Added great functionality to my small closet

This hook is perfect. I put it in utility room to hang clothes out of dryer. Folds up out of the way and telescopes out for use. PERFECT!!!!!

Hook - Line - and Hanger!
Great product and easy to install. I have a small bathroom and needed a place to hang my robe since an over the door coat rack hanger wouldn’t allow me to close the door. I was able to install in about 10 minutes (after finding the stud) and works great when I use. I do think the price is a little steep but otherwise for the quality of the item it is worth it.

Ok, it's difficult to get excited about a clothes hook. But when you need one, you need one. This matte black hook from Franklin Brass is a hook with a functional difference; it not only pivots upward reducing it's horizontal projection, but it also extends, making it useful to hold items which a hook simply wouldn't hold. When flipped into it's upward position, the hook projects 3 1/4 inches from the wall. When flipped down it projects 6 1/2 inches. When in this flipped down position and fully extended it projects a rather impressive 12 1/2 inches. I haven't done a loading test, but I would estimate that even in this fully extended position, this hook could easily hold 10-15 pounds with no deflection or bending. Of course, the weak link here is how solidly the hook is screwed into the wall. For me, there is only one way to install such hardware and that is to screw it into wooden studs or solid wood. Using plastic sheetrock anchor is simply asking for trouble. For a hook like this, which can extend it's fulcrum, installing into wood with a 1 1/2 inch to 2 inch long screw is essential. The hook comes with two 1 1/2 inch screws with black philip heads and two thick plastic sheet rock anchors. As I said, I would not advise using such anchors with this hook. Find a stud using a stud finder and hit wood with the screws. This hook rather ingeniously will not flip down from it's vertical position without first lifting it upward. This is a very nice design feature which should help prevent accidental downward motion. While I find the overall aesthetic a bit dated, it is not without character. Certainly this is function before design and that is a welcome thing in what is usually such a trivial, common place piece of hardware. I will try to add some photos showing this hook installed. I would certainly recommend this to anyone needing a specific, extending arm hook. Well built and solid, from a well respected maker, this hook check many boxes!

This is a Great Wall mount hook& extension rod. Well designed. Made with heavy duty metal. Great for hanging large heavy bags or an extra place to hang clothes in the laundry or closet. Great product

READ THIS BEFORE YOU BUY!!
The media could not be loaded. This hook is actually very helpful and useful. I hung it by our front door so that we can have a place for our jackets/bags when we leave or return home and so that guests have a place for their jacket/hat/purse when they come over. Before you install this hook on your wall, I must warn you NOT to use the drywall anchor it comes with. Most anchors I’ve used to hang things are hollow in the middle. This one is not, and (as you can see in my picture) the screw is too long to fully screw into the anchor. I tried to use it and ended up with gaping holes in my wall because it didn’t work out. I have a lot of standard drywall anchors around the house from previous projects, so I used one of them instead so that I can actually use this hook. I would recommend you do the same if you purchase this.

So durable!
We got this hook for our main bathroom, to hang those really big towels on and it’s awesome! Easy to assemble and install and pretty well made. Does it’s job plus some.

Works well, a little annoying to install
Comes with nice anchors and screws for installation (the top of the screws was even painted black to match the hook!) but the holes are so close to the hook that it's a little annoying to screw in straight. Mine ended up slightly crooked, but it works fine, so I'm not worried about it. The hook can be in the upright or out position (it kind of locks into place when it's upright) and it slides smoothly in and out when you extend it. Works great when you want a hook that you can move mostly out of the way at times.
