Solder wire to pushbutton end design.

I purchased these test clips with hook feature for a breadboard "wire pigtail" application, and they certainly met my requirement. Excellent product. I believe however the description should state the clip is designed to have an AWG 18 or smaller wire soldered to the conductor. The pushbutton top is designed to be pulled off, a wire passed thru the opening and soldered to the conductor. Then the pushbutton is pressed back in place and the clip is ready to use. Since the wire has to make a 90° bend inside the pushbutton, I found a smaller AWG 20 wire best for my use. Well packed and shipped promptly.

Great buy for micro-clips

Best buy for these micro-clips. Contact material is brass compared to US made phosphor bronze at a fraction of cost. The plastic tips of all brands of these melt when clipped to hot resistor leads... their achilles tips.

Variable length test cables

Get some good silicone wire like the BNTECHGO multicolor stuff, grab a couple of these clips, solder 'em, and you have inexpensive and darn-good quality test cables that won't break the bank. Yes, it's not Pomona quality, but I'm generally pretty easy on stuff, so for me, it lasts just fine.

They work well for me.

I have made probe ends for my mini-scope and signal generator and component tester with these. They work perfectly for that purpose. They are a bit light duty and can only handle I'd say 18 AWG at the most without straining the push action. They grab on strong to whatever you hook them to so what else do you need in a test clip. I like these.

better than I expected

These were a lot better than I expected. I have had some of these before, and the plastic would melt easily. These clips do not have that problem. I was able to solder the wires without melting the plastic covers, so I was very happy. The seem to grip very well and don't come loose easily. I will buy more.
