Nice
First time buying a poncho like this. There's a very thin lining so hopefully it will not be as hot as those cheap pocket ones. Very large and covers a LOT. Seems large enough to cover a BIG back pack - but I will have a small one on. The hood is really nice because it has a drawstring so you can have it close to your face. It's a tad similar to a tarp so I'm not sure how well it would hold up for true hikers - getting torn, etc. But is is perfect for the small amount of exploring I will be doing on vacation. It folds nicely into the cover and will pack nicely in your suitcase, etc.

Quality poncho that lacks refinement.
Overall the poncho is great. It's lightweight but certainly rugged enough to be used regularly. The snaps are of good quality and the pull string for the hood seems durable enough. The size of the poncho is large enough to fit pretty much anyone. Because of the size you might think that this would make an excellent candidate for a poncho that could be used as a tarp if needed. Unfortunately because there are no grommets to use for tie downs the poncho even with its large footprint cannot be used to create shelter. I think it's an oversight that should really be addressed on the next iteration, this poncho especially at this price point would have been perfect for a car emergency bag if it only had grommets for tie downs.

For those who are serious about a good quality Poncho
Light weight? Check! Big enough to cover and protect? Check! Good color? Well . . . Semi check. The one drawback is that this poncho is a little bulky as you pack it away until you need it.

It works
Pretty simple design and the poncho feels pretty rugged, the bag broke after the first use though.

Good but not great
There are some really good things about this poncho: it is lightweight, breathable, and waterproof. On a recent backpacking trip, I was the only person who was fully dry and for that, it gets high marks. But the snaps come apart with the slightest pressure, and that is hugely problematic and became absolutely frustrating since I ended up feeling like I was just wearing a big bag since it had no structure without the snaps which just didn't stay together. But I can't forgive it for putting me in peril. I was crossing a fast-moving river that was flooding in the rain, and with the slightest bit of wind, the snaps separated and the sides were in my face and obstructing my view at the worst possible time. I got home and ordered a much more expensive one from Sea to Summit. One solution is to just crazy glue the snaps together since they don't actually need to come apart, unless you want to use it as a tarp. But overall, it did the trick of keeping me dry, but I can't give it high marks; it gets a good but not great.

Lightweight and large
It has a handy case to fold it up into to keep it separate from other things in my pack. It's very lightweight and large.
