Simple Game for Beginners

This is a very easy game to learn and enjoy. Perfect for people new to strategy games because it rewards critical thinking but you can still finish respectably without it. This would be a nice gift for history nerds with a sense of humor. You can feasibly play this with kids, but the point of the game is to behead nobles, so I guess keep that in mind!

Great game, Great gift

This game is easy to learn and fun for people with a good sense of humor and an interest in revolution (and/or revolutionary history). I've now bought it multiple times to give as gifts. Great stocking stuffer!

Easy to learn, fun and fast to play, I highly recommend for game nights where some people (RAHUL) don’t always pay attention to the instructions at the beginning when you’re explaining the game. It’s pretty self explanatory by playing and reading the cards

easy fun

Guillotine is super easy to learn, just read the cards and do what they say. But strategy is needeed to win and the game is eminently replayable. Recommended.

Superb Game

Only complaint, the lawyer in our group argued about use of the term 'random'. Some cards could have been better written -- but this was a FUN, strategic, game. Our group spanned five decades, and we all enjoyed playing!

Probably my favourint card game. Very simple game mechanics but with lot of variation and depth to the game play that alwasy keeps things intersting.

Had a lot of fun with this over Xmas

Had a lot of fun with this over Xmas, with a 6 and 10 year old. 6 is probably borderline for being able to understand and play it well, but she managed OK. Much more fun than a lot of games you can play with kids that age.

An hilarious card game that encourages puns.

Perhaps heaven should forgive us for enjoying a novel game with a grim theme. Each player is a guillotine operator during the French Revolution, aiming to win by decapitating the most valuable nobles lined up awaiting their fate each round - while trying to avoid getting rid of innocent victims and thus losing points. Interactive Action cards played at opportune moments change the course of play, and hopefully help you to get “ahead”…………………… Play this and your happiness will not be……cut short.

Great Game

I really enjoy this game. It is simple, quick and fun -- perfect for a lazy afternoon with the family. The only downside to the purchase was the long delivery period. It came from a third party vendor and despite the hefty delivery charge it took a very long time to arrive. In this day and age, it could have been a lot better.

Fun card game for older kids and grown-ups

Great game that brings out the competitive spirit. Bought to play with my son when he was learning about the French Revolution at secondary school and it quickly became a favourite game. Quick to learn, easy to play and no two rounds the same. Gets more strategic the more you play.
