One works “almost” perfectly...it changes colors as I programmed it to do. I say almost because neither globe stays lit for the 6 hours shown on the boxes. They come on around 8 and are dark by 10 or so, and we’ve had nothing but sun mostly here for months. But the other globe lights up every night just steady white. Every time I notice that, I have to unlock the deck door, go outside, and use the remote to make it change colors. The next night I expected it to change colors, but it ALWAYS lights up just plain white again. WHY? I want to return it. Please advise how.

There is nothing misleading about the product description but the specs don't tell the whole story. Physically the unit is reasonably robust and suited to outdoor, including floating, use. The solar battery charger function works well and the twilight sensor is set about right. I have owned and experimented with digital color changing lights for over ten years and therefore have made observation of certain perceptual peculiarities of these lights. It is highly desirable to be able to alter the cycle rate of the lights and this product does not allow this, it has a fixed cycle rate. Unfortunately, if you are going to have a fixed rate then the one available is not a good choice. It cycles through the color spectrum (if in that mode and not a fixed color setting) in about 10-12 seconds. That is too fast to achieve the best perceptual trickery on your brain. A better choice would have been about 60 to 90 seconds. At that rate it is not immediately obvious on first glance that the color is changing. It is only when you look at it for seconds or longer that you realize the color is changing and so smoothly between infinite (nearly) shades that the brain has an "Ah ha!" moment. The circuitry that controls the color cycling is rather crude. At one point in the cycle there is a definite glitch and jump in the color as it starts another round. With the fast color cycle this product might best be used in array, that is multiple units, e.g. floating on a pool, if you want to spend your gelt on such ostentation. Late note: Product lasted for about a year before failing.

Not water Resistant
While I like the product however, somehow water is now in my globe - I do not own a pool either ? and I cannot remove the bottom to empty the water -- interesting..... so it's not true being water resistent!! Not worth the price I paid -- should be much cheaper...

Awesome globe BUT does have its limitations...
We travelled to the islands and the resort where we stayed had something like this in their courtyard. My wife loved them...so, of course I looked for something like them to put in our back yard. I purchased 2 different globes, this one and one that required a charger. Pound for pound this globe performed extremely well and I am satisfied with it. It works as advertised, gives off a decent amount of light, is weatherproof, etc.. HOWEVER, it does have its limitations. Since it is solar charged you need a good long day of sunshine for it to work well and work long. With a good charge it lasted around 5 hours for me. If the day was overcast or partly sunny, it may have worked for a shorter time or not at all. If you live where you get a lot of sun the majority of the time these will serve you well. If you live in a location like I do where you have a lot of overcast days you must know they may not be to your liking. I am ok with it as I use it only for occasions. If I wanted it to be lit every day I would get the larger, chargeable globe that is also twice the price. I do have one of these and they are better but also way more expensive. So it depends on what you want it for, how you wish to use it, and where you live. I still gave it 5 stars as it did everything it claimed. We are happy with it.

Read and trust reviews. Beautiful but not long lasting
After reading other reviews, decided take my chances...It is always a hope that you may going be more lucky then others. I have left balls on the sun for 2 days( first day it did not charged them enough. It went on for a about a few minutes and turned off). After 48 hour it was fully charged and I have placed in the water. One out of 3 balls in the few hours start sinking, about 20% was under water by morning. Water liked through something inside it. Very sad. Was hoping at least enjoy it for a season for that price, not 1 time use. It is beautiful in the water, however you need probably at least 6-10 for a normal size pool to make an impact. I got only 3 and it was ok but not wow. It is glowing and moving on top of the water but not making water glow around or under. You see the ball and reflection, not very bright, still very pretty.

We purchased 3 times over the past few years and each time it is different, why?
This year, we purchased on June 1 and another on June 20. The one from June 20 came to us with yellow stains that I cannot remove with cleaning. It's really weird. So when the two solar balls are floating on the pool, we chose white light, but the newer one looks yellow due to the yellow stains. And even when we change colors, they look different. We spent $90 on this and it's disappointing that the quality and consistency just isn't there.

Smaller than I expected but very nice
I ise it in my garden to light it up at night the battery lasts 6 to 7 hours a night I have it on color changing mode . Its a bit smaller than I expected but very nice

Poor quality control, no support but neat when it works.
I ordered two. One was defective and Amazon replaced it. Of the two only one has survived a season and it is really nice. The 2nd has a leak which allowed rainwater to enter and it shorted out. I contacted Game via Facebook instant messenger. They never bothered to reply. Perhaps phoning might have been better and if so then they should indicate that on their site. Essentially zero customer service and the product has quality control issues. Really neat when they work but unless they support it better I would not recommend buying this, even at half price. Edit: I was sent a new one by Game after I managed to email someone from the company. The design has changed with the bottom now waterproof. The whole bottom part is now one piece up to about 1/4" and then there is a seam. Not sure if water could enter through there as seems to still have a slight opening. Much better product, works better but I am still not convinced that water won't leak in. I would give this new globe 3-4 stars, tentatively, if it withstands rain. Make sure to get the new version. Revised to 4 stars. New design works great.

Lights up well
I got this product on clearance otherwise I would not have bought it. That being said, if I could afford the regular price I would buy it again. It works well and looks really cool in my garden. ( I have it on a stand at the top of my cement block garden $
