More than just crawfish

So, I had an issue with a snake getting into my Garden Pond and eating my Fish and Frogs. I could see him once and awhile but no way of catching him to remove him when he would go in. Out of desperation I saw an article on catching him by using one of these traps. In one day, I was able to catch him in the trap and remove him. My wife scoffed and told me it would never work because of the opening at each side and the snake would just swim out.

Works Great

I have been using this trap for a few months now and I have to say that I am impressed. I see no signs of rust or wear and tear at all. I use it in fresh water as well as salt water. The holes are a bit large for micro fish but you can definitely trap anything 2 inches or bigger with no issues

Cool trap

Just put your bait of choice in it, (i use chicken flavored cat food) tie a rope to it, and then put a few rocks in their so it will sink. Crawdad do struggle to get out however. Some will find it out.

catch's everything but minnows lol

Minnow trap came right on time. trap was easy to use. I live right on lake Conroe, TX and wanted something to catch livebait . I use white bread and Pedigree dry dog food as bait so far I've caught 4 baby snaping turtles 1 crawdad and 3 baby Crappie, but no Minnows.

Great design

Love this trap!. Definitely a step above the torpedo traps. Smart design with the sliding door and single access for crawfish.

Son uses in creek

My son uses this in the creek. Catches a lot of small fish and other things, then releases. Even caught a snake once!

Easy to use and sturdy

I got the first one that seemed to have issues with the latch and it actually came apart in the water but seller provided a replacement and it has been great. Easy to open and close while not feeling flimsy at all. Pretty sure this will last many many years of use. Def recommend

We caught two nice crawfish with this trap from a local lake

Attached everything as noted in the instructions but lost half of the trap on my second toss out. Bought another one thinking that perhaps we had not put it together properly. Attached as per instructions again but this time I also zap-strapped the one end together. Again, while tossing it in for the second time it came apart. Luckily we didn't lose the half this time because of the zap-strap but there seems to be a design flaw. We caught two nice crawfish with this trap from a local lake.

Great, well-built trap

Great, well-built trap. Good finish and locks together well. Opening is nice and wide for larger crayfish (crawfish for you in the south).
