No hardware included makes for a crappy product
The overall product is alright, I painted mine easily and they hold my sheet-thin wall hanging well. The major problem with this product is that there was NO hardware included at all. The keyhole on the back where a screw should slot in is much smaller than the head of any standard sized screw, so nothing in my entire workshop would fit. I ended up having to use picture hanging tacks, it holds it up but the slightest bump and it falls off onto the floor. WHY would you sell something with a very non-standard sized hole without providing the specialty sized screws needed to install this on the wall?? What am I supposed to do, go to the store just to get two friggin tiny headed screws? Perfect activity during a pandemic when I'm supposed to be ordering crap online to avoid DYING. This all made actually using these things a huge, massive pain in the butt, and then I'm going to HAVE to go get four tiny headed screws (I bought two sets of these things) just to make sure my stuff actually sits on the wall correctly. I would give this a much better review, but the missing hardware royally screwed the pooch and made these almost worthless.

Look great but difficult to hang
Painted white they look great. There is a rather difficult technique to insert the quilt into the hanger. The little ball tends to slide up as you try to insert the quilt. But once you can get them to “grab”, they work well and look better than the spring loaded clips.

Excellent! Did the job perfectly.
I was leery about purchasing this item due to some of the reviews. I am so glad I did buy it! It was much sturdier than I expected and I did not have any issues like the other reviewers have noted. I stained them easily, with no prior sanding. They hung a small wall hanging with no issues at all whatsoever and really work exactly as described. I think the problems the other reviewers have had is that they tried to hang something much to big for this size hanger. You would not want to try and hang a wall hanging that is much larger than say 30" x 30". If the batting used is also a thick, heavy batting, that will make the item weigh more. This is made for smaller items. Possibly could go up to a 50" wall hanging if it is not quilted thickly and batting is loose. Otherwise, excellent product and if you have a larger quilt to hang, buy bigger clips.

Works as advertised.
I used these to hang a rug I purchased in the Middle East. At first, I thought I made a mistake, because the rug was too heavy (2' x 3'). It works by a marble catching the rug in a groove and holding it in place (wish I could explain it better). This was advertised to hold a Navajo rug, and apparently, the ME rug is thicker and heavier, so the marble wouldn't catch. Finally, after a couple beers, I thought of sliding a small screwdriver behind the marble and forcing it onto the rug. Presto! It's been hanging for a few weeks and shows no sign of falling. Oh, and I stained it a dark maple, and it looks great. No additional clear coat or polish needed.

Worked great for all quilt and fabric pieces I used them on, not great for carpet piece.
This is a great and inexpensive way to hang quilts or fabric pieces on the wall. In addition to putting a nail or screw in the wall to hold them up another way is by using the 3M Command strips. I saw some reviews of folks that couldn't get these hangers to work for them. My experience is that they work well often easily sometimes needing multiple tries with fabric and quilts. I could not get them to work on a small carpet piece with a stiffer back to it. For that I had to use mini ash wood hang-ups which worked great but were a little more expensive.

WOW
I had been searching for something to hang a quilt I purchased at an Amish auction. I looked for months. Finally a guy at a craft store told me about these. He said "we used to carry them and they are great "! Of course, found them on Amazon. I stained them to match the wood in my house. The easiest install ever, and the little marble holds your quilt in place. No holes, no sewing, no problem ! And they are in conspicuous.

perfect for my huge quilt
I was really nervous about buying this because of the low ratings. I'm glad I went with my gut and bought them, they work perfectly! I have an 8ft by 7 ft quilt hanging using 7 of these (4 packs). They don't come with screws so you will need your own to attach to the wall, although I used nails and that works too. The fabric easily slid behind the marble and held on very well. I actually think I could've used less hangers because when I was hanging the quilt I attached one at a time and the first hanger on the corner held up the entire weight of the quilt while I hammered the next nail to attach the second hanger. hope this helps

Must have item.
I am delighted with this product. Sanded lightly and gave 2 coats of wall colour paint. Once in place, my wall hanging looks perfectly straight and the brackets are almost invisible. Better still, I can easily change quilts whenever I like.
