Not great, but fine

My old Saucony running gloves needed replacement so I bought these Gaiam as well as New Balance. These are okay; I wish I'd bought two pair of the New Balance. Not crazy about the dots/design on these gloves, and they seem kind of bulky - I suspect because Gaiam is trying to be "multipurpose" in their use. I don't care about touchscreen - I'm out to run, not to text or choose podcasts.

Not great on touch screens

Bought these for walking in cooler weather. I have other gloves that I prefer wearing, but bought these so I could easily use my phone to track workouts & play music. Unfortunately the touch screen use does not work well on my right index finger in particular. I usually have to use other fingers to get phone to work. Inconvenient to say the least, since that's all that I bought these for.

High Tech gloves aim high, hit some targets

I wear a women's small size gloves and it's not always easy to find gloves that are both comfortable and warm. The small/medium Gaiam Running Gloves are a decent compromise for me -- they are a good fit, slightly big, but fitted enough to be able to handle keys and other small items without difficulty. The polyester material is smooth and warm and I haven't washed them yet, but they look like they'd make it through the washing machine fine (I think I would skip the dryer though, the polyester is the quick drying kind). The clips that allow you to attach the gloves to each other, thereby making it hard to lose one (which is why I had to get this new pair of gloves) is a good idea, but I found it too difficult to use. The touchscreen compatible fingertips worked for me about half the time. Good gloves for now, but I will be keeping an eye out for replacements.

Touchscreen compatible gloves are better if your hands aren't big sweaters

Because I have Reynaud's, I have to be very careful about not letting my hands get too cold, so I am always looking for the best possible gloves, which is why I tried these. My hands tend to start out really cold (when gloveless) but as soon as they get warm, they sweat. Because these are (according to the tags) 88% polyester and 12% spandex, they aren't very breathable, which means that accumulated sweat has nowhere to go. When this happened, I simply took them off, however, I prefer gloves that are either absorbent or moisture wicking, which these aren't. The fit is perfect (size small fits me, which means they are true to size) except that the cuff is loose when I prefer a snug fit. In summary, this true to size, basic pair of Gaiam running gloves is just fine for users whose hands tend not to sweat and slightly cool temperatures.

Running and More

Fantastic, not just for running but also for driving, or a multitude of other activities. Your hands don't get all sweaty and there is a fair amount of compression that feels wonderful. This review is for the l/XL size. My glove size is 7 and 1/2 or 8 depending on the manufacturer. These are comfortably snug. As you can see in the photograph, the fingertips have a light honeycomb patterned silicone in order to grip enough to use your phone or other device. It worked better on my tablet than my phone, which might be the sensitivity settings, but it does work. The last photograph shows how they clip together that hopefully, will prevent the loss of a single glove. There are reflective dots on each glove for increased night visibility. One of the best features is that they are machine washable. Love the way they look and feel, and I believe them to be a good value. Hopefully the photographs can help you to make a decision about whether or not these are the gloves that will be right for you.

nice, average warmth, comfortable

These gloves are nice, lightweight, and perfect for average weather conditions maybe down to the mid 40's because if you are running, you will probably produce enough heat for these to function well. I have some similar thickness gloves I am comparing them to and I would say these are on par for brisk mornings or cooler evenings. Our temperatures are higher now so I can't test this 100% AND of course, warmth can be highly subjective. For sizing, these are definitely for a smaller hand so 6.5 to 7.5 range for Small/Medium. I didn't see a size chart posted, but if you wear a size 8 or 9 go with the large/XL for this brand. The quality is satisfactory.

Nice gloves, but truly SMALL

My wife needed gloves for the outdoor fitness camp that she does, and these are just the thing! I do want to say that they are truly SMALL. She has petite hands and these are snug on her, so do not buy these if your hands are closer to "medium." The touchscreen feature works perfectly, by the way. She didn't think that it would! The material is somewhat thin, but she said that is a good thing for her workouts!

Lightweight, Comfortable Gloves

These are lightweight & comfortable while exercising or just wearing outside. They have grips & the fingers work on my smartphone. I would say they are true to size – I usually wear a medium in gloves & these in S/M fit me close-to-the-hand but not too tight. I you like a more loose fit, get the large. These are not for very cold weather – they provide light protection. These go thru the wash fine – I hang to dry. I like that they clip together so they don’t get lost in the wash or in the glove bin.
