Just what I needed!

I wanted to get a grass trimmer that wasn’t battery powered. This alternative was exactly what I was looking for. The cost was a big plus. The trimmer is easy to use and the features are easily accessed.

I like it

As a newly single mom in a rental with a large yard, I'm new at this. The trimmer works great for me. Sometimes the string melts to itself in the spool and breaks off. I'm not sure why, it could be operator error on my part. I carry a flat head screwdriver with me so I can pop the cap easily. It got easier to use once I figured out the string auto advance technique. Release the trigger, let stop and activate, repeat as necessary.

There are pros and cons!

This is an absolute beast of a machine. Putting it together is very simple and does not use a ton of battery power. It chews through anything it comes against as long as it has enough wire to do it. Just like the mower that I bought, I was expecting some cheaper quality but was completely wrong. The only issue I had with this is the wire in the spool. Getting the center cap off is the hardest thing I've ever done even though it looks easy. This is worth the cash if you are looking to add to your yard equipment.

Takes some getting used to

At first didn't like it as much as my older and smaller line trimmer which, after 25 years, finally was at it's end of life. The line advance takes some getting used to and until you figure it out you will either advance too much or not enough. It's all in the percentage of time you are on and off the trigger, and if you allow the motor to come to total rest or not. So now that I am used to something that is more powerful and requires more finesse to operate I am liking it more.

Me ha encantado este producto! Lo recomiendo ampliamente! -En cuanto a la potencia, no tiene nada que envidiarle a las desbrozadoras a gasolina. He podido cortar toda clase de hierbas y pasto en mi jardín. -Antes solía gastar alrededor de $50 en gasolina para podar, ahora es prácticamente gratis, porque no he notado que suba mi recibo de luz. -Hace menos ruido que las otras desbrozadoras y tiene varios ángulos ajustables, además de que el hilo es sumamente fácil de alargar, basta con soltarle el gatillo dos segundos y volver a encenderla para que el hilo crezca! (Por lo menos en mi anterior podadora era muy tedioso tener que alargar el hilo) -El precio es muy barato! He visto otros productos por lo menos al triple de lo que cuesta éste. -Tampoco hay gastos en servicios o reparaciones. -Quizá lo único malo es que dependas de un cable siempre, pero con una buena extensión se soluciona. -Al tener el peso en la parte inferior, da la impresión de que pesa un poco más, pero sólo es cuestión de acostumbrarse. -En estos meses no he tenido algún otro inconveniente. Espero haberlos ayudado!

Powerful Machine!

I bought this string trimmer to replace our old, battery-powered, cordless trimmer that exploded parts last fall, after it had finally had enough of "bump-advancement" technology. My husband fell in love with the Greenworks trimmer's unflagging 5.5 amp motor, and the fact that it runs as long as he wants, instead of running out of battery juice after 20 minutes. We got a 100-foot cord to go with it, and it easily reaches the borders of our triple-wide lot. The first spring "trim" took down foot-tall grasses and weeds, and just kept going. Now, every time hubby uses it, he grins ear to ear. "Man, I love this thing!" He says to me and anyone who'll listen.

Had some brutal weeds

...and this bad boy by Greenworks made short work of it. The weeds in the front of my house had gotten out of control. Our house was in danger of being overrun by the weeds, but Greenworks weedwacker to the rescue. I had no issues save the first few feet of wacking wire that I had to replace. Not sure about the edger function, I tried it but it dug down pretty deep, and it wasn't so easy to guide. All in all, as a weed wacker this thing gets the job done.

Práctica y funcional

Buen producto, fácil de ensamblar y usar, los materiales se ven de buena calidad y funciona perfectamente.. No me gusta que sea un tanto pesado, ya que llega a cansar cuando se usa por más de media hora, pero es cuestión de acostumbrarse a eso y al uso de una extensión eléctrica larga. Otra cuestión es la alimentación automática del hilo de corte, siento que se desperdicia mucho, veremos cuanto me dura.

Tuve una Black and Decker st4500 que recomiendo si eres principiante. Esta Greenworks me encantó para pasar al siguiente nivel. Como es más potente el equipo de seguridad es importante: lentes que cubran todo el ojo, careta, pantalón largo y zapatos de trabajo. Por su potencia puede hacer disparar piedras directo a la cara o a otras personas cerca. Como en la foto. Fuera de eso, me encanta su funcionamiento.
