Well built, but not small enough for younger lambs

Fits my 13 month old Katahdin Ram very well. My 11 month old ram lamb is a little too small even in the smallest setting. It needs a couple more grommets on each side to get a bit smaller. I was hoping it would fit my younger lambs, but no chance!

Poor quality

Prompt delivery and it does fit my Ewe. But for the price. Sadly some of the thin metal grommets came out right away and the fabric began to unravel within minutes. The buckles are bulky and cheap metal, not smooth & sturdy as I would want for a wool animal & at this price. Looked much nicer in the pic. Still looking for a good one if anyone knows a good brand. Thanks!

Sturdy!

Fits my 10-week old lamb if you tighten every buckle to the smallest holes, but he'll grow into it! Would fit adult sheep perfectly. Very sturdy and well made, heavy buckles. NOTE: This version is the halter only, where you can detach your own lead rope as needed. Hamilton also makes a version with a lead rope that is permanently attached and tightens under the lower jaw of the animal if it pulls. Both are nice, just a matter of preference.

Great fit for my ewes

What an excellent halter! It adjust around the head and under the chin just as it is described. The halter is sturdy and attractive. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a well-made sheep halter.

Hamilton 3/4" Sheep Halter - BEAUTIFUL!

BEAUTIFUL color - I would call it "berry" it looks gorgeous in our Katahdin ewe - she is a reddish camel color. The fit is perfect!!!

Too small for older lambs.

I gave this 4 stars b/c it is a well made sturdy product but it did not fit my 9 month old ram lamb. He is a hair breed so it should have fit w/o any wool to interfere with fit.

Excellent quality sheep halters but did not fit even my smallest ewe's head

I bought two. Very high quality halters but probably best for lambs, as they fit none of my 2 year old sheep. Not even my smallest ewe's head. Guess it is best to buy these things from real stores which allow you to try and return if not the right fit.
