Simple, sturdy and lightweight.
A smallish cereal or salad bowl, this brand is the perfect solution for those with a tendency to break bowls and plates (mainly people with kids, or klutzes like me), but would like something nicer than typical plastic bowls we get for our kids. Why? Although they have a simple design and kind of a meh tan color, they look like ceramic, they're lightweight but they don't tip over with a fork or spoon resting in them, and they are dishwasher safe. Although I'd prefer them to be a little deeper, the only real drawback I see is you can't use them in the microwave.

Unbreakable, attractive, just about perfect!
I'm the first to admit it: I'm a bit of a klutz. As such, I tend to resort to non-breakables for daily activities, saving my fine china and fancier dinnerwear for company. I still want quality, though -- durable, easy to wash, and decent looking. This set of bowls is an excellent case in point. Well made -- they remind me of some other high-quality melamine plates and platters I already own. The color is perfect: my "good" dishes are a combination of warm browns, tans, rust, and sage green, so these even look like a match just sitting on the shelf. Best of all -- they're the PERFECT size for breakfast cereal. I usually have either cereal and milk, or vanilla or peach yogurt plus granola. This size gives me a decent serving without being too much. Dishwasher-safe and BPA-free -- what's not to love? I'll be picking up another set of 4 -- they're just great useful functional bowls. Solid 5 stars.

Solid and without blemish
I was disappointed at first - I got these after checking the size of my Corelle bowls, and seeing that these would've been almost half again as big, better for my son and his cereal in the morning. Then when I unboxed them I found they are actually the same size, maybe a bit less volume... So the problem isn't here, it's with the Corelle listing that showed the wrong ounce capacity for the bowls I have. So that being said, while I likely won't be using them, they are nicely constructed. Smooth, no blemishes or marks on them. They're lightweight, but sturdy, like melamine is. They will stand up well to anyone's use. They're pretty basic though for this price point.

AWESOME cereal bowl
These are a good balance between being lightweight and solid. We decided to stick with plastic for our kids' cereal bowls after accidental drops broke most of the ones from our dish set (oops!). The problem is, the previous set of plastic bowls we got were not heavy enough to stay upright with the weight of a spoon in them. As the cereal would get eaten, the bowl would get too light and start to tip and spill if they put their spoon down in it. These don't have that problem. They have enough heft to stay upright even with empty with a spoon, yet are light and plastic so that we aren't afraid of shattered shards of bowls when something inevitably gets knocked to the floor. Very happy with this set.

Great set to help my little ones practice eating on their own.
I am very pleased with this bowl set. I got them for my kids so they can practice eating on their own without risking broken dishes. They are very easy to wash and foods generally don’t get stuck on to them. I have used these bowls in the dishwasher as well. Overall, I am very pleased with this set.

Red-sauce proof
I've eaten several meals with various red sauces. Tomato based sauces and pepper based sauces. Both have cleaned off nicely off the surface of these bowls after sitting to the point of dryness on these bowls. No stains or markings or any kind are left on the bowls. You can't tell what I've eaten in these bowls. They are as clean as they were on day one. The silverware also does not leave markings on the bowl. The bowls are in perfect condition and take a lot of wear and tear.

Restaurant Quality Bowls
These aren't very large bowls - just standard size cereal bowls - but WOW are they durable. You know the kind of plates and bowls you find at a nice restaurant with a salad bar or buffet that feel like a lightweight but unbreakable plastic? These are made of the same material, melamine. I really love the fact that they are so easy to clean and dishwasher friendly. Very reasonable price, I like them a lot, and I would certainly recommend them.

Nice break-proof bowls
This set of bowls is good for cereal, soup or desserts like ice-cream. They are attractive and easy to clean. They are great for daily use as the melamine is much sturdier than traditional material. Just be aware that these are not microwaveable.
