Great lid, but needs something to limit tightening of the top lid

My 32oz hydroflask is my favorite water bottle, and it has been for a few years now. But, I've had a lot of issues with the lids. I've tried a lot, but none have been able to limit water flow so none spills out, limit space above the mouth so ice doesn't slide down and cause a splash, have the drinking surface be protected by the lid while not in use so my mouth doesn't touch whatever junk was on the subway seat the bottle rubbed up against earlier in the day, and be easily cleanable. This lid does all of that. I was super happy when I bought it, as it seemed like the perfect lid. There's one issue that I recently noticed though that's making me apprehensive about continuing to use it. The top lid has nothing in place to prevent over-tightening. I just learned that this can damage the internal threads, causing the rubber of the cap to fray off and fall into the water, which I've inevitably drank up at some point. I don't want to risk continuing to drink chunks of rubber, so I'm switching to a different lid. I think that this could be easily fixed by putting a manual stopper of some sort which could limit tightening.

Hydroflask Lid

This lid works very well for my HydroFlask. You twist the opening towards you and the water flows; you twist the opening towards the strap on the side, and the water doesn’t flow. If you have a carbonated beverage inside, twisting closed seals the lid and keeps the carbonation pressurized. The lid can be easily disassembled for cleaning. The issues that have are that when you have said carbonated beverage inside and you twist the lid open, the liquid can spray out. (Be careful of flask orientation when opening). Also, if you twist the lid to close, then later twist to open again, it appears some liquid is kept between the twisting and stationary portions of the lid and will dribble down your chin or the side of your face when you drink.

Perfect for my wide mouth hydro flask!

I had recently purchased a hydro flask because my old ones got too banged up. It came with the average twist off lid and I wanted a lid that I could drink out of with having to take it off every time. I had seen these before and after reading reviews and descriptions I purchased it hoping it would fit my bottle. It fits my wide mouth hydro flask perfectly! It is very easy to pull the mouth piece up and push it back down. I also really like how it has the flex strap because I find it easier to hold. The straw is very sturdy and does not fall out even when there is ice in the bottle. It is also fairly easy to clean and re assemble. The only con about this kid is that it does leak a bit but only from the mouth piece. I have noticed a few times that it has gotten knocked over while the mouth piece is still up and my water ends up spilling. it doesn’t happen very frequently. I honestly kind of expected that to happy though because it is the part where the water is supposed to come out of.

Love this lid

My hydro flask originally came with the lid without the straw. However, I prefer the straw so I came onto Amazon to order it. I was pretty pleased with the price! I was expecting it to be pretty pricey because I feel like hydro flask products are normally on the pricier side, but it was very reasonable. I also feel like it prompts me to drink more water for some reason LOL

Colorful and Helpful for Drinking Tea

The company I work for gives us Hydro Flasks and I have never used them because of the tops, but when I found this colorful top, I began using mine! I first got an off brand sipping one, but when I use it, I got hot tea on my nose! This one is perfect for sipping my tea while commuting! It's nice flat top has no issues with touching my nose. I also love the twist top style. It's not difficult to clean, you untwist everything, but it is harder on my arthritic hands (not the fault of the design or company). I've included pictures of it taken apart and you can see numbers on it to help you screw it back together after cleaning! I am happy that I can clean it throughly!

Perfect when all the way opened or closed

I like this lid because of the large strap. It is super easy to carry in and out of work with gloves on during the winter. My only complaint is that, if you try to take a drink while the drinking tip isn't absolutely 100% open, it pulls in a ton of air. The old straw lid (with the finger loop) was much better about this. Overall, a great insulated lid with a positive "click" to let you know it's closed and sealed up.

Occasionally it Leaks or Won’t Let Alny Water Out

PRICE At £14 this lid is expensive - I’ve bought decent water bottles for that price; however, my partner and I had already committed to buying the Hydroflask ~1L and were so impressed by it that I even went and bought a 1.9L bottle too. I got two of these lids, with the intention of swapping mine as and when depending on the bottle I’m using, and am fairly impressed. EASE OF USE These lids are definitely easier to use on the smaller wide mouth bottles as you are taking the whole weight of the bottle mainly on your wrist when you drink from it. I work in a bar so am used to flipping large bottles over with my wrist alone and still occasionally need to use two hands to support my 1.9L. That being said it is doable and becomes comfortable after time. LEAK PROOFING When we first received these lids, I got drenched every time I tried to take a drink and my partner could not get any water to come out of hers. I’ve kind of figured out the best way to fit the lid but with no real instruction on the packaging it was very trial and error. It would seem that if you screw the lid on too tight nothing will come out and obviously if you don’t screw it on tight enough it will leak. Also when drinking be careful not to tip the bottle too far or it will leak from the air inlet hole. That being said when the lid is in the closed position nothing’s getting out of it so I can carry it around in my bag with my laptop etc without any worries. CLEANING The lid has a rubber gasket on the inside and breaks down into three parts. This makes it very easy and convenient to clean.

Good but can be dangerous

It’s a very high quality and durable lid… But I think this should be sold with a cleaner brush. I was using it for a couple of days until I realised that the mouth part had some kind of mould growing in it. I thought I was doing a good job at washing it with soap and boiling water but turns out do you need a straw cleaner to get it cleaned properly!

Works quite well and does not leak

Very tight fit so it does not leak regardless of the bottle position (when closed top bit of course). Easy to sip from. Only have to remember to sip from it in upright position as I naturally tend to lift the bottle as I would when drinking from the top with no lid. Very easy to use and comfortable. Helping me drink more. Very sturdy.

This lid for my Hydro Flask is perfect, it stops stuff falling out the flask day in, day out. However, and this is the clever bit, it unscrews effortlessly when you actually want stuff (I recommend hot Vimto) to come out if you're feeling in need a liquid refreshment. How do they do it for the money???

100% leak proof, fits my 1l Simple Modern bottle

use my bottle all day for a good few years now so the mouthpiece was getting a bit grubby despite my scrubbing. Bit more expensive than dropship type items but definitely worth the price. Thought the mouthpiece might've had a soft/silicon bit but that was just my misunderstanding. The red silicon seal on this one is sooo good, the SM one never had a perfect seal where the straw folds down and has only gottten worse with age, but this one is 100% leak proof, shook is around upside down over the sink and not a single drop. Prefer the shape of the handle of this one too, still feels sturdy
