Do not purchase this item waste of your money!!!
This product is horrible; I would not suggest to purchase this is. Was a disappointment since I purchased to used for my volleyball net so my kids can play a different game then volleyball. The netting does not stay on; did not even last a day!

Fun in the water. Inconsistent netting on the paddles, hard to throw the ball using the paddles
This toy is really meant to be used wet. We tried to use it dry and it wasn't much fun. Wet, however, was a lot more fun. My grandkids really enjoyed playing with it in the pool and at the lake. The handles are a good size for gripping by adults and my grandchildren. The net makes it easy to catch the ball and my grandchildren loved that they could reach out and snag the ball even if it wasn't a good throw. The only problem with the paddles is that you can't toss the ball with them. The ball gets hung up in the netting and will either not come out when you swing the paddle, or it just falls out. That doesn't sound like a big deal to some, but if you're right-handed then you have to put the paddle under one arm while you throw the ball unless you're able to toss it with your left. My grandkids haven't learned that kind of dexterity yet. The netting on one of the paddles is a little deeper than the other but I didn't think too much about it until I read other reviews that mentioned the same thing. Not sure why the maker would do this, but my grandchildren didn't seem to notice it. It's a fun game, especially in the water. I would like to get another set so we can include more players. The $9 price tag is very reasonable for this product.

Better as water toy.
This was a good choice to grab and go on our summer vacation. We rented a house with a pool and that was where this toy was used. The nets and 'ball' float, so it made it easy to use and not lose. My 9 year old and 13 year old had a blast tossing back and forth. It took them a while to get the hang of it, but once they did, they were pretty good at catching. I understand that this says it is a 'yard' game as well, but without the ball being wet and getting just a tad heavier, it doesn't sit in the nets very well. All in all, it is a little flimsy for extended use but great for a summer of pool fun or a quick and easy toy to bring on vacation.

just ok
I brought this out on a hot day hoping to get nice and wet. That didnt really happen. There is a minor amount of splashing when you catch the ball, but really unless you are aiming at someones face and they are catching right in front of their body, the splash just goes off to the side. You cant use the nets to throw the ball (unless you want it going somewhere wacky). The ball does hold a good bit of water, and you get a bit of wetness just playing catch with it.

Simple game. . . "wet" or "dry"
This is a simple sort of catch came. The “rackets” are quite large at 16” long by almost 7” wide, at the widest point. I’m not really sure why you would want to wet the ball. . . but you can if you want to. The nets are not very deep, so you really have to catch at an angle to actually hold the ball. You can play in / around water. . . but gain, you can also play “dry”. Franklin Sports makes lots of two-man, inexpensive, games like this.

A Great New Outdoor Game
This is a great new game for pool or yard play. The concept is simple: toss and throw a water-soaked ball with nets. It's different from the games commonly played in our neck of the woods, so it gives kids a chance to use different muscles and new skills. The kids loved it, and being able to play in the pool is a very good thing in the summer heat. Our adult players noticed that the two nets are inconsistent. One was much shallower than the other. The deeper net makes it easy to catch the ball -- but hard to throw. The shallower one made it easier to throw but harder to catch. There were no rules in the set and it's possible that one is intended for throwing and the other for catching and there are other players who are supposed to be involved and... Well, without any additional information, it seems as though the nets are inconsistent, so competition will be uneven. Assuming you're playing for fun and not competition, this is a good toy to add to your active play repertoire. Getting people outside and moving is a worthwhile goal in the summer, and a variety of active play toys can do that.

Makes a Good Pool Toy for Teens
First thing I want to mention is if you're buying this to play on dry land you're probably going to be disappointed. It's designed more to be a pool toy regardless of what the description says. With that being said we did use it in the pool. While the younger kids were just frustrated with it my teenagers had a great time. I think the problem is with the netting depth. It's too lose to be used as a "raquet" but not deep enough to catch the ball easily for younger kids. Another thing to consider is that the quality isn't that spectacular so I don't see it lasting very long. However, for the price they are asking it really isn't a problem to replace it if it breaks after a few months. Overall it makes a pretty decent pool toy for older kids. I wouldn't, however, use it on land or give it as a gift to younger children.

It's OK
Maybe this works better in the pool or at the lake. It wasn't so great at the park and at home. The plastic frame is on the cheap side, and the netting isn't that deep. My 7 year olds were not that impressed. I think this would be better if the netting were deeper.
