Must have for pull ups and dips
I wanted my own belt so I didn't have to use the gross gym one that you can never find. Works great and easy to use. I've done 25 lb plates and 35 lb plates and plenty of room with the chain and your legs. I wouldn't do a 45lb plate, I would stick with 35lb and do a 10lb plate with it to keep the clearance. Chain seems sturdy, I loop and clip it back through for storage and leave in my car trunk organizer.

Great quality and built to last
I purchased this Weight Dip belt so that I could add to the difficulty in performing pullups, chin-ups, and dips. Adding weight is an easy way to greatly increase the difficulty and results from body exercises. I have been stuck at being able to perform about 15 pull ups for a long time despite work on a rowing machine and lat pull downs machines. Every time I hop up expecting to do a couple extra pull ups but end with the same result. After a few weeks of doing pull-ups with an extra 25 lbs of weight strapped to me, I can know hit close to 20 pull ups without weight. This belt is a quality made belt that is comfortable to wear. To use it you throw the belt around you then run the chain from one side through the second loop. You then run the chain through the hole in a plate and clip it back to wear you started. The weight sits comfortably below your crotch and between your knees. This belt will be the only one you will ever need to buy unless of course you somehow loose it. I did not receive any discounts or free products for providing this review of Harbinger's dip belt. The belt was simply high quality and a great product. If this is an item you are looking for it will be exactly what you want and you want need to search for a better one in the future. Great quality.

3 stars for 1 reason
Love the belt, reasonable price, feels good when wearing and with weight attached, can hold all the weight I need without trapping any of my body parts. ONLY complaint and its a big very annoying one and that the carabiner is WAY too SMALL!!! I will be buying a new one to attach to the belt because the original is that bad and annoying to deal with as it makes attaching and detaching a pain every time!

Great for professional use, not ideal for home...
Two out of the three gyms that I pay to use have this Harbinger belt. The other gym has the Grizzly. I find them equally excellent. They both have a 30 inch heavy duty chain which is plenty strong and long enough to wrap two times around dumbells. I have a 32 inch waist. But for home use I'd probably reconsider my decision for this belt because: 1) the chain is noisy 2) you have to take it off after every use (I do chins while making breakfast and don't want to have to keep putting it on and off) 3) the clasp is too large to go through the hole on my home weights So for home I'd probably get something like the "Dark Iron Fitness Leather Weight Lifting Dip Belt with Chain for Dips and Pull Ups". I'm not sure if its strap would get through the small hole on my weights but it would solve the issue of being noisy and you wouldn't have to take it off after every set.

Comfortable and strong
I bought this belt to use for weighted dips and pull ups and so far it has been amazing. It is very comfortable, the fabric is soft but sturdy. The chain feels strong and for the price it doesn't seem cheaply made at all. Granted I haven't used an insane amount of test weight. So far, I've used 27.5 pounds at most for pull ups. It does feel a little big when you attach it but once the weight is on it hugs your frame nicely and stays on easily. I've used it at least a dozen times so far and am loving the ease of it. I highly recommend if you need to take your pull ups/dips to the next level. Update: now that I've had the product for over 1 year I wanted to add a quick update. The belt is still going strong. I was able to add a 45lb plate and it didn't buckle at all. It's lasted at least 120 sessions since I use it twice a week and it feels the exact same as when I bought it.

Decent for the casual user
This dipping belt is not the worst nor the greatest I've ever used. I ordered this because it had great reviews and quite frankly, I'm on a tight budget. So for the price and the praise it seemed like the ideal choice, needless to say I was mistaken. This belt would be an ideal choice for a casual user but for an advanced user that requires HEAVY weights and more advanced exercises this is a bad choice. First of all, the belt's chain is too short. Sure, you can change the chain but why invest more money on it? Might as well buy a better belt with a longer chain. Since the chain is short, loading bigger plates than 35 lbs. is not ideal. 45 lbs. plates are a tad too big for the chain, so what happens is your "manhood" wont have enough breathing room. One wrong move and your "manhood" will be pinched. Yikes, wouldn't want that to happen would we? Second of all, the chain it brings WILL NOT hold 150 lbs. I loaded 150 lbs. on it to do Hip Belt Squats and the chain ended up snapping. Speaking of hip belt squats, this belt is not comfortable at all for this exercise. The material this belt is made from is not sturdy enough when you load heavy weight on it. It bends and digs into your hips, making the hip belt squat exercise a painful experience. It will leave bruises! Another thing that will be an inconvenience is the belts size. It's supposedly one size fits all, but that is not accurate at all. For those of us blessed/cursed with a small waist (28"-30") using this belt will be a hassle. If you don't double loop the chain it will slide right off your body, and since the chain is short as it is, double looping it further decreases the chain length. Your best bet will be using it with a loading pin and a carabiner. Overall I think this is a good beginner belt for those that wont load up on much weight and will only stick to weighted dips and chinups/pullups. If you're thinking about using it for squatting and more advanced exercises forget about it. With that said, I highly recommend the "IronMind® De Rigueur Dipping Belt(tm)" or the IronMind® SUPER SQUATS® Hip Belt. Do a quick google search and check those out for yourselves. They are very expensive but well worth the money. sturdy and comfortable. The dipping belt which is the lightest is said to be able to hold 1000 lbs.! Utter overkill but you get the picture. Thanks for reading and hope this review helps.

Used for belt squats, left with bruised hips.
I bought this to use it for belt squats. It's a nice belt and everything seems solid but it left me with bruises on both hips. The chain rubs against the tendons in my groin on the way down as well. I've only used it for belt squats once so maybe I'll add some foam to it or something before my next workout. If you're plan is to only use it for dips and pull ups, you'll be fine. It's the squatting motion (which it shows in one of the photos) that bites into your hips and leaves you bruised. I also have very little body fat so my hip bones are pretty superficial and that may be adding to the discomfort. It does keep the pressure off of your back though. It is a well made product but I don't think it's ideal for belt squats.

Get it!
Great quality, had it for a while now, no fear of it breaking even whilst holding 80+kg. Very happy

Good Quality for the Price
This product is built very well, the price is definitely worth it. My only concern about this product is the rings that connect to the belt. They will eventually pry apart if you lift with heavy loads... I had 135 Pounds handing on the belt and I noticed them slowly prying open. This is not a major concern but it should be something to consider. The chain and the carabiner that came with this belt has still held up very well. I would still recommend this product if your looking for your first weight belt or if your just wanting to add Dips and Pullups as an Accessory movements to your workouts.

Perfect for weighted dips/pullups.
I've been using this for more than a year to do weighted dips and pullups. No problems at all, and no wear to speak of. I've always kept loading under 75 lbs though. If your waist is under 28 inches, the belt may be too small for you (my wife can only just use it). I've got a 33 inch waist and it's no problem.

I have 12 of those for my classes
I've been using these belts in Calisthenics classes for 3 years now. I have 12 of those. Pretty much every model they sell. You can see the difference in chains colors in the second picture. If I have so many of them, over 3 years, it's because they're extremely reliable and comfortable. I've attached up to 200lbs on them. None of them have broken parts or anything. I have students use them on classes about 3x per week. So they're being abused.. I can only recommend these 5 out of 5. The chain color isn't worth the higher price honestly. Over time, it will lose its coating anyway as seen in the 3rd pic.
