Solid piece of equipment and a great addition to any bike.
I may have done more research than should be expected on a water bottle cage. Ultimately when I hit that "Place order" button, I knew I was getting a quality product, as many of the other reviews have mentioned. It held a full 22-oz. water bottle snug without making it difficult to remove for a quick drink while riding. While secure, a water bottle may pop out of the cage when hitting an unexpected bump in the road; like mine did. The cage being mounted in the vertical position, right underneath the bike seat may have contributed to the water bottle being freed while riding on a stretch of poorly maintained city road. The sudden jolt may have caused the bottle to shift straight up, and with the lack of grooves on the bottle, the cage did not have a tight enough grip of the bottle as it shifted up. Looking back, I figured that if the water bottle cage had a kung-fu grip, then I would be fighting to get a drink instead of putting my energy and concentration into riding. If it's important, I did not experience any paint from the cage rubbing off onto the bottle during my use. It is a solid piece of equipment and a great addition to any bike. One last note: I found that the dip or area where the head of the bolt goes "into" so that the head of the bolt does not rub against the bottle is a bit on the shallow side. If it was a bit deeper, than I would be able to utilize the longer bolts that the bike came with, which also has longer bolt heads.

A Major Upgrade to My Ride
For many years, I've been amused by even amateur bicyclists' obsession with weight. (I've always been tolerant of dopers who buy at the drugstore the strength and endurance with which God didn't endow them.) In my amusement, I've wondered how much of a penalty my old tubular aluminum water bottle frame was. From time to time, I'd thought of going to carbon fiber or titanium, but thought that by limiting the amount of water to what I was most likely to drink I'd be doing more to reduce unnecessary weight than a new water bottle frame would. I'd certainly thought of distilling out the deuterium and tritium oxides to get the water lighter, but feared that the government would come after me thinking that I was trying to make an H-bomb in my basement. I'd thought of buying one of those new, aerodynamic frames with companion bottles that reduce drag with their streamlined shapes, but thought that the turbulence caused by my legs furiously pumping would obscure any benefit. Instead, I bought this. It is dramatically lighter than the old one. I believe that it will not make much difference. It is also white which is the color scheme on my bike. That makes me happy. Having used it for a few weeks, the principle benefit that I see is that it holds and releases my water bottle better than the tubular aluminum one I removed. I'd recommend it to a friend, but they all know that I'm a dufus.

Stylish bottle cage
Just what I wanted to make my white road bike look just a bit more finished. Just the right size for my water bottles to keep them secure and still easy to remove.

Scrapes up bottle, but secure
It does scratch up my camelback squeeze water bottle, but because of the color its not that noticeable, but you can definitely feel its roughed up. It does, however, hold onto the bottle very securely and has held up. I'd probably buy again, but knowingly not use a bottle that would show scrapes easily or that i didn't want "used"

Looks good, light, never drops a bottle
Good stuff. Recommended.

Sturdy Lightweight Cage
I put a pair of these on the seat post mount behind my seat on an aero tri-bike. They match the color scheme perfectly, and the lightweight aero styling makes it look like they came with the bike. I spend several hours in the saddle on non-stop rides for triathlon training, so I carry a lot of liquids. I have pulled and replaced bottles from these cages repeatedly. The shape and rigid construction helps me guide the bottle into the carrier...in the blind since they are behind my back. They show no signs of wear. I can feel when the bottle is seated and it takes quite a tug to get one out, so I can't imagine a bottle falling out...at least not on a road bike. I pass through several villages with cobblestone streets in the town center (currently reside in Europe), and have never lost anything...a piece of a tooth, but that's not Ibera's fault.

Great cage for the price, bought in white
I was a beginning cyclist when I bought this last year (i still am a beginner) so I don't really have much to compare this against but I have to say this cage gave me the most bang for the buck. Sure it's not as fancy as those other high-end, super-light, carbon fiber models but it's light enough and gets the job done by keeping my Camelback Podium Big Chill 25 oz bottle in one place. I've never had to worry about my bottle flying off while I'm dodging potholes and such during my daily commute. I'm very satisfied with the quality of the product for the price. If I had to decide if I should buy this again, I would. update: 5/7/2012 Bought another bottle cage a couple of weeks ago. The old one is still sturdy but is showing signs of cosmetic wear. I now have two bottle cages for those long weekend rides and my bike looks uber-pro. They match my paint job really well. Highly recommended.

Quality Lightweight Cage That Does A Simple Job Well.
I have been after a bottle cage that looks nice and more importantly would fit my wife's 16" Hybrid ladies bike as the frame style on these bikes leave little space to spare. The quality of this bottle cage is superb and it really is very light in weight. I only purchased it for use with a smaller 591ml bottle and the fit is perfect, you could ride the bike off a cliff and the bottle wouldn't come out. The image attached is the cage fitted to my wife's bike, the bottle doesn't come with it. In all this is an inexpensive water cages that does a simple job well.

Decent
Acceptable quality. Did not fit my bottles as some of them kept getting close to falling out. Make sure your bottle is actually compatible before purchasing.
