Fits 14kw model 58841

This fits my generac 14kw model #58841. I have changed twice with this same bundle. Exceptional price! I place Mobil synthetic oil. I have not had any problems with this bundle. Everything fits perfectly.

Where I live my only choice for this maintenance kit is online... I looked at the generac site and it was more expensive. This kit works great when it comes time for maintenance...

my mistake

Previous review update: I found the missing plug. must have fallen out of the box! no issues with this kit or seller! Original review: All parts were correct. this kit seems to be assembled by seller as parts come all in air filter box. Was missing one of the spark plugs when I received it. thats why not five star

Has what is needed.

This kit has all of the factory filters needed as well as a set of plugs. It also included a cloth for cleanup and a paper funnel to add the oil. The plugs included are RC14YC4 instead of the RC12YC that the generator came with but the only difference between them is that the RC14YC4 is a slightly hotter plug with a bigger gap. Doing some research showed that the RC14YC is the plug that is now used for this engine. Just regap them from 40 thousandths to 20 to 30 thousandths and you are good to go. The air and oil filters fit perfectly and the included cloth catches and cleans up the oil that spills when removing the old oil filter. I didn't bother with the paper funnel since I have a real one to use. My Gen also has a foam pre-filter and the kit doesn't have one of those but they can be washed and reused and that's what I did. The kit does not include any oil so be sure to pick up 2 quarts of 5W30 before you begin. and you should be good to go.

Everything You Need For Yearly Tune-up

I should modify the title a little bit. You still have to go to your local auto parts store and buy a couple of quarts of synthetic oil. But, everything else for your yearly tune-up is included, and at the best price I've found. In fact, the price was so good, I ordered three of these kits, so I'm good to go for the next two years. Included in the maintenance kit is an air filter, an oil filter, two spark plugs, a paper oil filler funnel, a wipe cloth, general instructions, and a stick-on maintenance reminder label for you to enter the date you did the maintenance and the next maintenance due date. The only thing missing from this particular kit is that worthless throw away sparkplug wrench that results in skinned knuckles and new swear words. Omitting it may have lowered the price a bit, and it certainly lowered my blood pressure. The simple solution, if you need one: While you're at the auto parts store buying your synthetic oil, buy a deep well 5/8" socket for your 3/8" drive ratchet. If you don't have a 3/8" drive ratchet, buy one of those, too, and schedule a trip to your nearest Sears store to buy a basic Craftsman socket set. Everyone should have one. Oh, and keep that expensive emergency generator tuned and ready to run with this great yearly maintenance kit from Generac.

Manque de detail dans la description du kit

Le numéro de piece du filtre a air est bon et visible sur photo, le numéro de piece pour le filtre a huile est le bon et visible sur la photo. Mais pour les bougies il y a un problème, j'ai recu 2 bougies CHAMPION RC14YC4 aucun numéro de piece de visible dans la description, or sur mon model de génératrice 15KW , j'ai d'installé des bougies CHAMPION RC12YC originalement et malheureusement une fois installé les bougies recu, j'ai démarré la génératrice et le moteur a fait plusieurs back-fire avant de démarrer, j'ai ensuite remis les ancienne bougies du bon numéro RC12YC , redémarré le moteur et pas de back-fire!! c'est important de mettre le bon numéro de bougie. J'ai acheté 2 kit d'entretien maintenant si rien n'est fait par Amazon je dois trouver 4 bougies RC12YC Pour le reste rien a redire, emballage parfait et temp de livraison record! Merci Amazon Martin

Generac Engine Generator Set Maintenance Kit

It's an OEM Generac mntce kit. I haven't used it yet and don't expect to need to use it for at least 2 years. The price was right as I saw the same kit in another area of Amazon.ca for 3 times the price.
