Quality
Someone mentioned these grommet type fittings always end up leaking. I spent 15 years running a 300 gal saltwater tank. These wont leak even if you wiggle or bump them, they are tight. The bucket is tight and forces air through the medium. Cons: If you run air through the viewing tube, you can not tell how much water is in the bucket because the air pushes it back. Do yourself a favor and drill an airline hole above the water line with 1/4 rubber grommet, and drop a 2 inch air stone in it. It works without an air stone, but it will sound like an 8 cylinder engine idling and glugging. If you want a true effervescent spa that can be easily drained and checked.. drill a new hole for an air stone. The included pump can handle x8, 2 inch stones. Works great with washed lava rock, its so fizzy it will mist your glasses from a couple feet away and you wont even realize it. Pros: sturdy buckets, hoses, and connectors. The net pot lid is and exceptionally tough material that fits air tight. The air pump delivers the perfect amount of air for stones or raw bubbles.

Good product but troublesome method
I wanted to try this system due to the aqua method rave. Product was simple to assemble, sturdy with no leaks and operated very well. However if you choose this method, know that you must change out the water around every 2 weeks or the plants will die. Note, 5 gallons x 8 buckets = 40 gallons x 2 per month = 80 gallons a month! Also, depending on the location you set this product, hauling the water can get cumbersome and annoying. If all the buckets had a hose that connected to each other than to a filter system (like a fish tank), I believe the product would operate better and the plants would be healthier.

Great DWC system for hydroponics
This is a nice system that utilizes a single air pump with 4 outlets to serve 4 DWC (Deep Water Culture) buckets. You will need to provide sprouted seeds with roots, and some kind of medium such as clay pellets. It is also useful to have a power strip with a timer function as well as an appropriate grow light. While I do like this system, you have to manage the chemistry in each bucket. I am going to upgrade to and RDWC (Recirculating DWC) so I only have to sample from 1 bucket to manage the chemistry for four.

Great set with a slight modification
Great system for my first grow op. I did find it difficult to access the water to check level and pH once the plants became larger, but resolved the issue by adding some cooler spigots to the buckets at the level I felt was my preferred water height. Obtaining samples for pH was then a breeze and I could tell how much water was in the bucket by whether it reached my spigot. I bought the four bucket setup but then could only fit two in my tent. Having an extra pair of buckets ended up making changing the water way easier. I plugged the two extra air outlets with a piece of the hose and a “goof plug” I had from my garden sprinkler system, giving me turbo bubbles in the two buckets. The same objective could be achieved by tying off a piece of hose I expect. While I’m sure one could put this kit together for less it was a good value for me as a first time grower.

Great DWC setup!
I love how no air stone is needed! This is so brilliant! It's called flooming, and an air stone is a nasty host for unwanted biological growth like bacteria.. The only thing I don't like is that there is no easy way to drain entire bucket unless it is on raised platform. What I did was drill a hole on each of the nets to allow me to use a battery powered siphon to get it out without ever having to remove plant from bucket or moving bucket. This is really needed if a scrog setup is desired like in picture.

A great addition to my indoor garden
I’ve had them for about 5 weeks. They seem to work well. Was missing one small grommet for one of the 8 buckets when it arrived but called customer service who shipped me out a replacement without any problems. The air pump seems to be appropriate. I am using a single component feed with the aerogarden nutrient solution with these buckets.

A good DWH system
I thought there were more buckets than I wanted but I have managed to fill them up with different vegetables like tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, okra (not a lover of hydroponics) and eggplants all of which I would like to grow in the winter months. So far it is in the experimental stage. No leaks. Pump set on low is good enough and set on tiles keeps the vibration down. I have also set my timer to half an hour on and half hour off. In the dead of night I set it off for a two to three hours. A similar 4 hole pump Is useful when you need to reduce the buckets to 4 plants. Any airlines that are not set in its own bucket can be redirected into an already set up one by just pushing it through the net holes.

Very impressed with the quality of product
I was hesitant at first about ordering after reading some of the reviews but I must say, this product is very high quality everything was in there that was advertised and nothing was broken or missing from the order I am completely satisfied with this order it will most definitely be ordering from this company again in the future

Good for the cost
It was missing some parts for one bucket, but I bought these with the plan to only use and modify 5 buckets into a rdwc system. I had bought a different 4 bucket system awhile back that cost a bit less then this 8 bucket system so I'm comparing to it somewhat. I don't like the fact that the hole for the air tubes are uni seal rubbers and not bulkheads. The buckets are not as thick as my other buckets I bought, but seem sufficient and worth it for the cost. Also there are no air stones or clay pellet medium with these. It's got a rather large air pump, but I have not yet tried it.

Save your money and buy a better quality system.
Only 4 buckets with a 4 value pump (that was broken) was what was delivered. Called Amazon and informed them, when I wished I just sent it back. These type of buckets seems to leak, even after changing the seals. The way they are drilled is very sloppy.

Ok to start with.
Great way to get started in DWC with some caveats. It comes with a very small airpump that is somewhat inefficient and I would recommend getting a better one. It also uses clear tubing which could promote algae or other growth in the reservoir so you'd need tinted or black tubing.
