My Review Contains 7 Different Tombow Mono Erasers
Tombow Mono is my favorite eraser for fine art drawing. After frustrating attempts with multiple kinds of older traditional art erasers in my college Drawing I class, where some erasers were eating away my paper or were too wide and taking away parts of the drawing I wanted to preserve I went searching for an alternative. I found Tombow Mono and read many reviews praising it. My first use was the pen style called MONO ZERO in both round and square tip which are used to take away graphite to “draw” in a subtractive manner as well as for typical erasing of unwanted marks in a drawing. Tombow Mono is made in Japan, and comes in multiple sizes and styles. I have tried seven different Mono erasers at the time of this writing and will discuss all of them here. The white and black color perform the same. The black hides graphite and looks clean. The plastic eraser is firm and holds a sharp edge. All of them do not ruin the paper during the erasing process and lift graphite easily. There are different sizes for different uses, depending on what type of drawing size you do, your need will vary. All of the block style erasers have a paper sleeve which is intended to stay on so the eraser stays clean from your hands and clean while in the art box or pencil case. There are little notches out of the corners of the paper so you can erase with the corner of the eraser. I use a soft brush to brush away the eraser pieces so the drawing is not damaged. JUMBO WHITE: 3.1 inches by 1.5 inches and 0.6 inches high. White. This is the biggest eraser I have seen and would be for large drawings. Too big for most uses in my opinion. MEDIUM BLACK: 2.2 inches by 0.9 inches and 0.4 inches high. This is the closest size to the traditional pink eraser we grew up using in schools. This comes sold as a single eraser or in multi packs. SMALL BLACK: 1.75 inches by 5/8th inch and 7/16th inch high. This is a small chunky eraser. These are sold as a single eraser or in multi packs. If you want something thinner look at MONO SMART. MONO SMART WHITE: This is the thinnest eraser I have ever used. It is 2.64 inches long by 0.67 inches wide and 0.24 inches high. This is an alternative to the MONO ZERO pen style eraser, both get into very small places and the edges stay crisp. MONO DUST CATCH BLACK: This is a block style eraser sized 2.2 inches long and 0.9 inches wide and 0.4 inches high, with a different composition which oddly, the little bits of plastic that are used cling to the eraser. When you lift up the eraser, the bits are stuck onto it then you use your fingers to remove the garbage pieces and throw them away off and away from your artwork. They claim the bits stick to the eraser and they really do, surprisingly it does work! MONO ZERO WHITE refillable pen. I bought both the ROUND and SQUARE tip: This is the smallest finest eraser I have used. It works like a mechanical pencil where you click it to reveal new eraser when the exposed part is used up. You need only buy the pencil part once, you then buy refills of eraser to refill it to save money and for not wasting plastic for our environment. I had bought the round not realizing square existed, the square gets into the tightest spots but obviously as you use the sharpe edges it winds up getting rounded off unless you drag it across spare paper to make the tip totally flat that gives it square edges again. I am elated that these high quality erasers are not expensive and they are so effective in fine art drawing. These are high quality made in Japan. Rating all of them 5 stars = Love It. Your choice of size and style depends on your art style and needs.

Nice small size
I got the smaller round one because I really liked the rectangle one I already owned. I use these with charcoal and they let me erase details with no problem. Great for erasing small stuff in my 4x6 notebook!

Sharp Edge Erases Away Quickly - Works on Graphite and Charcoal
I wanted this to erase back drawings that needed a sharp edge. The only problem is that within one swipe the hard edge is gone and leaves a rounded tip (which is like the round top eraser that Tombow sells). I use this on graphite pencil and charcoal drawings. So for most of the use, unless you are cutting away the eraser with a sharp knife, you are using a round tip not the sharp rectangle edge. I rate it 4 stars = I Like It. A bit expensive, but it works great.
These are the perfect size for detail work. I used to cut erasers to get sharp edges, but these do a great job.

Good tool to have
I draw, and this eraser tool is awesome to getting into those small tight spaces or to create light hair or light reflection. I’m really happy with the purchase.

Love this eraser
What a great tool for precision erasing. The tip does has to be rubbed clean after each use not to transfer the charcoal so it does wear down quite quickly. Make sure you get refills at the same time.

It is everything I need in a fine detail r
If you work with Graphite in your art, this is a must have item.

The refill erasers are fine in themselves
The refill erasers are fine in themselves. I've had them before and the only issue as regards the quality is that I wish they were a bit harder for rubbing colour out easily. I'd like to be able to make one clean stroke of erasing for a highlight on an object. The rubbers are soft and it takes a number of strokes to clear the colour and its hard to get one clean stroke. Otherwise fine. Probably what I was needing was the hard type rubber material that is used for clearing ball point pen ink but in this same narrow cylinder. The delivery time was longer than I would have wished for but that may have been because of where the item came from, so that is also fine. So, the four stars rather than five was only due to the slightly longer delivery time. Otherwise, very very good.
