Not much difference

For $130, I was hoping this dog shower hose would provide more benefits, but it seems pretty redundant to use with my existing shower handle.

Helpful for long-hair

This handheld shower gives a certain water pressure that helps penetrate through my dog's thick coat. It also helps comb through the shampoo to spread it evenly without excessive shampoo use. The targeted spray is a push button that needs holding down. I find this a bit inconvenient to take up a push button especially with cleaning paws because my dog isn't always compliant when it comes to his paws. Installation isn't too difficult, but it would be nice to have an additional mounting bracket to hold the pet shower head.

Effective Dog Washer!

I take my 2-year-old Standard Poodle to the dog park every day, so he can romp around off-leash, often in mud and water. When we get home, I need to bathe him. I've been searching for the best way to get him into the shower stall and clean him up as quickly and comfortably as possible. I got this shower set from Hansgrohe, and have been using it for several weeks. It works pretty well. INSTALLATION The package arrives with all parts well-protected. I had everything out and ready to install in 3 minutes. The instructions are good enough. It took about 15 minutes for the full installation -- gathering the needed tools, actually installing the handshower, then cleaning up. Take your time following the directions, as a couple of the parts are not intuitive just looking at them. But the instructions will get you through it successfully. OPERATION Prior to this, I had a less-expensive washer, with a flexible metal hose. I liked the hose in my previous shower, but that older one did not have good water output. With this one from Hansgrohe, the water output is better -- a nice, wide shower effect, which allows me to cover a good area of my dog's fur. But the hose is very stiff. I had hoped it would loosen a bit after some use, but it has not. It's not so much a problem while bathing, but between uses the stiff hose makes it a bit awkward to wrap this up and out of the way. A button on the head lets you quickly switch to a stronger spray. The button does not have a "lock" position, so you have to keep pressing it to maintain the stronger spray. It's in a natural spot on the shower head, so this works well. This handshower works really well for either quick rinsing, or for full shampoo sessions. The stronger spray is effective, even when my Poodle is overgrown. The spray is also very gentle, which my dog appreciates. The mechanism for diverting the water to this shower head is easy -- just pull a cylinder out to turn on the handshower. Push it back in to return to your normal shower. CONCLUSION This is an easy-to-use shower head that will make quick or extensive dog-bathing easier. I recommend it.

pretty good design

I like the design of the shower head portion. It features just three modes and switching is simple. I have done weekly dog baths over the course of a month for my pup and no issues to report, so far. I already had an extra shower hose and head attached to my shower, so I did not need to use the included hose and valve. Honestly, the included hose and valve are not great compared to the ones I already have installed; for example, the hose is more rigid than I would like. The shower head is plastic with an array of nubs where the water comes out. It feels like a sturdy plastic. I was hoping that the water coming out of the nubs and removing more soap would make my dog less itchy after his bath, but I am not sure if it did. That is not to say the shower head was not effective, just that probably something else is causing him to itch after his baths. I would recommend this product if you can get it on sale. It works well for rinsing your dog, but the price is a bit steep for what it is.

Nice Product

This Hansgrohe bathing attachment is a welcome addition to our dog's semi-monthly bathing ritual. It came nicely packaged and it easily attached to our shower head. The most beneficial feature of the unit is the soft bristle head that gently grooms your pup while releasing unwanted hair that normally shows up everywhere in the house. As with most shower head attachments the coupler that attached to the shower head feels a little cheap, but much better than other products of similar use. This is passible considering how infrequently I will be using it thereby not having to worry about over turning or stripping the threads. The various pressure and spray features is nice, unfortunately my house has moderate water pressure so I cannot fully benefit from some of the features. All in all the product is certainly of a higher quality which you would hope at this price point and I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a quality dog bathing tool.

Nice Shower Option for Washing Dogs - Decent Set up

We have 3 Dogs that seem to always get into the mud or roll in the grass. So we do bathe them about once a month. This hansgrohe DogShower works well - it connects to a standard shower set up via the provided quick connect adapter. It provides a convenient and easy set up for bathing ours dogs and even our cat. Makes it much easier than using a cup to give them a bath. Plus it has handy features to scrub them or rinse their paws. The quality is OK both for the adapters and handle, not as high as hansgrohe premium quality but works ok for my pets. Works great and makes it a much easier job!

Hose is cheap looking and the actual shower head is a bit cheap/plasticky feeling

It's super easy to install and can use an existing diverter if you already have one. The quick disconnect is nice so it doesn't need to be left in the shower when not in use (since it doesn't include any sort of mounting to hold the shower head). It's also nice because the hose is kinda weird and cheap looking and is a shiny silver color, even with the matte black finish on the shower head. Shower head feels like a cheap plastic, but as long as it's durable I don't really care. Probably won't make your dog love showers if they don't already, but does make it easier and quicker.
