Decent
Not a bad product but if I had to do again I would invest in a higher quality one. Worked ok but a little flimsy. And doesn’t hold position the greatest. Ok for novice use

First one was a dud - replacement is accurate! Check against a square upon receipt!
I ordered one of these to keep around the shop and the first one arrived with an inaccurate scale off by about 1 degree, reading 89 degrees when checked against a verified-accurate machinist's square. MAKE SURE YOU CHECK YOUR GAUGE AGAINST A MACHINIST SQUARE BEFORE USING IT FOR ANYTHING. Obviously when you're using this to transfer angles for replication or to create the inverse of an angle, where you won't be actually measuring the angle and are just using it as a transfer tool, then this becomes a non-issue but when using it to actually measure an angle it's frustrating. Needless to say, that unit gets one star. However I decided to give the manufacturer/Amazon another shot before leaving my review, and I contacted Amazon about the issue and a replacement was sent immediately, arriving 2 days later. They didn't request the original back so that one can still be used for just transferring angles, and I handed it off to a co-worker with the warning about the scale so he can use it for a transfer tool. The replacement is accurate! Note that this isn't a "precision scale," as the marking for reading the angle is itself is about 0.5mm wide and that presents wiggle-room in the potential for mis-reading the scale very slightly, but it gets you in the ballpark, and on the replacement it actually lands on 90 when measured against a machinist's square. It's a solid little tool, and very simple. Provided that the scale is marked accurately, there's really not much that can go wrong with this tool aside from being crushed/bent/destroyed through negligence or accident. It is low-tech and perfect for work where "good enough" certainly is; I'd advise against using it to design a space shuttle or something where the difference between 45 and 44 degrees might be a life-or-death situation, though I don't suspect folks doing such things are looking to pinch pennies on angle gauges. It was a bummer that the first one's scale wasn't precise but given how quickly and easily the issue was rectified with absolutely no fuss, I don't feel I can exactly fault the item for that sour first experience. I'd say that if you're in the market for an item like this and trying to keep the cost down, go ahead and take a shot if you're buying from a company that's easy-breezy with returns/replacements: in my experience, if you catch any accuracy issues quickly Amazon and/or General Tools will take good care of you.

Some fuzziness in the cursor, and the locking bolt doesn't get tight enough.
The gauge is fine for 90% of uses, but trying to dial into a specific angle is virtually impossible due to the width of the cursor and the protractor marks. It'd also be nice for the entire assembly to be thicker so it's easier to reference the straight edges, as right now it can be a bit of a balancing act. The locking nut is also pretty loose. From the factory, the washer that aides in the locking was also installed incorrectly (the notch was rotated 90 degrees in the wrong way) which prevented it from locking at all - even after fixing that, it only gets a little tight, which means it only takes a small amount of force to knock it off the angle you set it at. My recommendation if you get this: use this to find an angle and use it to set a T-bevel or another angle gauge, and reference the rest of your measurements off of that. This isn't reliable or accurate enough to be the primary reference in a project.

a bit confusing on how to read, but helpful for estimations
im still trying to learn how the numbers work, but its small, cheap, and fits in my portable toolbox for getting a rough estimate

A little smaller than expected
Fine, but it is a little smaller than I expected. It is a good thing I have good eyesight.

smaller than i thought
the item when arrive was a bit deceptive as I thought it would have been bigger when you see it advertised

General Tools 29 plastic Protractor (angle finder)
For the price you can't complain, it's plastic, and not really designed for using in metal fabrication, being more suited to the classroom for schoolkids or college students. But, it does the job and when it breaks, cheap enough to replace

Bit flimsy, you will never get a templated angle ...
Bit flimsy, you will never get a templated angle, but my company has now bought a load instead of the hyper accurate but oversize previous units.
