Exceptional

I convert vehicles to run on natural gas and have to do a lot of custom fabrication, including cutting holes through truck/van beds and quarter panels. I was burning through a lot of hole saws from the big stores but they wouldn't last very long. This cutter, when used right (low rpm, sufficient pressure) outlasted 15 of the store bits. So the quality more than made up for the additional cost. Yes, you do have to by the arbor bit separate, but it is obviously reusable.

not as pictured

If you order this, its not as pictured, you only get the hole saw, you need to order the 925-011 small arbor to use it. The saw is super sharp and looks like it will last a while. Its not for thick materials, it only cuts a few mm deep before you are up against the hub.

Contractor rater hole cutter

This was purchased to supplement a set of these cutters I bought six years ago. Just now replacing the 2 1/2" cutter after drilling an untold number of holes through various metals

I hate that people review these things negatively. READ THE PRODUCT DESCRIPTION!!! Don't buy something based on the picture. These cutters are great. Fast and clean cutting.

Tricked!

I bought this hole saw after purchasing and using the 7/8" carbide hole saw made by Ideal. The Ideal hole saw is nothing more than the name you are paying for as is doesn't work any better than a regular bi-metal hole saw in 16ga steel. I was hoping this one made by Greenlee would be better, and it is cheaper to boot, but the lower price comes from the fact that while the picture shows the cutter AND the pilot bit, it does NOT include the pilot bit!!! Unreal, I think I will return this. Amazon, please change the picture to show EXACTLY what you are getting!!!

Picture is INCORRECT.

Beware that the arbor is not included...only the cutter.

Misrepresented Product ... be aware!

The product picture shows the drill body as being a part of the cutter. The product description actually states: " Its split-point pilot drill prevents walking and makes accurate hole placement every time. The spring loaded slug ejector saves time and no tool is required to change the cutter sizes" However, the pilot drill is not included even though it is pictured as an intergal part and described in the description. Only the circular cutter is provided and of course it only mates with the manufacturer's pilot drill which appears ot be sold seperatly. This is clearly false advertising and seems to be tolerated by Amazon making me quiestion the other products represented on the site! Now I will throw good money after bad in paying to return this misrepresented product. I am really upset. Online shopping from a supposedly reliable sourse (Amazon) should not be like this!. I can't understand why Amazon hasn't demanded that this product be withdrawn if not properly depicted.

Doesn't come with the arber/pilot bit

It is just the cutter. Good for a replacement if you bought the full kit. Great tool, i got around 400 holes out of it not countint PVC/fiberglass junction boxes
