Bluetooth is the selling point

Nothing special as DMMs go, but remote monitoring via Bluetooth is handy, and at this price it was a no-brainer.

It's got a genuine safety rating. 5 stars for value.

I've been an electrical engineer since the days when the Simpson 260 was the multimeter to have. Now it's the Fluke family. If you have the bucks, buy Fluke. But even if you don't, or don't need the accuracy and durability of a Fluke DMM, you DO want to make sure that the meter you buy doesn't turn into a charcoal briquet in your hand when measuring inside a breaker panel. That's where the CAT ratings come in. That said, anybody can print any rating they want on the front of a meter from the far side of the world. When I see a safety rating, I ask, "Sez who?" In the case of this General Tool DMM, it's ETL, that's who. ETL is one of many "NRTL" test labs (National Recognized Testing Laboratory) along with the likes of UL, TUV, SGS, and others. A safety rating doesn't mean beans unless you know the recognized lab that tested it. I bought this meter to have at my office desk for occasional use. I have a pair of Flukes at home. But if this General Tool DMM were the only one I had, I'd be OK with it. It won't be mistaken for a Fluke 87. For 95% of what I need a meter for, though, this one will fill the bill.

App not compatible w/all devices

Pros. Thick display bars, easy to read. Good price point. All the basic dmm features Bonus temp and NCV features. Doesnt feel way cheap. Came with 9v battery Great meter for the money! Cons App will not work with kitkat Android 4.4 marshallow 6.0 and newer does work. Not sure about 5.0 Lollipop. No backlight. Temp accuracy not good on mine. The app is biggest downer they could list the requirement somewhere.

Well worth it.

Just got it, so I don't know how long the 9v battery will last, especially with blue tooth activated. No back lit screen, but the blue tooth display on my android phone works, and stays connected over 20 ft. The leads are not comparable to my Amprobe, a bit short, but then Amprobe leads cost almost what I paid for this meter. They are good quality, and well insulated though. The high contrast lettering makes the settings easy to dial. The non contact voltage sensing is an added feature. It finds 110 v wires in the wall, and lets me know if any are live. Hard to tell which wire is hot in a tight bundle since it's so sensitive though. Micro ampere reading is good to have too. The rubberized case feels solid and durable, but the dial isn't recessed too much so it may be fragile if thrown in a toolbox. Overall, lots of features. Very happy with the purchase.

BT App (ToolSmart) is practically useless

I purchased the TS04 primarily because of the BT connectivity. The meter itself is fine. In fact, the NCV (no contact voltmeter) is really a nifty feature for finding hot AC wiring in walls. I downloaded the iOS app from the Apple Store. It installed fine and connected without issue. The only thing it does is provide a remote display of whatever is being measured - there is no data recording or plot capability of the measured parameter on the remote device. This was a non-starter for me and I returned the product without incident.

Very handy.

Works well, I use it as my secondary multimeter just when I need to work at a distance but it comes in very handy when you need it. Only issue is you have to select ac/dc voltage, it doesn't auto select, but that's only a slight ease of use problem, otherwise a great product for a great price.

Great tool. Useless app.

The functions are very useful and we'll done. The unit is solidly constructed and has a rugged feel. The app that comes with it to read the btle is completely useless. It is obviously a generic app, probably made by the btle chip manufacturer and as little to no value to this product. Luckily the btle configuration is easy to reverse engineer and there is a JavaScript library to interact with this tool. I use a simple webpage that displays a chart and allows downloading the data. It fixes all the shortcomings of the app.

100% happy

This turns out to be a great Multimeter. Bluetooth functionality is via a app that you download on to android/iOS. All values are transmitted in real-time to the bluetooth host. This measures all the values i require except for Hz, but this is no big thing. The build quality is high and the unit is very strong & sturdy having taken its fair share of drops and bangs already without incident.

Es un multímetro muy completo por el precio, tiene buenos rangos de medición y lo que he probado está bastante bien, el único detalle que le veo y ya siendo exigente es que el multímetro detecta automáticamente si estás midiendo CA o CC lo tienes que cambiar manual, de ahí en fuera está muy bien

Bought this product and the AC/DC Voltage would read incorrectly! Bluetooth function is a great idea, but the app interface was not user friendly.

hola buen dia el producto esta sellado en caja pero con restos de oxido en la batería,aun no lo abierto espero una respuesta al respecto de este detalle
