Simple game
This is a simple game of shooting discs back and forth. The goal is get all of yours to the other side. The rules are a bit frustrating, but it can be a fun game for 6-8yo kids. Decent quality. The inserts to adjust difficulty are nice. My kids just never really got into that much.

Fun Game with a bit of a Dangerous side!
The game is simple to understand and fun to play! My wife and I tested it out first and then played with my 4 and 6yr old kids. The way the game is played is both players start with 5 pucks, count down from 3 and then start shooting them through the middle hole. the goal is to get all of your pucks to the other side and clear your side of any pucks. If the other person is just as good you the game will last longer because they will be adding pucks to your side at the same rate you are getting rid of them. The game has three different modes; easy, medium, and hard. To switch game modes all you have to do is slide out the middle insert which changes the size of the gaps you'll be sending pucks through. The overall assembly of the game upon opening was super simple to assemble, all you have to do is slide the strings into the designated grooves and you're done. SAFETY We all had fun but there are a couple of things you should be aware of: 1. When playing with kids we found that it is better to take turns because it is easy to hit a finger if you both are shooting pucks at the same time. 2. Sometimes my kids’ fingers would slip as they shot the puck causing the front of it to tip up and then shoot off of the board and hit the other player. This didn’t cause any injuries but could have if I allowed them to lay on their stomachs while playing like they wanted to. I definitely do no recommend letting your kids play unsupervised. 3. If you pull all the way back on the string it adds way too much tension. You only need to pull it back a little bit to have enough force to send the puck across the board. This is hard for children to understand. QUALITY For the most part everything feels like great quality although we did have a couple of issues. 1. The middle inserts were not all straight. This wasn’t severe enough to affect the game but enough to easily notice and they didn’t all sit flush on the game board. (see photo) 2. After playing between 10 and 20 games we noticed that part of the wood started to break and chip away next to where the middle insert goes. (see photo) At this point I am not sure if that is all that will chip away as the rest seems sturdy. Overall its a fun game for the whole family, even with modifying the rules for the younger kids it was still fun. Rating it 4 out of 5 stars due to the middle pieces not being straight and part of the board chipping away already.

Very large, pretty fun
This is a pretty fun game, though it gets boring rather quickly. This is a very large set, so keep the dimensions in mind when ordering. It comes with 10 pucks and 3 different wooden slots (easy, medium, hard) to put in the center. You try shooting the pucks through the holes, and that’s it. My kids and I enjoy playing this from time to time. With that being said, it can be dangerous due to the elastic and flying wooden pucks. Definitely not for kids under 5/6.

Simple but Fun and Addictive Game!
My family first tried Franklin Sports Sling Puck Hockey Game at a neighbor's home, and we loved it immediately. So, we jumped at the chance to test our copy of this simple but addictive game! ►The Game: In a nutshell, this game is a simple, wooden tabletop game where the objective is to fling the small, round wooden pucks through cutouts in the center divider. The first person to get all their pucks through to the other side wins. Games become a frantic race to see who can shoot their pucks through the wooden divider. The game is simple but much fun! ►Thoughts on Value: This is a well-built game! Franklin Sports used natural wood throughout, down to the pucks. The base looks like a laminated wood particle product that the pucks glide across. The "shooters" are just elastic bands stretched across the back of each side. It's rare to see wood used in toys these days, so I was pleasantly surprised to see Franklin Sports use that material here. I think the asking price is reasonable given the material and overall build quality. Recommended!

Super fun, easy to play, tabletop game
I wasn't sure what to expect with this game but it was so much more fun than I thought it would be. There's basically zero assembly with the exception of adding the the elastic cords. The game is well built, easy to learn, and has 3 different different levels of play. To adjust the levels, the wood cutout in the middle can be changed out. The game is pretty straightforward in that each player gets 5 wooden pucks and the object of the game is to clear all the pucks from your side first by slinging the pucks through the hole in the middle to your opponent's side using the elasticized string to launch them. Sounds easy, right? Lemme tell you, this game is fast and furious and my hubby and I were laughing our butts off at how competitive it became. The main reason for the 4 stars is that there's not a great way to store it and it slides all over the place if you're not careful and/or holding it while playing. It would've been fantastic to be able to fold this for storage or have some sort of rubberized feet or bottom so it didn't slide around like crazy in the table. We ended up holding opposite corners with our non-dominant hand to keep it in place during play but it would've been better for it to stay in place on its own. Overall, definitely recommend for a fun, unique, and easy to learn game that's lots of fun!

very fun game for kids and adults (with kids).
I really love this concept. It's so fun. The only problem I have is that the bottom platform is rather thin, without reinforcement, so over time, with moisture and/or heat, it will warp. This would cause the puck to go below the rubberband making it impossible to play the game properly. I say this becuase mine is slightly bowed and the puck barely is caught by the rubber band. Just 2 or 3 more mm and it would slide under the rubber band.

FUN FUN FUN FUN FUN FUN FUN FUN FUN FUN FUN FUN
This game is a lot of fun. My family is ultra competitive and we have had some very intense battles with this game. Blood and tears have been shed. I like the different inserts which give the game flexibility and longer replay value. This is bigger than a lot of sling hockey games. Man, we have just really beat this thing up with our battles and it is still going strong.
