because it was great to buy it in quantities larger than 5 feet or so, and the price was more economical. The reason this tubing did not receive 5 stars from me is because it the plastic is a little more thin than we were hoping for, so we have to replace the tubing more frequently. Also, once it's been chewed on, it falls off the wires/cables. Maybe we had a thinner tube before (like 1/2 inch), but I'm pretty sure this was the right size. Anyway, for my purposes, this tubing works and I don't care if I have to replace it so long as my cats and I don't get electrocuted.

More for less...buy online.
Does what I need...just wanted to consolidate the cables behind my home theater. I recently went to a big box home store to buy some as I did a few years ago. I needed some after rearranging my den. All they had was white loom. So I'm glad I went to amazon for this purchase. More for less cash...I'll never use all of this but I suppose I can give it to friends in exchange for favors, goodwill, etc. Recently, I had the cable company over to check some things and he complemented me on the organization of my cables. Lastly, I read some reviews about rabbits and cats eating through cables...well, I think that is unfair..I don't recall the product boasting about being tough enough for the curiosity and vengeance of animals. Like, a rabbit could probably chew a garden hose...does some really want material tougher than a garden hose ...if you have terrible pets I guess. Well, I'm rambling...gotta go.

they do a good job of protecting my wires
It takes some effort putting these on, but once on, they do a good job of protecting my wires. My jerk cat decided to chew through a cord on my brand new lamp, tripping my breaker and putting all of us in the dark for a short bit, which prompted me to buy these (the cat is fine, by the way). I put these on and he chews the hell out of them, but nothing is damaged on the cords that I can see. I spray him with water like crazy, but when the people are away, the cat will play and there's nothing I can do. I will say, these are a little large, but they're effective so I don't really care if they look a little unattractive. I kind of feel like I'm in a sci-fi movie.

Suicidal cat prevention
It helps prevent my cat from becoming suicidal. I had the unfortunate experience of having a cat chew on electrical cords, thus causing severe burns in and around her mouth. Fortunately she did not accidentally kill herself with this little experiment! Having to force feed a cat for a month while the burns healed was an unpleasant experience for both of us, plus I never did find which cords she decided to taste. So, I purchased this to prevent any future chewing. So far, they have worked wonderfully! I have had them on all of the cords in my house for a year, with no more electrocution attempts...hopefully we will never have to deal with cord chewing again!

Cord chomping cat deterrant
I bought this Install Bay Split Loom Tube in three sizes on Amazon to use as cord protector from a cat that has decided to try and kill himself by chomping on power cords. He killed a desktop computer power supply most recently which sent us searching for an option. This has definitely helped. I am not sure if anything will truly deter this cat, but we have not found anything chewed through since installing it on the cords in the house.

Loom Tube
I have a kitten that loves to chew hence the 100 feet of loom tube. I shopped around and this was the best price. It's not terribly thick but if you feel the need you can actually just wrap it twice around your cord. It's flexible which was a must for my configuration. All in all I don't think you can beat the price. Shipping was super fast, no problems with this order at all. I do recommend this product. I bumped it a star because it is on the thin side.
