Gamo products are the BEST!

I am a 71 year old woman who takes care of the critters who just don't know enough to stop chewing on my house....red squirrels in the woods are horrible....use a pellet gun and give a warning shot or two first but this ammo is the best I have ever used. No, I don't kill the animals just to kill them, I am ridding my area around my house of the nasty ones who chew into the house and the wiring instead of staying out in the woods. Love my birds and critters out here but not the pesky red squirrels! Great product GAMO!

Lots of fun to shoot

About half of the Armor rounds came with the little ball missing. Not really a huge deal though, I just bought these for testing, but it’s still kinda disappointing. The gold PBA rounds may have a higher velocity (I don’t have a chrono to test it) but they do not have the piercing capability of most other rounds I’ve tried. It was still a lot of fun putting these through my Gamo P-430 and my Crosman Triple Threat. Both of which happily accepted all of these rounds.

Nice selection of different types of pellets but with they were all the same weight

This is a decent selection of different types of pellets if your not sure what you want. Its almost impossible to tell from the product description but you get 150 each of the redfire and rocket pellets and 50 each of the armor and raptors, each of these have a different use but they can't all be easily interchanged due to different weights. I sighted my 1200 FPS redtail in using 7.8 grain Crossman pointed pellets and found the redfire and armor pellets were accurate and required no scope adjustment. I don't hunt and didn't notice any real difference in penetration into the wood pile I use as my target backstop so take that for what it's worth, I think most .177 caliber rounds are going to penetrate fairly well. The rocket pellets are 9.8 grains and will require significant scope adjustment if switching to them from the other pellets in this pack. If you have a high velocity gun that tends to go supersonic even with average pellets these might be good to slow it down. The raptor pellets are alloy and if you have a higher velocity air rifle like my redtail they will be supersonic and produce a fairly loud crack. I didn't really test their accuracy compared to the others, I just get a kick out of the crack every once in a while but mostly prefer to shoot in peace without letting others around know.

Perfect for trying out several types

This set comes with 150 Redfires, 150 Rockets, 40 PBA golds, and 40 PBA armors. The rockets were great for just a standard pellet, nothing special, nice grouping at 35 yards. The redfires where a little less consistent but when they hit they did exactly what they are supposed to... mushroom. The redfires make taking out the black birds that eat out of our garden quick and easy. The PBA golds where great for target shooting, not so much for hunting crows. They let out a very distinctive crack when they were shot as well as shot clean through the black birds I shot. Fortunately it killed the crow without a problem but I can imagine with slightly larger game that this would not cause a clean kill, and I never want to leave something injured and have to suffer. I only shot a few of the PBA armor rounds, really didn't see the niche for them, but they were included so I shot off a few, decent grouping and because it was the PBA pellet it makes the louder crack when fired. A little expensive for only 380 pellets, but gave me a chance to test a bunch. Since then I've been using RWS match rounds and JSB Diablos. I have found they work best in my Gamo Hornet. Each gun is different though, its good to do some trial and error.

est way to to try new pellets

Good value for these pellets . Thank to this assortment I found out my rifle really likes the Gamo Rockets and the PBA Raptors . I was told the Red fire was the most accurate by others who have the same rifle I do (Gamo Whisper Maxxim .177) .But for me a 10 shot group is 8 inch at 30 yrds. While the Rocket and Raptor give me a 1 inch group at 30 yards . And the PBA Armor shoots a 5 inch group at 30 yrds .

Work great and very good value

Work great in my Gamo pellet rifle. I'm surprised at how accurate they are out to 50 yards. Didn't test it farther because come on, it's an air powered pellet rifle.
