Does not meet specs. Chinese made junk. No better than chucks half the price.
This chuck is junk! The advertised specs are absolute lies. It is marked "zjyuanpai.com" on the front face of the chuck. The through hold on the 5C collet was undersize, so a piece of precision ground 0.750" drill rod could not slide through, despite it being advertised as having 0.75" through hole on the collet. The collet threads are badly machined, so it doesn't go smoothly into the collet nut on my lathe. But I saved the worst for last. You can find tons of 3-jaw 5C collet chucks all over every shopping site for a range of prices. This one is substantially more - and it claims to have 0.001 TIR. That is a complete lie. I mounted a piece of precision drill rod in the jaws and got 0.005 of runout a half inch from the laws and the same 2 inches from the jaws. Yes, I had made sure the jaws were correctly installed in the right locations and no chips were in there. I tried the other set of jaws.... same result. All this company is doing is taking the SAME chucks you can buy for half the price from the same Chinese manufacturers which are advertised to have 0.005" of TIR, and they are doubling the price and claiming them to have 0.001" of TIR, perhaps hoping people aren't equipped to check. And to verify it's the chuck - that same piece of 0.750" drill rod mounted right in a Hardinge 5C collet in the same collet closer this 5C chuck was mounted on on the same lathe right after removing this chuck showed 0.0002" of runout using a Mitutoyo dial indicator that was recently calibrated. So... it's the chuck. It's junk.

great item
no dislikes it is a good quality for the cost some of the reviews state that it has tremendous amount of run out I swapped to the od jaws and I have .0015 run out way more precise than the parts require even though the description says .03 mine has the accuracy of the more pricy ones I recommend it to others and I am a machine shop owner

Good value for the price
Good value for the price. Was afraid of what the TIR would be - .004 even with a 3J to 5C collet adapter. Very pleasantly surprised. Well packaged also.
